Mike's Electric

The service went well. I did have to pay an additional $100 for what I needed done. They moved my electrical outlet in the ceiling so it was over the dining room table. They also installed a new chandelier. The technician was neat and punctual. He was also detail oriented and did exactly what I needed. Scheduling was not an issue.

The scheduler was polite and eficient. They arrived on time (even a few minutes early) fixed the problem and sent a bill. What could be better?

Mike's called the tenants, made the appointment with them, arrived on time and fixed the problem. I received a bill about one week later. Easy to work with, efficient and fair, I will use Mike's again and would recommend them to everyone.

Detected problem immediately as well as related problem and fixed both in a prompt and professional manner.

We always request their electrician, Tom, for work in our home. We have had them out multiple times for light fixture installation, and other electrical work in a rather complicated 1930's home with plenty of quirks. Tom is a very friendly person, but more importantly, he is a great problem solver and has come up with some creative and thoughtful solutions to some of our electrical issues. Always pleased with the work done and would have them out again for any future needs.

we try to use mike's whenever we need an electrician. it took a couple times to get it right this time, but they were very responsive and willing to get it done right.

They were great. They were awesome actually. I like it because the guy answered my questions. He had to put a grounding rod in. My old grounding rod was in pavers and we really wanted it in dirt and putting in at the end of the house. He did ask the right questions. He just gives me a good vibe. My sister in law just asked for an electrician for the area and I gave her his number.

Sure enough, fix (2) above did the trick and all lights and outlets are now functioning properly. No service call is needed. I am EXTREMELY impressed with Mike's Electric.....they could have very easily come out and charged me for a service call and corrected the issue, but instead, took the time to cover some basic troubleshooting . Honest, professional company. I will definitely use their services in the future.

I did not re-schedule due to Mike's Electric not being able to commit to an appointment time.

Everything seemed fine until I received a surprise bill of $24.00 for putting in three light bulbs. The technician never said anything about charging me $24.00 to put in light bulbs. He just put in the light bulbs without asking or saying anything. So, I assumed that that was just part of the service. If he had of said something before putting them in, I would have said "No thanks, I can get my own light bulbs." When I told them that there was no discussion of price or any discussion before he put the light bulbs in, they did not seem to care. Subsequently, I will not be using their services in the future.

As always, when Tom does the work, it's done right the first time. He is a highly professional electrician who arrives when he says he will, gets the work done quickly and makes sure I understand that if there is any followup he will be back in short order to take care of it. If his hourly rate wasn't so high, I'd adopt him. Actually his hourly rate is very competitive, but I still can't afford to adopt him. The old fixed income problem, ya' know.

Did just the basics, didn't have the knowledge to trouble shoot deeper level issues.

they were here for about 45 minutes and completed each job to my satisfaction and cleaned up after themselves.

We lost power to a bunch of sockets and lights in a couple rooms in our house. Turns out it was one blown socket that was the culprit. The two electricians got lucky and the first outlet they tested was the bad one. They replaced it and everything was working perfectly in a matter of minutes after they arrived! Since they were getting paid by the hour, they offered to see if there was anything else they could do. They ended up getting a couple sockets in our kitchen up to code in case we ever move or sell our home. They could've left when they fixed the original problem and we are so grateful that they offered to see if anything else was needed. They were friendly, punctual, and professional. It can be intimidating as a female inviting unknown men into my home, but they immediately put me at ease. They were there to do a job and they did it well. I'm not 100% sure on the dates they came and how much it cost. Those were ballpark guesses, but pretty close. It was much less expensive than we were expecting - we thought the problem was much more serious than a bad outlet! A+. We will call again for sure if we ever need to in the future!

Easy to work with from scheduling to punctual arrival. The two electricians were professional and kept me informed of what they were doing. They took great notes and are going to send me a quote on what recommendations they have. There was no high pressure sales to replace panels on the spot. My only negative is I wish they would have removed their shoes or worn booties to cover their work boots when they went on the carpet.

in 2 hours, replaced approx 10 outlets. I paid for parts but excellent quick labor after checking an outlet that supplies washer with which we've had problems, the washer didn't work as well. Mike's sent out an electrician who spent 90 minutes or so doing a comprehensive check of the service to the outlet to assure that what had been done was not going to recur. There was no charge. the problem has NOT recurred. I was very pleased with the service in every way.

We contacted Mike's Electric to clean all of our electrical outlets. Before making the appointment, Mike's Electric called here to get more information because this was such an unusual request. So I told him about how we had to call a washing machine repairman to fix our machine, because it didn't turn on at all when you pressed the "on" button. The repairman found that the problem was a dusty electrical outlet, and suggested that we have all the outlets cleaned in our house. After hearing more details, Mike's Electric made a more accurate diagnosis, and told us how to fix it safely and cheaply, with a $3 part from a big box store. We really appreciated how Mike's Electric saved us money!!! And this wasn't the first time. We have used Mike's Electric for the past 10 years, and this is not the first time they have saved us money with their honesty. I would recommend Mike's Electric to anyone and everyone!

Showed up on time and was willing and able to answer many of my questions. I also had them do some wiring for some cabinet lighting.

Electrician came out was so nice but it was determined that my renter had put aluminum foil on the burners shorting out the stove he was so nice and professional. I would absolutely use it again

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. I spent about $111 additional over the Big Deal price for the extra work they did. They are excellent to work with.

They did a good a job. So far they haven't gone off.

The price quoted includes travel. They sent two men so one one helped the other one install 2 fans but stood around a lot. It ended up costing more than the two hours in the coupon. I think Mike's electric is a firm for big jobs. I wouldn't recommend them for small jobs. Also, I asked them for a quote for additional work and they were twice as expensive as the other quote.
