Prime Roofing

Excellent work, new plywood, flashing and ice guards were all installed perfectly. The roof looks great and the workers were professional. Other contractors have commented on how professional the roof was installed.

Mr. Anthony was easy to contact, put the roof on as soon as possible when the rain quit, and as far as we know, his team did an excellent job. The new roof looks great. We were not aware that the roof had been leaking for a while so a number of the plywood boards supporting the roof had to be replaced. So it cost more than we had hoped but is expected to last longer than the old roof. He also rebuilt the deck roof and it looks great as well.

Provider had excellent service from the beginning of the project when they explained the entire process to the end when they left our property immaculate and with a beautiful roof. Provider was the most professional contractor I have ever worked with and communication was excellent. The roof was put on when the cold,snow and ice made its appearance and I was completely confident that all would go well. It all went perfectly despite the horrible working conditions the provider had to deal with. They remained positive throughout. The employees that did all the work were very professional, kind, thoughtful and tidy. They cleaned up daily and their work was top notch! I would recommend them to anyone!

Fit me in during a dry period in the rainy season even though they had another larger job going, which I appreciated a great deal. Even came over and covered my roof leak with plastic until weather cleared enough to do the job. Their rep was exceptional to work with. They would be the 1st ones I would call if I needed another roof.

Everything went very smoothly and professionally from start to finish. An excellent company to work with, and my roof looks great.

The whole process went very smooth. Prime Roofing was the 4th company we contacted. One company told us that our roof was shot and needing replacing immediately, without even going on the roof. Another company told us we could get another 15 years out of the roof and would follow up with us but never did (actually cancelled two appointments). And the last company came out, told us it would be really expensive for us and that they were booked for months. So I didn't have great expectations going in. When Greg came out to the house, he was very thorough and honest. He spent as much time as it took to explain the process, the products, and answer any questions. He had no problem on the initial visit doing a border inspection of the cedar shake roof we had and giving us all the options we had. He left us pamphlets of all the products he recommended and followed up within a day or two with estimated costs of the job. Once we decided what we wanted to do, he gave us a good timeframe of when the job could start and would be finished. The actual process of the removal and installation of the roof was smooth as well. The crew was hardworking and respected our property and family. The job took about 10-12 days if i can remember correctly. We had a couple of unexpected issues (rotten eve boards) that Greg contacted me right away with options and costs to fix/replace. The crew cleaned up very well, with no signs of the teardown mess. Once the job was complete I asked Greg to come out for a walk through and he did with no problem. He answered a couple of questions I had. All in all we are very happy with our roof. It looks great and will last us for a very long time! I will say that Prime Roofing was not the cheapest estimate that we received, yet their estimate was what we paid. I had a feeling that some of the estimates we received were going to be significantly more due to them not even getting on the roof or doing any kind of inspection. We would recommend Greg and Prime Roofing to anyone looking for a quality roof from a quality company.

THE PROJECT WENT WELL, THE CREW WAS NOT ONLY SKILLED, BUT POLITE, CLEANED UP AFTER THEM SELVES NIGHTLY. I HAVE SOME PLANTS CLOSE TO MY HOUSE, WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN DAMAGED IN THE PROCESS BUT WEREN'T. YOU COULD TELL THEY MADE AN EFFORT TO BE CAREFUL WHEN CLOSE TO THE HOUSE. GREG KEPT ME INFORMED THROUGH THE WHOLE PROJECT SO I KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT. HE OFFERED CHOICES WHEN POSSIBLE, WHICH I APPRECIATED. GREG WAS ALSO QUITE INVOLVED WITH THE PROJECT UNLIKE SOME CONTRACTORS WHO WOULD "HAND OFF" THE MANAGEMENT TO AN EMPLOYEE. HE CHECKED WITH THE CREW OFTEN AND EVEN WORKED ON THE ROOF HIMSELF. I ALSO FOUND HIM EASY TO WORK WITH AND HE WAS ALSO HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL IN THE ESTIMATING AND CONTRACT AGREEMENT. IT WAS ALL VERY CLEAR. THEY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. THE ENTIRE HOUSE LOOKS MUCH MUCH BETTER! I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO RECOMMEND PRIME ROOFING!

