Mike's Electric

Went well, considering it was old Fixture in an awkward area.

I will hire Mikey’s Electric again for all my electrical projects. Clint & Cheyenne did the work, both were friendly, professional and conscientious.

The electrician from Mike's was able to quickly diagnose the problem, and replaced the damaged receptacles. He was thorough and efficient. I would absolutely hire Mike's Electric again.

Mike's scheduled the initial inspection promptly and then the replacement of my electrical panel within 2 days. We were very impressed by the speedy response times, both to our initial call and then the return trip to complete the work which took all day. The final cost was very close to the estimate and the work done was of very high quality. The electrician Brian and his apprentice Roman worked quickly and were extremely thorough, trustworthy and professional. I would have had no problem leaving them alone in my house the entire day they were here. Very pleased and would definitely use again.

Everything completed as expected. Problem was ceiling fan and electrician made sure it was an internal issue. Turns out I will probably need to get a new ceiling fan.

From the scheduling through implementation, people were professional and answered all my questions. Prior to our appointment, they sent someone out to assess the job, to insure the journeyman would have everything necessary to complete it. The journeyman and apprentice were on time and efficiently knocked out the project, including testing everything after install. They left the site clean - even disposing of the light fixture boxes, and I absolutely love the new look! Mike's Electric is now in my contact list as electricians for all my future projects.

They came out quickly. My favorite electrician was booked out three months but recommended Mike's. They came out the next day. The scheduler was really helpful and professional. The electrician was very polite, professional and quick. He finished quickly and left no mess. The price was really reasonable

They got us on their schedule through cancellation in 2 days. Arrived right on time. Worked quickly but thoroughly. Located problem very quickly and explained well for future reference and understanding.

I called in to schedule, They put me on hold in a very unprofessional way and sound very unrespectful during the phone call.

(I'm not sure what happened to my original review but I'm recreating it from memory as best I can.) The short version: It went extremely well. The long version: Using the Message Center here on angieslist.com, I made contact with Darryl Mollenhauer at Mike's Electric. (This was the second time I engaged Mike's Electric, the first being to replace an outside light at a back door about five years earlier. I was extremely pleased with the results of that project.) I described the work I needed done, and Darryl was both responsive and articulate in his replies, outlining what it would take. Darryl said the "open ground" issue should be simple to take care of. The outside AC hookup was obviously more involved so he requested that I take and send him digital photos of the breaker box and the spot on the outside of the house where I wanted the box installed. I also provided basement photos of the area under the first-floor breaker box so he would know the kind of access his workers would have to it. I had sent Darryl a photo of a campground hookup that was what I was hoping for. Darryl expressed doubt that they'd be able to put both outlets in the same box because of availability of such a thing, and that most likely it would end up being two separate electrical boxes, each with their own cover. I did not realize having a single box like I wanted was uncommon, so I was resigned to have two; availability wasn't the fault of Mike's Electric. On the day of the appointment, Erin and Doug arrived on time and got to work -- Erin worked primarily on the basement "open ground" issues and Doug worked primarily on the RV hookup. I don't think it was much more than an hour later, maybe two, when Erin and Doug announced they were done. In the basement, five outlets needed to be replaced and/or re-wired. As far as the RV hookup, I was surprised and extremely pleased to see that both outlets were within one box after all.

As with previous jobs, we appreciated being able to communicate by email with Darryl, the owner, about what we needed and get his opinion about the best way to solve the problem. That enabled us to order the LED fixtures and have them here when Aaron, the electrician, came out. He's done work for us several times in the 3+ years we've lived in this house, and we think he's the best! He's friendly and efficient and gets the job done quickly, and also cleans up after himself. This time, he had an apprentice, Cheyenne, with him, and she's obviously following his stellar example! As always, we're very pleased with the results.

Mike's has been involved with numerous small projects over the last year. They're professional, courteous, and puntual.

Talked to Mikes Electric about job. Provided all the information they asked for. Had to wait several weeks for a service appt. On day before appt they called and said they couldn't do the job because it was associated with a solar install. Time waisted for no reason.

Mike’s Electric fit us into a very busy schedule which we really appreciated as I am a caregiver for my 89 year mom and need electricity! Two workers showed up right at nine and got to work. I think the journeyman was Alec or Alex, and he had an apprentice. They worked fast and furiously, but very thoroughly. We have had Alex (hope that’s right) out before. It’s fun to watch him work. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing. We had several problems, including some wiring that is now illegal. He showed me the frayed wires, which were alarming and they may have saved us an electrical fire. They found and corrected several faulty crimp corrections and installed a proper electrical box for the vanity lights in our bathroom. There was also a junction box in the attic that had been jostled by workers earlier, and that needed to be fixed. It ended up costing more than we thought it would, do to additional problems. Our place is fairly old, as is the wiring.

Originally they weren't available for 2 weeks. However, due to a cancellation, they were able to come out in 1 week. Had a bit of trouble finding the house, but once there, they were able to get the work done in about 3 hours. The price seemed reasonable (permit, materials and labor for a 2-person crew.) They cleaned up the work area after they finished, and the new circuit works just fine.

It went great. I left a message and the scheduler called me back promptly and set up an appointment. The technician arrived during the window I was given, he was friendly, clean and efficient. The fan did have to be replaced and he took away the old one to be recycled which was a service I wasn't expected and was so grateful for. It took him 40 minutes from start to finish; of course I had to pay for the whole hour as it was under and hour, and I expected that.

The crew arrived on the day scheduled. They focused on the job and were professional in doing it right. Complications arose but they took them in stride. Very professional and competent job.

It took several weeks to get an appointment, but I wasn't in a hurry. The electrician knew what he was doing but it was a little hard to understand his accent. He did an excellent job but left just a little mess. But at his hourly wage I'd rather clean it up myself anyway.

The lady helped walk me through getting it fixed over the phone, which was really nice. They saved me some money. I called her back to thank her, since it was really wonderful of her to do that. She said "I knew you could do it". She was really special.

A little more expensive than I had hoped, but work was done promptly and professionally. Showed up on time, went to work and was done very quickly.

The electrician did an excellent job, and the company was professional. Pricing was more expensive than I've paid in the past, but solid work and the company was the easiest and quickest to schedule the service.
