Mike's Electric

It went great. There were no problems whatsoever. I would recommend them to others.

It went GREAT! I bought a coupon on Angie's list on a Sunday night - $99 for 2 hours of electrical work. I called them on Monday morning and they said they could come out immediately! WOW. 2 electricians arrived fast and went right to work. They were amazing. They explained everything that needed to be fixed, what was wrong and mistakes that they found in the previous work. I paid for parts, like covers for outlets that didn't have covers. I don't know why they sent 2 guys. Maybe one was training. Both were great, explained everything and were almost too professional. They didn't want the lemonade I had ready for them --- it was a hot day.

Aside from some communication issues between the technician and the office, it went well and I would hire them again.

All was very smooth and efficient and professional..from the initially scheduling, to arrival, to work completion.

Through no fault of Mike's Electric, the electrician found after some time that the correct parts were not available and therefore was not able to complete the intended work. He did install two lights. He was punctual and showed good technical skills.

I called Mike's Electric after checking Angie's List and had an electrician at my home within a day or so to see what I wanted done . After thinking about what we thought was a good plan I changed my mind about the place I wanted the deck light and outlet installed from the left side of the slider to the right side. There was no problem with my decision and the work was scheduled. The two men that did the work were able to use an existing outlet inside to install the light and outlet on the exterior of the home so there was no damage to the interior walls to repair. I am very happy with the way the work was done and how quickly it was completed.

Tom can fix any electrical problem. He's been caring for my house for 15 years. He found the outdoor short, and repaired the outlet and covered it so that the problem would not reoccur.

The electrician arrived on time & explained the problem clearly. Unfortunately what I thought was a thermostat problem turned out to be a broken heater. He told me I could buy the replacement heater myself at Lowe's or he could bring one out. It was cheaper to buy it myself so he told me exactly what to buy. He returned a week later (the delay was due to my schedule, not his) and got the work done quickly.

An energy audit of my house uncovered a potential electrical problem in my basement. I found Mikes on Angie's list and they offered a nice discount via Angie. The electrician came out and saw the problem right away (it was a potential electrocution!) and fixed it up. He also cleaned up some amatuer wiring in my panel, and installed a light fixture. The electrician was very good, showed up on time, worked in a timely manner. I will definitely have them back.

I originally purchased the $99 house inspection, but when I described my problem to Darryl, he realized that what I needed was a deal for the labor since I already knew what the problem was. He gave me a great deal and we scheduled the work. I was impressed by Darryl's immediate email response when I bought the special deal coupon on Angie's List. I was then impressed with their scheduling. Finally I was impressed with Aaron who was on time, methodical and actually fixed the problem another electrician couldn't figure out. He explained everything thoroughly and didn't try to snow me just because I'm female. When Aaron was done in minutes and I had paid for time on the clock, he asked me what else he could do since I had already prepaid the time. I had him do three other small projects and he completed them with no problem as well. I think I have found the electrician I will use from now on. You should use them too!

What a great experience! Aaron was the electrician assigned to the job. He was 10 minutes early, which I really like, and very personable. I walked around the house explaining the things that I needed done, and a couple of extra tasks that I had decided to take care of while I had him there. I am in the process of preparing my parents' house to be sold. Aaron set right to work. I had also scheduled for the furnace to be replaced on the same day. I introduced the trades to one another and told them to play nice. The three contractors set about their work. Aaron had to make some minor changes with the power supply to the furnace. The contractors took care of talking with one another and getting it done. Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The fan in the bathroom has not worked for about four years. Aaron checked and found that it was just the motor that was no longer working. Rather than replace the whole unit; which would have involved making the hole bigger, reventing, etc., he recommended that I replace the motor. He had contacted his supplier and found the motor. This saved me a tremendous amount of time and money. I could not have been happier with the way everything went. I have electrical tasks around my own house that I will have Mike's Electric take care of for me.