From the time of the first interview, I was very impressed with Greg's attention to detail. He has the highest level certification from Certainteed, and he talked about how he plans the installation so that the seams will all match and about making sure the ventilation will be adequate. He is the only roofer (of five interviewed) who noted the black (mold?) spots on some of the attic plywood. He is also the only roofer we interviewed who wasn't willing to replace the fallen chimney pipe that had started our re-roofing odyssey. He suspected there might be an undiagnosed problem that had caused the failure. As it turned out, he was correct, and merely replacing it would have resulted in another failure. (We hired Bull Mountain mechanical for that job.) In addition, he (unlike the others) provided a list of jobs he had done so we could see his work and see the products in place. After choosing his bid, which was on the low end (if not the lowest) of the bids we received, he met with us again to discuss products and colors. He made a special trip to pick up and deliver sample boards so we could compare the colors we were considering in a large enough format to be able to make an informed choice. He kept us well-informed about deliveries, start dates, and an unexpected problem (not under his control) that came up with the job before ours that interfered with the original schedule. The job itself went as discussed. His crew made sure the roof would be weather-tight before leaving every day, regardless of the forecast, and they also tidied up any mess before they left. Greg checked in with me by email and in person multiiple times over the course of the job to answer any questions and to get pre-approval for repairing the small number of unexpected problems. He solved the ventilation issues with a minimum of disruption (and expense). He also left us with the unused material so that if we did have a tree fall on the roof (for example), we would be able to match what we had exactly. The new roof (finished the day I write this) looks very good, even to my cedar-loving eyes. My neighbors have expressed their admiration. Given that putting on a new roof is an time-consuming, expensive, noisy process, my positive feelings about our experience are a real credit to Greg and his crew.

Greg and his crew were fantastic to work with & I have already recommended him to others. His attention to detail was outstanding. I interviewed 6 different roofers and he stood far and above all the rest. He worked with our budget and was up front on all possible problems with the job so there were no surprises. He came by 2-3 times a day to check on both his crew and see if there were any concerns with the job being done. The guys made sure that they thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day and took special care to protect our shrubs & flowers. We have a little dog and they made sure that our gates were closed and checked with me when they would need to be in the backyard so I could put her on a leash or bring her in. The finished roof is beautiful and all our neighbors agree. In fact, one neighbor has already called them to do her roof after seeing them at work. Greg came back a couple of times after the job to check on the finished job with same attention to detail see if we had any concerns. His desire to make sure we were happy with his job was refreshing. I would recommend Greg to anyone. Put him on your list of contractors to interview for your project. You won't be sorry.

The original bid was for $8100 that included tare off, new roof, replace skylights, and add additional ventilation. 23 sheets of OSB had to be replaced due to mold, skylights had to re-framed, and ventilation in addition to what was originally planned had to added. This drove the cost to 10k, but I feel that I got a professional job that will last a long time.

I called Prime Roofing because of the stellar Angie?s list rating along will several other roofing companies that had good reviews. Greg at Prime Roofing was by far the most professional of the four that gave us bids, but I feared that the bid would be more than the other companies. However it came in very competitively and I was confident we were getting the best job for the money. The job was completed ahead of schedule with no hitches. All the workers were polite, highly skilled and extremely hard working. Greg checked in daily through the process and always responded promptly to my questions. He promised us beforehand that he took great pride in providing customer service and we couldn?t be happier with the result.

Initially we met Greg when we got his name from Angie's list several years ago to fix our leaking roof. He came that day and fixed the leak (squirrel damage). We never had a problem in that area again. He quoted a price to re-roof our home. We took a very long time from our initial contact with Greg to actually signing a contract with Prime Roofing. We would call him for updated prices and discuss materials many times during that two year period. Greg was always patient and professional with our many calls. His price was very reasonable and we felt good about choosing him due to his advanced credentials with the roofing materials companies.

From start to finish it was a smooth process. I was provided with adequate information during bidding, follow-up on questions was prompt, the crew was hardworking, neat, and they were craftsmen. I was kept informed on problems so we could make prompt decisions including cost compromises. Materials arrived when expected and clean-up afterward was complete and thorough. I had decided to replace one skylight with an opening type. I thought it would be difficult to find an exact replacement due to the irregular size but the contractor found a standard unit. Fitting the new skylights over existing sheetrock lightshafts was tricky, requiring some precision trimming and it went well. Considering the roof was replaced in the middle of February in western Oregon amidst periodic rain, the process was virtually seamless. Overall, it was a 2 week process. I went with this contractor despite their slightly higher bid based on ratings, inspecting other jobs they did, the amount of work completed in the area, and the impression during the bidding/interview process.

We are very happy with the service. The material and workmanship were of high quality. The contractor was very easy to work with.

They were great. The owner kept in touch with me on a daily basis. The roof was older and it did cause some water damage. He sent pictures of things that needed repaired throughout the job.

