I bought a groupon and as soon as I opened up the door to greet the housecleaners, I was wishing I had not bought the groupon. One of the cleaners was a middle-aged lady and the other was a teenage boy who reeked of cigarette smoke. I think my jaw dropped when I realized he was coming in to my house to clean. The lady wanted to use a dirty old-style mop to clean my wood floors (which I said no and handed her my swiffer mop) otherwise, I felt it absolutely necessary to keep a close eye on the boy who was sent to clean bathrooms. No surprise, he had NO IDEA how to clean a bathroom. I got them out of the house as soon as their time was up and planned to complain to the company until I realized (via the internet) that the owner of the company was the lady who had come to clean my house! Horrible experience! I am surprised this company is still in business.

I used them on two occasions since we had a Groupon. They had two ladies come for an hour and a half each. One of them did a really good job and the other overlooked some things I had specifically asked for. It was a little difficult to schedule them the second time. The second time another lady came out and she did an excellent job. They were prompt and the prices were fair.

Purchased a groupon for their services. Have left 4 messages now. NOTHING. I'll probably be calling Groupon and asking for a refund

I purchased a Groupon for "Three Hours of House Cleaning from Spectrum Home Services" to help me with cleaning a rental upon moving out. Luckily, I got the date wrong - I was one day early - and called to find out where the cleaner was. By the time my call was returned I had realized my mistake. While explaining my error to the franchise president, she told me it was a good thing I had called because she had not added me to the schedule even though I had previously made an appointment with her. The president arrived with one other person on cleaning day and I had them start on the bathrooms. Then to prepare the house for the carpet cleaner, I had her vacuum. I was busy cleaning myself so I wasn't able to monitor the work/progress. After they left, the carpet guy told me I should check out one of the bathrooms because being a landlord himself, he would not be satisfied with the cleaning. I checked it out and was stunned to see that the cabinets had not been wiped down and the floors not touched. The shower pan - especially the part outside the shower - didn't appear to have been cleaned at all and the water spots on the shower doors were as plentiful as they were prior to the cleaning. I also noticed a lot of cleaning product residue on fixtures in two of the bathrooms and dust on the top of one of the tub fixtures. The mirror in one bathroom had streaks near the top which appeared to reflect the reach of the person who cleaned it. There were whiskers in one of the sinks. I called the cleaner/president back and left a message describing some of the problems I noticed and said I was not satisfied with the job. She called back later but I missed the call and no message was left. The rental agency sent a written report of the initial property-walk-through results, specifically noting problems with two of the bathrooms Spectrum had cleaned. The rental agency gave me the option to re-clean the problem areas or be charged for a professional to do it.
