Mike's Electric

I believe a gentleman by the name of Aaron (I think) and a nice female (her name escapes me) showed up on time (a little early in fact) and were very professional and got right down to business.They did a thorough examination of my home including the outside electrical in the backyard and roof. They were very patient when I had questions and answered so a layman like myself would understand. After they were done, Aaron went through the inspection with me and explained what was found. The whole process took about 4 hours from start to finish. I would definitely hire them again and intend to once I decide what work I can afford to do right now. One suggestion: I would give an idea of how long getting the actual estimate will take so I would have known what to expect (it took approximately 3 weeks after the appointment). Not a big deal at all, the service was excellent. I'll call them to schedule an appointment when I'm ready to do the work.

They came the same day and the job turned out well. I actually wanted to have an outdoor outlet installed also, but was told it needed to be grounded since we have an old system. The foreman offered no alternatives and didn't seem too interested in pursuing it. He was pleasant, but his English was very hard to understand so I might have missed something.

They're timely and they do quality work.

He was very good but seemed a little rushed. He was very nice and very explanatory. I have used them in the past and was very pleased. They are good and I knew I could trust them.

I was quoted $500 to $600 for the work which they thought would take 4 hours. It took an extra hour and I got a bill for twice as much. 5% wasn't taken off my bill for being an Angie's List member either. Owner supplied all materials except for $55 worth of copper romex so the rest of bill was labor and $52 for a permit. Room was also completely empty of all obstacles. Electricians did not use drop cloths on all areas of the floor where they were working and plaster dust got ground into the wood floors. They did vacuum up when done but not very well. I still had to vacuum plaster and wipe down baseboards and swifter afterwards myself. Considering the price tag of an average $220 an hour for 2 guys and the gross negligence in their quoting practices I would not recommend.

Electrician was prompt, curious, and knowledgeable. Price was close to quite despite a few challenges our situation presented. We are happy with the result!

Great experience all around. The estimator, Doug, was prompt, professional and made good suggestions. The technicians, Brad and Rob, worked quickly, efficiently and carefully. They also were professional and courteous providing good advice and seeking clarification when needed instead of making assumptions. The final bill was below the estimated cost which was a nice surprise. I would highly recommend Mike's Electric.

Perfect. Got us in the same day due to a cancellation and this was the week before Christmas. Impressive !

I couldn't have been more pleased with the office staff, electrical work, or electrician. My job was scheduled for more than two weeks out. However, what a pleasant surprise when Darryl contacted me to offer an earlier appointment due to a cancellation. Alex arrived 15 minutes prior to the two-hour window of time. He was a good listener, and was able to understand my needs and issues. He was very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and had a can-do attitude. Alex even provided valuable advice on how to prevent some problems in the future. An added bonus was that he was able to complete installation of the porch light in half the time that he estimated.

2 electricians came out for the job. The installation was a bit complicated because the panel was in a utility room adjacent to the garage and not in the garage. They ran conduit through the wall and to the front of the garage. The guys were friendly, efficient, and did a great job. The install was very clean and neat

Excellent. Mike's Electric is fabulous. They are highly professional (from the bidding process through the estimate, the work, permitting, questions, etc.) prompt, skilled, and easy to communicate with via email and phone. Our old house needed a lot of electrical upgrading and updating as we prepared for our basement remodel. First in August they updated the electrical panel. Then in October they rewired the first floor, and finally in November they did all the wiring for our basement remodel. I am fully confident in the work that Mike's Electric did for us, and I will gladly hire them again. Their price was not the lowest, but when it comes to electrical work we were more than willing to pay a higher price for the skill, professionalism, and the comfort of knowing the job was done accurately and well. We are very pleased and we would recommend them to everyone. We will definitely use them again.

I contacted several companies on a Sunday and Mike's was the only one to get back to me that day which I greatly appreciated (for that matter they were the only company to get back to me within 4 days!). They came out a few days ago on time - diagnosed the problem, repaired it - all for around what our contact thought it would cost. They have been available by email to answer any questions I had before and after the repair. I've added them to our preferred contractor list (companies that we feel comfortable referring to families and friends) and I recommend them.

This is the second time we have used Mike's Electric for work in our home and they are the best! The work is easy to schedule, the estimates are good, they arrived on time, and the electricians are very professional and do excellent work. Will definitely use them for future work.

Ended up figuring out the problem myself and did not need the schedule repair.

After arriving on time the electrician from Mike's found an outlet where the power wire had come loose killing the circuit. They replaced 2 outlets for me were gone in 25-30 minutes. This is the third time I've called Mike's and I'm sure I will call again.

They finished promptly, did a great job and cleaned up. We have rental homes and plan to use their services in the future. Thank you!!

I think they were very good. I think it's largely the pricing they were a little on the high end.

Both employees were professional and most importantly very knowledgeable. They found a fault that I'd suspected and corrected it. They replaced a breaker that they suspected to be faulty and in doing so uncovered the wiring fault. Since I paid for the inspection only I would have liked to be asked if I wanted the breaker replaced - they just went ahead and did it - I would have done this myself as I'm competent on this and could have saved $100. But to be fair I think 95% of their customers would want the work to be done by the electrician so I guess that's what was assumed. Fair enough. I'd use them again because they did know what they were talking about (I'm an electrical engineer), there was no BS :-)

We have always been pleased with the results. They are very thorough and professional in their work and written estimates. Would highly recommend them.
