Botched job. Took the money and ran. Don did not listen to what dimensions were required. Used particle board as forms which left wood embedded in concrete in front planter box. Poured a large spa pad which was contracted to be level for spa and 6 inches deep . The day before the pour he said it was 8" which would have put all calculations for the deck and spa out. The morning of the pour he dumped the inner form down 2 inches without adjusting the outer forms. When it set and the forms were off it was 1 and a half inches out from one side to the other and undulating all the way through up and down (so spa would not have been supported). The small retaining walls on the side of the pad sloped inwards and were also wavy at the top to about 2 inches all around (water would have run into the pad). Messy worker. Stressful to have around and keep monitoring. Left holes filled with concrete in front yard after I specifically asked for any excess to be tipped outside Did not take this away. Snapped off the electrical conduit pipe after it had set into the concrete and left a workers gIove in the hole to hide it. (This has to be permitted again.) Consistently late (2 hours every time except for when he came and picked up his tools.) I had paid him in full as a courtesy before checking the work with a level etc. He made no calls were made to me to ask how he could fix his bad workmanship. Had to get the work assessed. Then had to pay another concreter $2000 more to grind back the small walls, and grind out the timber from the concrete planter and resurface the entire pad to be flat.
