Mike's Electric

They worked with me and with the county inspector to find a cost effective solution to moving the electrical service that avoided pulling a new 4 wire cable that would have been difficult and expensive, because of the location.

It went well. One person came out.

Tom of Mike's electric was very professional, prompt and thorough in his work. He was excellent at breaking down the work into a list of must dos, should be considered, and those items that would improve the home but wasn't necessary. He explained the reasons for each project and help us make the right decisions of which projects to tackle first. In addition Tom was very considerate of our home and did his best to keep each area protected and thoroughly cleaned up after he was done. We will definitely be using Tom and Mike's electric for any future electrical work.

They showed up when they said they would. That might not seem like a big deal, but it doesn't always happen and it is very inconvenient when it doesn't. They were very friendly, especially with my dogs. I was very happy with the speed at which they worked and was very impressed with the quality of the work. They even took the time to explain to me the basics of changing outlets and light switches in case I wanted to change other outlets or light switches around the house in the future. After they were done they cleaned up any mess (screws, outlets, etc) from the work provided. I will be using them again and would recommend them to anyone in need of any electrical work.

It was just a simple installation and I ended up paying extra. I would not call them again.

Since this is a mid century home the wiring was interesting. It took longer than anticipated as they had to fish a wire and replace a light fixture.

This is an update to an original review I did of Mike's Electric giving it the highest marks I could give. And this time is no different, only enhanced. You never know how a contractor will respond when it has to return on a job. In Mike's Electric case they were just wonderful, prompt and gracious;in fact, especially so because the work's problem was really my fault, And there was no charge for it. Tom Branch, the electrician who did our work, modernizing a panel serving four condos, plus other work in the apartments, is a pleasure to watch, accommodating and professional. Tom and the company he represents just make me wish I had more work to give them.

Punctual and did as asked and estimated.

It was good. They were really good. They were fast and efficient. I'm really pleased with the work they did.

Spoke with people in the office twice and scheduled a visit for what I thought was an electrician for several days in the future. Had work site ready for the electrician and instead an estimator showed up. I was disappointed but told him I had 2 projects to be done: one a definite go, the other for consideration. The estimator reviewed the first project and told me he would get back to me with an estimate, and chose not to review the second project. A senior person in the office called to apologize, but said that if I accepted the estimate, he could have an electrician here in 8 more days. I told him I had received no estimate. This entire experience was unprofessional with a take it or leave it attitude, as I perceived it. I contacted another electrician, who was here within 4 hours and completed all of the work.

The electrician went out to his truck several times and took more time than I had paid for. The owner/manager did call and reduced the amount I owed since I was unhappy with the work. I wouldn't use this company again.

They were on time, friendly and tidy. They did a great job.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It turned out pretty well. We paid additional because we went over the 2 hour limit and we were paying for parts. They did a very good job. They were very quick but very competent. They told us what they were doing while they were doing it. They told us what to look for that could be problem. They were very effective. We called them back again about a month later because we had an issue with our bathroom circuits because all the bathrooms went down. The gentleman they sent went outside and found an outlet that was full of water and had shorted the whole circuit of bathrooms so he replaced it. It was done in a very timely fashion and all the bathrooms were working again. The price was very reasonable for what we had requested.

It went well, It is an easy job but I didn't want to take any chances with a fire by doing it myself. The new heaters fit exactly into the space of the old ones so its as simple as unscrewing and undoing the wires of the old ones and installing the new ones. It took a very short time.

Awesome! I tried to install this myself but frankly I've got a rickety ladder and didn't want to plunge to my death. Found Mike's on Angie's and they were able to come out the next day because of a cancellation. My other electrician couldn't make it for two weeks. They were in and out within 75 minutes. Didn't even ask me to pay on the spot. Billed showed up a couple of days later with net 15 terms. Everyone was very professional and friendly from start to finish.

They did send me a courtesy email immediately after I purchased deal regarding scheduling. However, I did not get back to them yet as I was waiting for the light fixtures to come in.

I CAN'T CONTACTED THEM AGAIN LAST WEEK AND THEY SAID THE GUY THAT GIVES THE BIDS IS BEHIND. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM IS BEYOND ME BECAUSE THEY CAN'T EVEN GET YOU THE BID!

Kurt replaced a twin 15 amp breaker and corrected old illegal and improper wiring connections inside the electrical panel of which I was completely unaware. It still shorted, but Kurt and Alex were extremely knowledgeable and methodical in determining the cause. It turned out to be a short in underground wiring inside the buried run of a conduit running down the side of my home originating in my attic! I am so fortunate that I didn't even attempt to repair this myself or have a friend try to do so! If you have a 50's ranch home as I do, you will inevitably discover some type of "gerry-rigging" which previous owners had done to save themselves a little money and sometimes this can be dangerous. I highly recommend Mike's Electric and will certainly use them again if the need arises. I am extremely grateful for their professionalism, punctuality and cordiality and the fact that they may have saved my home from burning down. Thank you very much. These guys are great. I appreciate the high quality work and reliability. During the last 2 visits they spent a good amount of time investigating wiring which chewed up a lot of time - I would expect it to go faster. This turns into an extra hour of time - about $150. However I will call them again because I think their professionalism and good manners are super. Amanda at the main office is also very professional!

We have actually used them twice and we were satisfied with their services on both times. There was an additional charge besides the price of the big deal. The job took longer than the time that we purchased on the big deal and we also paid for the parts that they used.

Mike's Electric are knowledgeable. I would use them again in the future.

First of all, everyone I worked with at Mike's Electric was wonderful! The customer service was excellent?all questions answered promptly and in ways someone who doesn't know a thing about electrical matters can understand. The estimate was accurate and the prices were good. The people who came do do the work were great! Work was well done and the clean up was perfect. Can't go wrong with Mike's?really glad I used them!

The service was superb. They were very knowledgeable. I was scheduled for a Wednesday but came a day early which was surprising. However, someone was here and I arrived half way through the appointment. They were professional and I was pleased with the work.

The service was very nice. He was very informative, and gave us an outline on how to get started, and what needs to be done. We will see things that we can do ourselves, and whatever we can't do our self, we will call them. I was very pleased, they said it would take time to get the report back, and it did, but it came about when they said it would, and it was pretty thorough. I would recommend them.The price was fine, I pay more to get my car evaluated.

they are great, responsive, quick and a very presentable crew. I have already hired them to do more work.
