We have a 60's-era split level on a hill. A small crack developed in our garage wall running from the corner of a window to the floor. This winter, we noticed some water leaking onto the floor after a heavy rainstorm. I never had to deal with a problem like this before, so like anyone, I turned to Google. The best advice I found recommended having a structural engineer check the problem before getting a repair estimate. One of our neighbors recommended Summit and Julie, one of their principals, was able to come out the next day. She took nearly a half hour to do a very thorough study, taking measurements and photos inside and out. She came back with a comprehensive, detailed written report in less than a week. As it turned out, this crack was structurally a minor issue and something we can probably seal ourselves when the ground dries out this summer. However, she pointed out some drainage issues that are bringing a flow of water uncomfortably close to our foundation. She recommended that we get these remedied fairly soon. Julie was responsive, extremely professional and a clear and concise communicator. She is very familiar with the area and the kind of issues that are often seen here. I should say that this represents a fairly small job for Summit. Their resume includes very large residential and commercial structures.