. Ours is 1938 home that is undergoing extensive remodeling and additions. Roofing was an important part of the overall project. Before selecting a roofing company I did extensive research and talked with several of Angie's A-List Players. All were professional in their assessments and proposals but one stood out...Greg Anthony and Prime Roofing. He went above and beyond inspecting and analyzing the project before submitting a proposal and getting the contract. His quotation was very detailed and most important...competitive. He made the selection process easy. The roofing project itself was full of surprises and challenges from the beginning. The existing roof had an old layer of cedar shingles with no sheathing or underlayment. Over that was a 2nd layer of comp roof. Tear-off itself could have been a disaster but Greg took extreme measures to protect landscaping, a koi pond and our exterior cedar siding. The tear off exposed a multitude of structural problems and more challenges. A number of area showed extreme rotting of rafters that he replaced. Existing flashing around several skylights was not performing and were replaced with custom flashing that will last and perform as they should. Yes, these surprises, challenges and additional work cost more than his original bid, but never during this project did I feel taken advantage of. To the contrary, I felt Greg went above and beyond to make things right. Since we were away from our home during this phase of the remodel, I especially appreciated his almost daily emails with photo attachments showing problems that needed addressing, corrective actions being taken and progress being made. The project was completed in a timely manner and the property left spotless. The end result is a new roof with Presidential Tl architectural shingles that looks spectacular. In summary, I could not have been more pleased with the completed job, with Greg Anthony, and the employees of Prime Roofing. They were exceptional in every detail. I highly recommend them.

Working with Greg was great. He put together a package that met our needs and our budget. His crew was prompt and professional.They worked long hard hours and cleaned up at the end of the day. Greg personally came by every day to be sure things were progressing well. The new roof it beautiful!

Greg Anthony gave us the estimate, explaining in detail exactly what to expect. We hired him and when the weather finally cleared up and was forecast to be good, a dumpster was unloaded onto our drive way and his workers came out and began the arduous task of taking off the old roof. This took 4-5 days

Everything went as scheduled despite some bad weather.

Greg Anthony came out to our house and conducted a complete roof inspection. After the inspection he set up a time to meet with my husband to go over the estimate. My husband was very impressed because Greg was very professional. He also brought a portfolio of other roofs that he had completed in the past. My husband did shop around with other roofing companies, but decided to move forward with Prime Roofing. He was very impressed with Greg and felt that his estimate was reasonable. Even though there were a couple of days it rained, Greg always kept us informed and the roof was replaced in a good time frame. We were very pleased with the results. Our new roof makes our house look brand new! ;) I would highly recommend Prime Roofing to anyone!

Greg Anthony came out at our scheduled time and did a complete roof inspection and several days later I received his estimate. Greg verified what I already had known about the roof condition. I felt the estimate was reasonable and felt comfortable with his knowledge and expertise at tear downs and the roof foundation repairs needed. Although rain was a problem at times, the roof replacement went along at a good speed and I was very happy with the results. It is now almost a year later and I have had no problems with the roof and it still looks great. I would highly recommend Prime Roofing to anyone that needs a new roof.

I'll just add that the people always make a big difference. There were a lot of problems on my roof, and Prime Roofing wanted to do their best by me. Greg spent a lot of time on my roof making sure that everything was just right, and his workers were great. They were so cheerful and had an amazing work ethic; they understood that things needed to be cleaned up right away and even paid attention to the neighbors' property so I would get no complaints. I did not lose any plants, which is amazing! I have total confidence in my roof now, which is a great feeling!

Greg Anthony is a member of local BMW club with me and I noticed that he is in the roofing business. I contacted him to come out and look at the roof. I was very clear with him at that point on what I needed done and that I didnt expect pricing at that point. He did indicate that he was interested in the job and I let him know I would get a hold of him in a few months. When the time came it was very difficult to get a hold of him. We did have a few short conversations and he said he would come up with pricing. Three weeks ago I pressed him a little harder to get prices from him. Tuesday of the week of the 17th we did talk on the phone and he indicated again that he was going to work on the pricing and send me an email. I did get an email from him that day stating that he was having internal conflicts and that he would only be comftorable with the project if I did not do the entire roof removal like we originally spoke about. If I wanted the roof removed he would not be interested. I spoke with him again and when I asked for his definition of his internal conflicts he said that his crew is not trained to do flat work and that means he would have to do it himself. I take it as his crew is not trained and he does not want to stop do the job. I wasted probably 5 or 6 hours dealing with him and he never even bidded on the job. I think this is important because he did not act professionaly at the end of this process. I think this speaks to Greg's lack of preparedness for the job and what little consideration he gave to it.

Great. Greg was out promptly with an estimate and was able to begin work within a month. His crew was extremely diligent and did an excellent job with daily clean-up. We were very satisfied with how the job went.

It went very well. I had a lot of questions about the job and Greg Anthony never tired of answering them all. He showed up at least once a day to check on his crew as well as to answer more questions. The crew was very courteous and polite. They also cleaned up after themselves very well. It did not bothered them that I watched what they were doing for the entire job. Greg is a true professional and will not settle for less than an excellent job. I highly recommend Prime Roofing.
