Description of Work: I have two gas fireplaces at my home, one and insert, and one free-standing. Phil's' cleaned both, adjusted the flame on each and blacked the backs. He was efficient, pleasant and prompt. I would certainly recommend him, and plan to use him for annual service.

Description of Work: I asked him to clean the gas tube in the fire place and replace the logs. He took the gas key and cranked it so hard that he broke it. Then he had to crawl under the house and put a shut off valve where he had broken the On/Zeffirelli key mechanism. He told me he woul need to order a new one. Over two wks later he showed up with a new on/off switch that didn't work or fit unclear. When he returned with the next assemblel he crawled under the house and installed it so that it was not level with the floor. After several try's and with my help he got to installed level to the floor. However now the on/off gass level control key is very hard to turn and it never feels like it is completely off. Or when you turn the gass on it makes a big swoosh sound and then I have to turn it down. Recently I am getting a slite gass odor when the fire place is on. Needles to say I decided to go to NW natural and get the logs and install them myself. I will be calling the a NWNat. About the gas smell.

Description of Work: It went great. I moved into a house that had a gas fireplace. I had no experience with it. The serviceman explained the process & how it worked as he cleaned & texted the fireplace. I don't remember the exact date but it was in the fall of 2014. I thought I had already wrote a review but guess not. I would use them again, but read that they lost their certification.

I was delighted, because the other places I had contacted told me I'd have to wait 4 - 6 weeks for service. I am so happy that my fireplace is not only working, but looking like new, for Christmas. He took pains to make everything look just right. Do yourself a favor - just call Phil. He's prompt, professional, pleasant and really does an outstanding job. I have already recommended him to a family member and a friend who want to have gas inserts installed - he does that work, too. And another plus - he guarantees his work for a year. Phil gets two big thumbs up from me!
Description of Work: Phil fixed a problem which was causing my fireplace not to turn on when I switched it on. He also totally cleaned the fireplace and left it looking like new.

+ -1 morePhil called me immediately upon receiving my service request email through Angie's List. He said he would check on the price of both new and refurbished fireplace fans and call me back. He called back within a few hours with cost and set an appt. Phil showed up on time and was well prepared to complete the job. He removed his shoes and used a drop cloth while replacing the fan and cleaning the entire unit. I was very happy with his work and glad to have my fireplace functioning properly again!

The weather has been so cold and he made sure I wasn't without my main source of heat. He cleaned it all up and made it look new. He even gave it a fresh coat of paint! He by far exceeded my expectations. I will be telling my friends and family about him. :)w

He was very knowledgeable and was able to explain everything he did in plain English. He did an excellent job and I would recommend Phil's Fireplace to anyone. ;)
Description of Work: Phil was very thorough in cleaning and servicing my gas fireplace. I hadn't had my fireplace cleaned in a couple of years. He was able to get my fireplace working simply by cleaning my pilot light. He made my fireplace look better than I have ever seen it. He put new embers around the logs to make my fireplace look natural.
