He is our new yard guy. They come weekly. He comes on Thursday. He noticed there's something wrong with our sprinkler system, so this Thursday he's going to be working on my sprinkler system for me.

We had hired John to cut some arborvita in our backyard. Unfortunately, things did not start off on a good foot. He was 1.5 hours late to give us bid with no phone call or text. I had to evenutally text him. When he finally showed up he did give us a good price, so we scheduled the job for May 31st and my husband took the day off to be there, but John never showed, never called or texted. I finally texted him twice, with no response so my husband called, but only got VM. Hours later John finally texted back and said he had a family medical issues the night before and would not be out. We understood this and were sympathetic, but couldn't quite figure out why he didn't take 5 mins to call or text a client to tell them he'd need to reschedule. Needless to say, he still hasn't called or texted us to reschedule this job and it's been three weeks!! However, he did manage to do a job recently for my mom that was a lot more money, so I guess his reputation and customer service didn't matter much to him where we were concerned because we weren't paying as much. We have since hired someone else for roughly the same price who is more courteous of others time. Won't entertain using him again.
