Description of Work: He cleaned all components in the fireplace, took apart the pieces and thoroughly cleaned the class. We needed a part which he ordered and it was inserted prompted. Very professional gentleman ... we would definitely use his services again.

Description of Work: The very basic minimal cleaning of the fireplace and replacement of the logs in the Gas Fireplace. The follow up that was promised never materialized.

Description of Work: Phil did a great job but it was not simple. The fireplace was turning itself on and off at random intervals. Initially, Phil found a bad internal connection and replaced the parts and all seemed fine for a day or so. Since there was nothing else obvious, Phil came back a 2nd time and rechecked some of the electrical connections but nothing seemed wrong so the logical culprit was thought by both of us to be the hand control. When the batteries were removed the problem went away for a few days. Instead of the remote control, I used the external mounted switch and all seem well...until I happened to wiggle the switch which suddenly turned the fireplace on and off without having to be actually switched. So the scenario turned out to be, a bad switch that formed a connection when hot and broke the connection when cold. Phil happily came back out to the house a 3rd time, replaced the external switch, at no extra charge, and all has been well since. I will certainly use his service in the future - his word is his bond and when he says he will honor his warranty, he really means it.

Description of Work: What a great service provider! Phil was very detail oriented when it came to cleaning and servicing my 20 year old gas fireplace. He did a thorough cleaning, getting the stains off the glass, repainted the box and log stand ( which had quite a bit of rust), replaced all the ember material with new embers and rearranged the logs. It looks like a new fireplace! He really loves what he does and explained how everything works. He was very careful to cover the carpet with tarps.

Description of Work: I purchased a condo in Tigard with a gas fireplace. The unit had been empty for quite some time & pretty neglected. I doubt if the fireplace had been looked at or even turned on in awhile. Phil came and checked it out, cleaned it up and taught me the ins & outs. He's very personable & seems to know his stuff.
