Description of Work: Paid $99 for 2 hrs electrical. 15 min deducted for travel so the offer was misrepresented. To arrive between 11-3. Arrived 3:25 pm. Apprentice took 1-1/2 hrs to replace a trak lite. Electrician finished job for him. Electrician installed a simple switch and they rushed out. Took back 2 led bulbs electrician "tested" as bad. Lighting store showed they were installed incorrectly. My husband later put them on the trak lite and was one to actually finish the job. Two days later i got a bill for an additional $45 Materials: ($11 -one wire used for switch?) Labor:(Journeyman $182, Apprentice $60) Less Angie's List Discount of $208??? They were here exactly 1-1/2 hrs, late, wrong about bulbs being bad and only completely finished one thing. Bottom line: Curt, Journeyman was very good but slowed down considerably by Apprentice. Bottom line: I question the company's advertising, communications and bookkeeping practices.

We appreciate the member's business and for giving our company an opportunity. We are sorry that she was disappointed with the results, but most of the information in her review is not accurate: 1. Our travel policy is clearly stated in the Big Deal "Fine Print". She also was sent two e-mails from us clarifying the travel policy (among other things) and it was covered again in the multiple phone calls she made to us before scheduling the actual work. We take significant issue with her comment that our travel policy was "misrepresented" since she was advised at least 5 times prior to the day of work what she could expect. 2. We use a GPS system in all our vans to track time and manage our fleet. Our activity report for that day shows us arriving at her home at 1:22 p.m. (within our appointment window - so we were not late) and departing her home at 3:09 p.m. Our electrician was actually back at our shop and clocked out before she claims we actually arrived at her home! 3. Same GPS report shows us at her home for 1.75 hours, not the 1.5 hours she claims. 4. We were aware of the issue with the apprentice and only billed for 1 hour of his time (not "1 1/2 hours"). Customer "adjusted" our payment to what she thought was correct without the courtesy of first calling to discuss her concerns.

We have contacted customer to discuss this with him. Our records indicate we supplied him a written estimate of about $250.00 on 8/15/12. He called on 8/24/12 and scheduled the work to be completed on 8/31/12, then e-mailed us on 8/28/12 and cancelled the appointment. We believe member has us confused with another electrical contractor and that the circumstances in his review do not pertain to us. We look forward to having this resolved with member in the next day or two.
