They gave us a very wonderful breakdown of exactly what each item would cost and what we liked about it was it said labor and materials and gave you a total for that particular thing. Everything they had was very detailed and very easy. They have listed it like top priority, medium and low so we could kind of choose what we felt really needed to be done. We were really pleased with him. They were thorough and very polite. Whatever they looked at, they pointed it out to us at the time and told us what it was and why it should be updated or it’s a little more important to update or really needed to be updated. They had very intelligent questions. Their estimate included the parts and labor for the job they were going to do. We were quite impressed with what they did and you could tell from just talking and listening to them, they really knew what they were talking about. The other thing that impressed me is that they were not doing a salesman job. They were not trying to sell us anything. It was more like a workman telling you what is kind of wrong but they weren’t trying to sell us a job. We could see exactly what they were talking about which to us was very important.

Aaron and Alex were professional, punctual, and efficient. They communicated well and installed the kitchen outlet and double flood light in an hour less than estimated. They cleaned up the work areas and explained how to adjust the settings for the flood light. Aaron did a great job cutting the hole in the back of the kitchen cabinet. He also had to cut into the wall to enlarge the area so that a larger box could be installed for the existing outlet. I was impressed by the quality of their work and thoroughness.

After calling five different electrical repair companies who were scheduled way out and frankly not very helpful, I called Mike's and talked to Doug who was very interested in my problem, offered some do-it-yourself suggestions and ended up having a repairman at my house within an hour. Tom the repairman was great. He was professional, personable and very informative about the problem and what he was doing to remedy it. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

Heard popping noises that seemed to be coming from inside wall and called Mikes. They initially couldn't get us in immediately so Daryl actually gave me two other electricians to call to see if they had openings. When those two were booked I called back and he'd had a cancellation the next day. Brian and Jason came out and accessed the situation. Went into the wall and found the problem, efficiently addressed it and cleaned up everything after they were done. Communicated everything along the way as to what they were finding/ doing. Checked the attic to make sure everything up there was okay. Even suggested we call the homeowners insurance to see if the damage was covered. Really great experience overall.

These guys were great! They were on time and very pleasant to work with. They did the job just as I wanted it done in a little less time than I expected it to take. They cleaned up very well and showed me how a couple things worked that i had installed. I would use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them. I found them on Angie's List, but Lamps Plus also recommended them when I purchased the fixtures. The whole process of getting an estimate, scheduling, having the work done, and the follow up from their office was very smooth. Great company!

ON TIME, PROFFESIONAL, KNOWLEDGABLE FAIR PRICE

I purchased the property a year ago where my grandson and his mother live. At the time of purchase Mike's Electric was recommended to me by the REALTOR who helped with my purchase. I needed to upgrade the service to the house. There was a 60 amp meter on the house and a 200 amp breaker box in use. It was a delight to work with Mike's. After 26 years as a residential home listing agent where I managed numerous repairs for my clients I have an appreciation of excellent professional service and no tolerance for poor service. In additional to performing quality electrical work their estimator was most impressive when handling the PP&L utility employee who showed up and was basically a major negative obstructionist. Cost $4000 After my very positive experience with Mike's Electric when they upgraded the service last year, that when I had them perform a whole house electrical inspection this year and make needed repairs I didn't feel any need to travel to the house to oversee the work. Cost $2800 Whenever I need electrical service in the Greater Portland area I will call Mike's Electric.

I had purchased an Angie's Big Deal which was 2 hours for $99. The redemption time was drawing near but Mike was very amiable and agreed to do the work after the expiry date. I got a 2 hour window of when to expect the electrician and he was actually able to come early. Two very charming, professional guys turned up Curt and Alex and got all the projects I had lined up for them finished in well under the 2 hour limit. I was charged a materials charge of $28 for a new circuit breaker, receptacle, and cover plate. Curt answered some questions I had for future projects which was really helpful. Very pleased with their expertise and wouldn't hesitate to hire them in future.

The service worked out well. I spent more than the big deal. They came right away to do the inspection like within a week. I was not there, but their work seemed seamless. I am not on-site with the home, but we did not have any issues with them. I work with an organization that owns a lot of homes. From the feedback from the homes, it went smoothly and everything is operating correctly.

Overall, I would not recommend anyone use this company. They gave me a written estimate which they did not adhere to, the estimator said additional work would be charged at $90 per hour and that two men would be scheduled for the work and it would be completed in half a day. What I received was one electrician who they charged me $105 per hour for, he took all day to do the work, and they did not stick to their estimate for the work so it cost me nearly 20% more than I expected. Also, the company pulled $200 in permits with city and added a service fee to the permits which was a surprise. Overall, I am unclear why permits were needed for wiring a doorbell and installing under cabinet lights which had already been wired and the circuits in place. All I had Mike's Electric do was connect lights to existing wires in the kitchen. In short, I felt their business practices were deceptive, they overcharged me, charged me for travel time to and from the house which I have never seen and did not adhere to their estimate (nor did they adhere to the hourly charge they stated).

He was wonderful. They scheduling was easy and they were accomidating. I would highly recommend them. They also cleaned up when they were done.

The guy who came out was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me an inspection and pointed out several things that needed to be done in order to keep my house safe.

The work done was in our condo that we are renting. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Our tenants had no complaints at all.

The service provider was punctual and performed the task with great professionalism. He assembled the fan, installed and provided appropriate switch plates. The fan that I had purchased at Costco was difficult to assemble. He took the time to do it right. Which I appreciate.

They did great work. They were timely and double checked everything they did. On the phone they made other suggestions to ensure that service was actually needed.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, they did an okay job. They came out really quickly after we purchased the big deal. It took him quite a while to do the outside outlet, and it still wasn't fixed quite right. I don't know if it was their fault. I wasn't thrilled with their service, but I wasn't even disappointed. It was okay service.

I replaced virtually all lights switches and outlets in two hallways and two rooms. Some were replaced as part of a remodel but many were "out of scope" for the electrician who came for the remodel, so I had Mike's do the rest. I used a coupon which covered most but not all of the remaining outlets and switches. I paid for some extra time to complete the work. I always grumble at the cost of Mikes (and all electricians to be honest), but I have never been disappointed with Mikes. They have always sent good people who are friendly, informative, and work quickly and efficiently. They are my "go-to" electricians.

Their electrician was courteous and responsive, and did the two small jobs we requested quickly and efficiently. He also offered some good suggestions on how to install a ceiling fan we were interested in, and the company promptly submitted a bid. The installation for that project is tricky and the bid, while reasonable, was a little pricey, so we have yet to act on it.

AMAZING! FABULOUS! AWESOME! Mike's electric is AWESOME! Brad and Brian were professional, polite and did a great job! Amanda also was very helpful and great to deal with. She was able to go the extra mile and fit me in when I needed them to - I just can't thank them all enough! I have already recommended them to my contractor who is planning to contact them for all his future jobs. I will also call them again to have them come do the electrical work for the upstairs. Very professional. Punctual. VERY NEAT. left 2 rooms in which they did work spotless. Very happy with ceiling fan install. Only thing to improve would have been to go final step & add weights to blades (included in kit ) to prevent wobble at Medium & ' high speed. Had time left over so checked garage door keypad. Very satisfied & would definitely recommend & use again.
