Mike's Electric

Had some issues with the scheduling do to one of their electricians hurting his back. Told owner that I flew in town just to have this work done and couldn't fly back and this had to be done now with no exceptions. He worked on it and called everyday to update and got it done in a couple of days before I had to leave. This is what I call good customer service and working with the customer to make everybody happy. The two guys that came, Darrell and Brad came on time the day of work, were professional, through and cleaned up after they were done. Would use this company again and have no problems referring them.

Mike's Electric is an excellent company and contractor. We were highly impressed with their friendliness, professionalism, and dedication to satisfying their customers. They have a well earned reputation, and they are committed to maintaining it through their efforts to meeting the needs of the people they serve. We have the highest regard for their owner, Darrel, who is understandably proud of his company and his employees. He is absolutely wonderful to work with, and very personable. I felt as if we earned a new friend as we worked together to address our home improvement needs. He clearly strives to ensure that his customers are happy with the results, and he successfully earned our trust and confidence. What more can you ask of any business or contractor! We admired the great work ethics of their work crew, Aaron and Lall. They are exceptionally hardworking and impressive individuals who make the most of every minute they are on site. They are very effective and highly efficient in their work, and we appreciated how they took time to explain the quality work they were doing, and helped us to make good decisions. They are very friendly and extremely caring about their work and their customers. They take pride in their job, which was clearly demonstrated through their workmanship and productivity. We would welcome them back anytime! Finally, we wish to acknowledge Doug, the company representative that we originally spoke to on the phone when we were inquiring about their services. Again, you will not fine a more friendly person. Doug shared quality time with us to help us understand the type of work that they could perform and provided us with accurate information regarding costs and time. He is very patience and willing to educate his customers, which is something I value greatly from a contractor. We are convinced that Mike's Electric is among the best in the industry. I can best describe them as professional, very responsive, and caring about their work and customer satisfaction. We look forward to working with them again soon, and will recommend them to our friends and others. They are a terrific group of folks!

The tech replaced a new, outdoor outlet and two more in my garage. He advised having only one for the freezer which I agreed to do. He explained things thoroughly and asked all questions honestly. I would hire them again.

I called Mikes after reading their sterling reviews. They were very busy but when he heard the size of the job I wanted help with, they made a plan to get the estimator out. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and thorough. Also thoughtful with some nice suggestions. I would have likely chosen their company to do the work, but after saying that he would need a week to get the estimate done, I am still waiting for it. As it turns out, they were going through some administrative adjustments. The company contacted me after reading my review. I promised to review my rating if I could find an estimate in my email account that had been missed or routed to the junk mail. I did find a reminder asking whether I had received the email, but there was no estimate I could find. I suspect that the company would have done a great job at a reasonable price, but unfortunately the administrative issues and my email issues were a roadblock. Perhaps a phonecall would have avoided the issue

They were on time, professional and cleaned up after themselves.

The first job was a whole house electric inspection promotion. Electrician working at our house was very professional. Inspection report was comprehesive. And, the quote for total jobs was expensive and beyond our budget. I picked some portions and had them done. Then, we hired another Angie's List recommended electric service, and spent less money. We had a new sump pump installed by a plumber, which was running on an extension cable. We used an Angies List Deal to have Mike's Electric install an outlet for the pump connected to a dedicated circuit in the electrical panel, about 10 ft. away. The electrician showed up on time, discussed the fact that the time would slightly exceed the Deal we had purchased, which was reasonable. The work was done efficiently and to code. About a six foot run of the wiring was surface mounted on a wall, when it would have looked better to thread through the false ceiling; however, this was in a basement location, and we had not discussed the cosmetic options, so overall it was acceptable. We would use Mike's Electric again (but I would also dicuss in greater detail how the finished job would look, as with any contractor).

Aaron was here right on time. He was very pleasant. I took him to my rental where he installed the motion light, he came to my house and installed the other switches and lights. A neighbor stopped by to ask if he would come look at installing an exterior plug in his house. Aaron went to his house and was sure to not charge me for that time.

