Description of Work: We purchased a new dryer which required a reduced amp (from 40 to 30) and we also wanted an outlet in the foyer. Scott came out and quickly took care of both issues. He was very quick and did a great job. We will be calling Mike's again whenever we need an electrician.

Description of Work: Two electricians showed up 10 minutes early and quickly traced the problem to a breaker that had only one phase fail. I've added Mike's Electric to my "rolodex" for future use.

Description of Work: Did initial consultation for free. Very knowledgeable gentleman came and took his time looking at our problem and had good suggestions. We will followup at a later date if needed. He felt our home was safe and we could take detailed notes if have further problems with circuits going off and give them a call.

Description of Work: They fixed a ceiling fan for me but were unable to fix the light in it which had a problem in a sealed electrical unit they said.

Description of Work: Replaced the ballast in a garage fluorescent fixture. Kurt worked efficiently and professionally.

Description of Work: Trouble shoot and inspect GFCI plug. Also replace a different CGFI plug. Electrician came with an apprentice. This wasn't a 2 man job. Job took about 4 hours. The apprentice was billed at a lower rate for 3 hours. I complained to the owner that the apprentice was not called for in this case and I should not be billed for him. He proposed to split the cost after some back and forth. I reluctantly agreed when I realized this was the best concession I would get. |PS This is the 1st time I had to give a negative review.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for $89 for Whole House Electrical Inspection

Description of Work: They performed an assessment on the health of my home electrical setup. | |My condo was built in 1987 and I wanted to be sure my home was safe. | |They came out, performed their assessment and it turned out well. No major issues. They even put a temporary light in my hallway where it turned on only once in a while and was a concern. | |I'm happy with the work they performed and would call them for any future electrical needs. | |

Description of Work: I wanted to have two new independent electrical circuits wired into my garage. I called Mike's electric and they showed up exactly on time, gave me a rough cost estimate for the work that turned out to be a little higher than the final cost. Their work was exellent and I plan on using them soon on another electrical project.

Description of Work: Various changes for switches and wall plugs to bring service into compliance with current standards. Also added more smoke alarms and proper groundings.