The work was professionally done. He arrived early, gave a reasonable estimate of time and price and then finished the job much faster than expected and under his estimated cost.

Two electricians from Mike's Electric came out and installed the new circuit quickly. They immediately saw problem with wiring through ceiling due to raised ceiling area in living room and quickly came up with new plan to go through crawl space. They noticed some minor wiring problems with lighting while in attic and fixed those as well. Done quickly and under budget.

Not only did Mike's respond promptly, but they knew how to deal with the HOA, and handled all of the contractor requirements. They were very good, explained everything they did, gave us options for wiring the lights and installing outlets, and made sure it all worked before they left.

I've used Mike's on 3 houses and each time I contact them they schedule right away, I meet at the house and go over the details of what needs to be done and they get right to work. I look it over when the project is done and have never had any problems with their work.

great job, exactly what I hoped for

I had purchased a Big Deal for electrical work for Mike's through Angie's List and was very pleased with the first experience so when we needed an electrician for the HVAC work, they were the first I called. Quick response, able to get here when we needed, fast, quality work and thorough clean up. Mike's even handled contacting the inspector to come out to inspect the job. All in all great service. Will definitely use them again for electrical work. Really like that they are local too.

Aaron arrived right on time and got to work. He was thorough, inspecting all outlets, smoke alarms, panels and breakers. He discovered errors from when the previous owners of the house were living here, e.g., the wrong wire used as neutral and not labeled. He checked polarities as well. Aaron's demeanor was very professional -- he was kind and patient with my questions, knowledgeable of his subject, and patient with my two sons following him around the house. Little things such as wearing shoe covers before walking upstairs made an impression as well. I would not hesitate to use Mike's Electric in the future, nor hesitate to recommend them to others.

It went terrific overall. A pair of gents showed up at my place right on time and both were easy to talk to. They crawled the attic in both my garage and home, did very thorough inspections of both panels, checked the stove, every light switch, etc. I was very pleased with how thorough they were. Before I choose to move forward with getting the work done I will get a few more bids but I'm really hoping Mike's comes in on point.

Once we decided to go, Mike's crew scheduled and did the job in 5 hours and we are pleased and it looks like the installation will out last us. We have a newer house and do not expect any short term needs - but if the need arises, we will return to Mike's.

I thought I mentioned it above! The work went well as planned and the emplyee (the person who came to fix the problem) was efficient and humble and I had no problem communicating with him.

Tom arrived with a smile on his face that never wavered. He graciously allowed my 5 kids to run around and ask questions and to watch as he worked. It was obvious by his ability and know how that he had extensive experience. He was able to diagnose and isolate a difficult problem, and to find a solution that required almost no damage to existing drywall. A week later, when the lights stopped working in our nursery, Tom returned and fixed the problem, FREE OF CHARGE. He hadn't caused the problem in the nursery, but he was so intent on our satisfaction that he made sure every wire he touched was working to perfection. I will use Mike's Electric for every future electrical issue I have, and will recommend them to my friends.

The inspector did a thorough review of the electrical system in my house including the attic. He noted items that needed attention and explained options on how to deal with them. As a follow up, I got an estimate from Mike's Electric with a detailed explanation for the items listed on the report. I was pleased with the service. I have not followed up on the recommended work at this time.

I hired Mike's Electric to replace an exterior security light at my elderly mom's home. After calling one other company I decided to go with Mike's because they were responsive, less expensive (the other company would have charged us $124; Mike's was $98), and were highly rated on Angie's List. They were available at the time I requested, called the day before to confirm, and called 15 minutes before they arrived. Aaron and Alex did a great job! They were professional, arrived on time, and were very concerned about making sure the lights and motion sensor were adjusted properly before leaving. They even took away the old fixture for recycling. This was a very small job but I never had the feeling that it was less important to them...they worked as hard and were as conscientious as you would expect with a much bigger job. I'd definitely hire them again.
