Sean and Cameron did an awesome job of installing a new water heater and pressure relief valve for us today. They made sure that all the lines, seismic kit and stand were also replaced. They were on time, respectful of us and our property and they even called ahead to let us know what time they would be arriving. We would recommend them and Sutherland Plumbing in a heartbeat! Thank you for a great job and thank you for answering all of our questions and showing us the care and maintenance of the new water heater.

After reviewing several bids and consulting Angie's List for reviews, we hired Sutherland Plumbing to complete our PRV and water heater replacement and could not be happier with that decision. After our initial call to the company on a Saturday morning, Ti Sutherland, the owner, reached out personally that same day to check-in and schedule a time to have someone come out within 48 hours to take a look at our water heater and the issues we were experiencing. John and Cameron were the team that came out, and they were able to quickly diagnose the issue and prepare a bid. A week later they returned to do the removal of our old water heater and install the new one, and I cannot say enough about their work! They are probably two of the most professional, courteous, hard working individuals I have come across in any line of work or industry, and we will never use any other plumbing service again. To add to our satisfaction with not only the water heater work, John asked if there was anything else in the house we needed them to take a look at, and he fixed our low pressure faucets that had not been supplying hot water in over a year, and even greased the tracks of our garage door. To finish it all out, the Sutherland owners sent us a hand-signed card thanking us for our business that arrived just a few days after completing the job. This company not only knows what they are doing on the technical plumbing side, but they also provide next level customer service on top of it all. You will not find a better plumbing company in the Portland metro area and I give Sutherland Plumbing my highest recommendation!

John called us on Monday and said he could come over sooner then scheduled. We said YES. He told us what is would cost, explained what had to be done and performed the job. What we liked was that he wore booties and cleaned up where he had worked. Also he checked out an issue that we had in our upstairs shower and gave us the pro and cons of the job at this time. Since we are going to replace the shower stall in about a year he suggested have it down then instead of now and it would save us labor cost. Such honesty. Would use again!!

During the beginning stages of a bathroom remodel, I ran across a problem with an old, outdated flange when switching out the toilet. They were able to have someone out the next day to repair and update it. Sean was incredibly helpful and explained everything needed with the repair. In my opinion, he went way above and beyond what was necessary.

Repairman was very knowledgeable and recommended replacing the toilet since the one we had was builder-grade and would continue to clog. I have a peace of mind that we will be trouble free moving forward.

He arrived on time. He gave me three options for a new garbage disposal and described the differences between the three. He installed the new garbage disposal.

John Benton came the Tuesday after Labor Day Weekend and assessed the situation as a broken drain pipe from the sink, dishwasher and disposal. John showed me and explained the problem and what needed to be done. He gave me information via email as to what needed to be done and the cost. I thought it was a little high but I have no idea how much plumbing repair costs and so I assume it was fair. He and Cameron came the following Monday and made the needed repairs. They were neat, clean, thorough and very helpful. John also said I needed a new disposal so that was installed as well. Before they left, they asked if there was anything else they could help me with and Cameron fixed a vertical blind for me. They both were very helpful and pleasant. I would certainly use Sutherland again.

John B. did an awesome job. It looks so nice under the sink now and everything drains so well now. I can't believe we waited so long to fix this. He went above and beyond to fix everything and assure that we wouldn't have anything backing up into the dishwasher and if the sink ever did get clogged there is now a easy way to access it. He looked at our water heater and sent me an estimate for a replacement as well since that is something we will have to do in the near future.

Sutherland plumbing did an excellent job. They were higher than other bids, but I liked the mission statement on their website. They provided excellent service, a ten year warranty (over the normal 6 year at no extra cost), higher strength earthquake strapping, an expansion tank (as a best practice), an inline temperature gauge, and new piping. All in all, the added items narrowed the cost gap between them and other vendors. In the end, I am very glad I selected them, and would do so again. A shout out to John and Cameron for their excellent work and professionalism.

After some discussion over text, Sutherland Plumbing was able to schedule someone to come out relatively quickly. It ended up that there was no power to the unit. After some investigation, we found the issue and got a temp fix until an electrician can be called. No charge. I know where I'll be going to replace the water heater when it really does die, or any other plumbing issues. Thanks.

The technician, John Benton, arrived on time and was able to quickly identify the problem. The angle stop leaked when I used hot water. He had a replacement part on his truck and was able to replace it in 30 minutes or less. John has taken care of a few other plumbing problems I had in the past. He's always prompt and friendly and asks if there's any other plumbing issues that need attention. He noticed a problem with the door knob and dead bolt lock on my front door and took the initiative to fix that for me! I have been satisfied with the professionalism and service of the Sutherland Plumbing technicians and highly recommend them.

Plumber showed up on time, was very professional and clean.

It took 2 plumbers about 4 hours to complete the tasks for $1,118 including parts and labor. The reason I only gave them a "B" overall rating is because they won't guarantee their work since my water pressure is 100psi and they only guarantee up to 80psi, reasonable, BUT he only took the pressure measurement AFTER the work was done, NOT before they started, so I was stuck with unguaranteed work, unless I spent another $1,000+ for them to install a pressure regulator etc. Perhaps another company wouldn't mind the 100psi, I don't know.

We have had the opportunity to have Sutherland Plumbing work on our home a number of times over the past 5 years. We live in a 70's split level with plenty of aging fixtures and places for leaks to develop however Ti, John, Sean (and Cameron!) have always given us excellent, thoughtful advice about what's worth fixing and what should be replaced. They are exceptional in their communication and customer service, so very pleasant to work with and budget conscious. Our first experience with Sutherland was as a 2nd opinion - We had another plumbing company wanting to charge us $5000+ to jackhammer our foundation, dig up our front yard and replace a pipe to the house because they claimed to have diagnosed a leak - Sutherland came out, checked things out, pinpointed the problem as a minor sprinkler system leak and saved us an enormous amount of money. Highly recommend - these guys are fair, honest and outstanding plumbers!!

The plumber was prompt and courteous, but once the issue was confirmed, launched into a lengthy lecture about why the cost would be high before even TELLING me the price. In my opinion it was very inappropriate. I know he was probably trying to head off complaints, but it's not a good customer service practice. I interrupted him and explained I didn't need an explanation of WHY it's going to cost so much. I know I am paying for expertise and assurance in case something goes wrong. I know that many people probably ***** a lot about the cost but I didn't appreciate a lecture prior to getting a bid. Give me a price and let me make up my OWN mind. The repair was completed and works well; I installed my new kitchen faucet later that day.

Our hot water heater was leaking and failing (12+ years old) so we decided it was time for a new one. I can't comment much on the price because I didn't shop around but I feel fine paying what we did because of the timeliness, professional attitude, and quality in which the work was completed. Our plumber (unfortunately I can't remember his name) texted me when he was on his way - which was right on time and they completed the replacement of my gas water heater in just a few hours. The line to our outdoor water spicket was also faulty so they replaced that while they were here as well. They explained each step to me and we went over the new set up when they finished. All around great experience!

Sean and Cameron called to tell me when they would be here. There was a flat fee for fixing my shower. They gave me a bid on another leak and fixed a clogged drain. The entire they explained how they were fixing things.
