Description of Work: I had a mole in my backyard and it became anoyance with mole hills, piles of dirt poping up. I called Raven and he came out, setting traps and came back a couple of days later to check on traps and sure enough, there's a dead mole in one of them.

Description of Work: Marty at Raven was our first call for this job. Our roof is a good 2.5 stories above the ground level at the back. Marty called right away that he didn't have the ladders tall enough to handle this job. He answered his messages quickly and evaluated our yard/job ahead of schedule. Although he entered a "no-bid", his assessment of our situation was spot-on. Having a simple 1 or 2 story house, I'd certainly consider Raven.

Description of Work: I had observed a Douglas (Pine) squirrel taking pine cones into my house's crawl space through a gap in the ventilation screen and the building. I attempted to close this gap with coarse steel wool and duct tape. The critter chewed this barrier open. I called Raven to help me. Marty put on a stronger barrier. When I checked the barrier a few days later, it looked like the critter had attempted to enter to no avail. During his visit, Marty saw another crawl space vent that had gaps, which he said was an invitation for trouble. He blocked the gaps w/expanding foam barrier. When I called to report that the squirrel had unsuccessfully attempted entrance to the first site, he asked if I had heard any noises that would indicate that the squirrel was trapped in the crawl space. I reported that I hadn't heard any animal noise. Marty came by while I was at work and inspected the barrier and trimmed the foam to be flat against the building. Marty is knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I would recommend him without reservation!!

Description of Work: Asked them to come out and take a look at the mole problem. The person I spoke to said he would be coming out later in the week. I didn't get any report from him so I called to follow up and asked them to call me back, but no one called. If it was the case that they couldn't make it or didn't want to do it, they could have at least told me so.

 + -1 moreMarty was great. I thought I had squirrels in my attic. I called Raven Pest Control and Marty came out within a couple of hours. He had me describe what I had heard and asked some questions. He inspected the attic and around the house, but could not find where they were coming in. He asked if it was possible that what I heard was on the roof. I didn't think so, so Marty asked some more questions and gave me some information on the tendencies of squirrels and other critters that get in attics. Nothing seemed to fit my situation. We talked it over and decided to wait and see what happened. If I was sure they were up there, he said he would be glad to come back. I didn't hear anything for almost a week, then when I did I ran out side and sure enough it was a bunch of black birds making a "ruckess" on the roof!
Description of Work: Inspected attic and around house for possible entrance places for critters.

 + -1 moreA few days later, I heard a commotion from the attic and on checking found the a squirrel ensnared in the trap. It was quite unhappy and growled. Did not know that squirrels could growl. Called Raven and somebody came over the same day and took the animal away. They take the squirrels across the river and release them into the wild. I thought I was done with my pest problem. However a few days later I heard rustling and scratching coming from the attic. I thought a squirrel had entered again. Called Raven and they brought over another trap. A few days later I checked the trap and found a squirrel. But this one was dead. Apparently it got trapped in the attic when the entrance was sealed off and went into the trap to eat and had no strength left to rattle the cage otherwise I'd have heard it. Raven came by and took the trap and carcass away. I've had no more squirrel problems since.
Description of Work: A squirrel decided to squat in my attic. Called Raven. Marty brought a squirrel trap and placed it in the attic. Walked around my house and identified the area of my roof where the critters had gained access. He closed off the opening. Told me that they would provide me with one month of service to ensure that they fixed the problem.

 + -1 moreSomehow a cat got trapped in our crawlspace. We were able to get the cat out, but wanted to make sure there were no other critters living down there. Raven Pest Management called as back and was able to have someone come a look before the end of the day. He determined there were no other critter and replaced the screens around the crawlspace to prevent more from getting down there. He explained what he would need to do to fix the cat destroyed down there (vapor barrier and insulation) and gave an estimate.
Description of Work: Replaced the screens on the vents to the crawlspace. Gave an estimate on correcting damage created by a cat in the crawlspace.

Since he couldn't find a point of entry, in which case he would have charged a flat fee for eliminating the pest, he planned to charge us $65 per squirrel. He seemed knowledgeable and honest. He arrived a few minutes late, but called ahead to let us know.
Description of Work: We heard noises in the attic and called Martin. He checked the attic, roof, and crawl space for evidence of animals and for entry areas. He didn't find anything, but set two squirrel traps in the attic. The noises ended, but no animal was trapped and the bait was not eaten by any other animal. Martin returned a week later to pick up the traps.

 + -1 moreThe moles were driving us crazy. They came out, charged us a one time per six month fee and the first mole was free. They set their traps and came back a couple of weeks later to check them. There has only been one time they didn't get a mole! It is so worth it. I had been trying without success for years. It doesn't matter how big your place is. After the first one, they charge by the mole. They have come out within a couple of days of my call. Very nice, considerate, professional, talented people. Honest.

 + 0 moreVery well, It was difficult to find someone who would do squirrel removal. We tried several pest control companies and Raven was the only one that would assist. They solved the problem simply and effectively.
Description of Work: We had squirrels that had created a nest in the top of a high (25ft) column. Raven blocked the opening with wire mesh.

 + -1 moreMarty came out to my house the very day that I called and he did a great job. He showed up when he told me he would and completed the work quickly. All the yellow jacks using that nest died within 24 hours. When I noticed other yellow jacks around our bug catcher, I called Marty back out to check things over. He came and did another walk around and we discovered that they were not from the nest on my property. He didn't even seem bothered that he had to drive back out to my place again.
Description of Work: I had yellow jacks making a nest under my house. They were using a hole in my foundation. They were becoming aggressive and had already stung TWO of my family members. Marty came out and covered the entry hole with a chemical dust.

 + -1 moreTHEY GOT OUT QUICKLY WHEN WE CALLED THEM AND TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM. I WAS SATISFIED. WE LOOKED AROUND, AND THEIR PRICE WAS PRETTY AVERAGE, AND WE WERE OKAY WITH THAT. THEY TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM, SO WE WERE PRETTY HAPPY. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR RESPONSIVENESS. THEIR PUNCTUALITY WAS VERY GOOD. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB.