What a great experience, technician arrived on time, we reviewed the items that needed professional attention, 2 outlets (outdoor) and 2 photo cell outdoor lights, plus GFI in kitchen. He replaced 1 outlet and 1 photo cell. provided instructions on how to reset and adjust photo cell. all was complete in just under the 2 hours. Well done!

They performed a whole house inspection and did identify some problem areas I was not aware of since we had recently purchased the house.

Called and had them give me an estimate. They gave me a quote on each individual job, and I chose the jobs I wanted to perform based on those quotes. The job required 2 visits to my home. They were prompt, respectful of my property, clean working, and easy to communicate with. Office personnel were also polite and attentive when I called. The job was completed in a timely manner.The price was acceptable, and the work was done very well. I would definately call them for any additional work I want to do in the future.

Estimate went well. Was on time and and very helpful with information.

One of the electrical circuits in our house went out, and our bedroom and bath were without electricity. Mike's was able to come the same day I called, and performed the work quickly and promptly.

I was selling my home and the inspection report came back with a laundry list of electrical problems. I needed to fix all of the problems including an extensive rewiring of my electrical panel and code work. They fit my time table, explained everything that needed to be done, handled the electrical inspection and sign off by the city all in time to complete my sale.

As part of an Angie's list deal I hired them to put in two outdoor weatherproof outlets. One outlet was attached to the house and the other attached to the outside of a wall I had built on the other side of a patio 10 feet away. I have used Mike's before and they are good, very thorough and professional. The only issue was booking them. They only had a spot 10 days out. Which was ok. But then on the appointed day they had a job that ran over and had to postpone another week. Just the way it goes, but only a B rather than A in that department. The job itself was pretty easy. I had already dug the tench to lay the conduit. It took a couple of hours to do it. The outlet covers they used were plastic, which I'm sure is generally ok. But I like metal ones for both the look and durability. They only had the plastic. They handled the required city inspection which was done the next day! So that was nice.

The electricians called to check if they could arrive an hour earlier which was great for us. So they arrived earilier and finished the job in less then an hour. They were friendly and checked the work and asked if we had any other requests. They sent the bill in the mail and so we did not have to pay immedicatly. All went well.

They came to run a electricity from the house to a pump that was running my water feature about 30 feet from the house. They were able to save me a little money because the line would be covered by a new deck and therefore the line didn't have to be buried (as I recall). The gentleman was professional and I've had no problems at all.

Contractor was here on time and performed the service requested in a timely and efficient manner.

They scheduled the work, then called me to tell me there would be a charge for travel to my home. I told them that was not part of the offer on Angies List. They disputed that. They came out performed the work, billed me. I then called them and told them I would not pay for the travel time and sent them their check.

Aaron arrived on time with a clear understanding of the work to be done. I showed him both areas in the house where the work was to be performed and left him alone. I worked from home during the install with no interruption to power. He was polite, thorough and methodical in his approach and required no supervision. He had everything he needed for the two projects and cleaned up prior to leaving. The new fan is whisper quiet and works fabulously. Would use again for additional projects.

Showed up when they said they would, did an excellent job, very clean and exceeded my expectations.

Job went well. Everything finished neat. No damage to walls. Two hours of the work ($196) was covered by an Angie's list "deal" costing $99

Brian and Brad did the actual work. I liked that they confirmed the appointment the day before. They arrived in a timely manner and we talked though the project. They worked quickly and efficiently making sure that everything was well protected in the process. We were amazed at how quickly they got things done. We talked through questions that came up. We felt confident leaving them in the house when we had to run an errand. It was a positive experience from beginning to end and we are SO pleased with our new heat lamp, two quiet bathroom fans, and four exterior deck lights. Job well done.

They were quick and seamless. It worked as advertised.

Called them to come give an estimate and they arrived within a few days. They worked well with the contractor doing most of the remodeling work. Electrician even came by at start of his vacation to finish something.
