I have used Pedro & Kim's Upholstery both personally and through my business. Our business is in the furniture industry and with my experience it doesn't get much better than the skill and detail Pedro gives to his work. Any orders through our business that arrive incorrect are easily fixed by Pedro and any customer we have who needs reupholstering work we send his way. I have also personally had him do automobile repairs on my upholstery and my home furniture upholstery. He has never let me down. He is knowledgeable, very skilled and competitive with pricing. I will continue to recommend him to all!

I had three bar stools and a motor scooter seat recovered in leather. The latter was the more challenging job but they both came out beautiful, and I am particularly critical of all the details and workmanship of a project. Pedro was very customer oriented and obviously a talented craftsman. The job did take longer than he said it would but I don't consider that a criticism since he did not rush it and the results show it.

I moved to Oregon end of February. The next week I went to Pedro and Kim's with a photo of a chair that needed a lot of help. Pedro is delightful to work with. He patiently guided me through choosing a fabric. Then he gave me an estimate. I told him there was no hurry. Mid-May I gave him a call. He was very glad I did because he had lost my contact information. He called twice to check in on how the chair should look at the end. The chair arrived toward the end of June. The fabric is wonderful. I'm very stringent in my requirements, so there were a couple of details that disappointed. One, it looks as though two different people upholstered the arms so they do not match visually. The chair does not look like the original design. The arms are more thinly padded especially in the front and toward the top so it looks 50's sleek instead of comfy almost over-stuffed. A design detail I would have preferred to keep. The line of the seat cushion shows the original form of the upholstery stuffing on the arms. Because the arms have less stuffing, there is a gap between the seat cushion and the arms. Nobody but me would notice these differences because I have known this chair in my family since the mid-fifties. In addition, the pleats on the skirt in the front are placed to the side instead of in the front so there is a tight look to the skirt across the front instead of noticeable perky pleats about three inches in. This, too, makes the chair look different from the original design. The work itself is done well. But I miss the design and quot;feeland quot; of the original. Recommendation, leave photos of the original piece as a reference.

I worked specifically with Pedro and he is just very responsive, genuinely caring and pays attention to details. I really like working with him. I have two long couches is the living room and he recovered those for me and rebuilt new cushions in them.

We purchased our own fabric and delivered our furniture and fabric to Pedro. Pedro helped us decide how to lay the fabric (ie, whether or not to railroad the fabric) for best effect. I was particularly displeased with the way hog rings were used in the original sofabed upholstery because they caught my fingers with the pointed ends when I vacuumed between and behind the sofa cushions. Pedro said he would take a different, and better approach. He pointed out options for the sofabed in terms of finish and we discussed the benefits of the different choices. He understood why one of the chairs had a large dip in the seat and explained the solution. Pedro was very happy to show us his workshop when I asked if we could see where the work is done, and he introduced us to Jorge, his work partner. After talking with Pedro, we discovered that he owns this business, having taken over for Kim about 12 or so years ago. We were happy to learn that Pedro worked with Kim for a long time and that this was this is the same business, moved from Tigard, where we had taken so many other pieces over the years. We asked to have the work finished in time for us to reinstall the furniture in our motorhome for a trip we were planning to take to the coast. That gave Pedro about three weeks to get the job completed. He finished up a couple of days ahead of the target date. When we went to pick up the furniture, Pedro showed us how he made the improvements, as he had promised, in the covering technique on the sofabed. Everything looked wonderful and feels so much more securely constructed. Pedro was very careful helping us load the furniture into our vehicle.

Everything was fine. Complimentary pick-up and delivery would be nice.

They explained the entire process, didn't try to oversell and gave us a list of pro's and con's. They saved us money and we were very happy with their customer service.

The quality of the work is very good and I got exactly what I expected and am very happy with the results.

It was a very good experience. They were very responsive. He completed what we requested. The chairs look very nice. I would recommend their services.

He answers the phone right away -- unlike all the other upholsterers I called. He comes promptly at the time he says and gives an exact estimate. He picks up the furniture and fabric and does the work in a reasonable amount of time (bout two weeks). He delivers the work and moves the furniture around until you get it in the right place. The work is impeccable--really well done. The furniture looks new. He is pleasant and helpful and a very nice person. I wish I had more to upholster! It's like the furniture is reborn. I'd recommend Pedro in a heart beat.

Pedro responded to my request quickly. He was patient and took the time to explain everything that was causing the furniture to fall apart and what he could do to fix it, along with the estimate. His lead time wasn't too long and his estimate was exactly what we paid, with a little added for some arm covers I requested at the last minute. I would definitely do business with Pedro again and have recommended him to several friends and even a furniture showroom. It's obvious he knows his business and I always felt comfortable dealing with him. The only issue I ever had was that sometimes phone messages took a while to receive a response, however, I know this is because his is a small shop and they have a heavy workload. I also liked the fact that Pedro's shop is local so I am putting money into the local economy by supporting this business.

I called over the weekend and left a message for this company. My call was never returned.

Their work was first grade and it was really good. The person whom I dealt with was very personable. It took a little longer than they anticipated.

Business explained what would need to be done and why the cost would be more than I probably had expected it to be. Ultimately, I decided not to have the arms recovered but the experience was a very positive one for me.

I took photos of the items to be reupholstered to the shop and Pedro showed me possible fabrics. He was very knowledgeable about the merits of each. I chose two on the basis of his recommendations and the results came out exactly as I had hoped. Pedro offered to pick up the items at my home, but it was an easy matter for me to deliver them there. The work showed care and skilled craftsmanship. It was worth every penny. It took a little bit longer to get the job done than estimated, but that was a very small concern. I highly recommend this shop.

Cushions look like new, and the sofa is a joy to sit on again.

I recommend this company. Someday I will need to re-upholster a sofa, and I hope Pedro's company can do the job. From a small photo of my sofa, Pedro was able to create a foam and batting combination that kept the back cushions from sagging (this had been a constant problem since we bought the sofa). The sofa now looks better than it did when it was new 12 years ago!!

Pedro and his staff were very professional. They were timely on the pick up and delivery of the furniture. They kept me informed every step of the way so that I could make decisions regarding my tight budget in this very large, expensive project. I had upholstered this sofa and chair 20 years ago when I paid $2000 for poorer quality, less extensive work. I am very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend his services

I dropped off 4 dining room chair seats and the new the fabric I'd chosen. Pedro explained how the work would be done and what it would look like when it was finished. He asked me questions about the current comfort of the seats and whether I'd like more cushioning added. He estimated that he could complete the work in about 5 days. When I picked them up he explained everything that he had done. Quality craftsmanship. They look great!

I called and inquired about pricing and then proceeded to the fabric store to purchase fabric. I started out with 2 chairs, dropped off the seating part and the fabric and they had them done within the week. I then dropped off the remaining seat pads and more fabric. They are awesome! Friendly, professional and they did an outstanding job! I plan to have them re-cover both my couch and love seat in the future

They did a good job. The price was reasonable for the job. The job was finished in the estimated time that was given. The workers were professional and they knew what they were doing.

I brought in the stool and needle point to the shop, and was promptly attended to. I was given an estimate and told it could be ready in one week. It was completed on time, and they did a good job of centering the design, matching the lining, and placing the tacks.

Our cushion looks great. It was done the next day. Very friendly. Would recommend them.
