Description of Work: I called and spoke with Darrel and he was very helpful. My power was out in 1 bedroom half a bathroom and another bedroom so I called after I replaced a circuit breaker. He suggested I look throughout the house and look for a GFCI outlet. That way I would save the $98 charge of him coming out to just hit the reset button. I looked all over the house and finally found one on the outside of the house on the opposite side: lo and behold, he was right. He cost himself the $98 this time, but he got a new customer... So, the next time I need an electrician, I know who I will call! THANKS DARREL!!!

Description of Work: Installed GFCI outlets, repaired junction box, repaired non-working lights in kitchen and exhaust fan. Repaired breaker panel. Installed outside security lights. Ran new circuit from house and re-fed garage. Removed old wiring. Rewired garage for lights and plugs. Installed ground rods and bonded water pipe. Ran new circuit and installed flood light. Removed old knob and tube wiring and updated. Plus numerous other small repairs. Aaron, Lall and Alex spent a total of three days doing the above work. I knew the 1920's house needed the electrical updated and used Angie's Big Deal to ascertain what needed to be done. I suppose I could have shopped around more but liked Mike's at the outset and respected the recommendation from Angie's list. I've also learned you get what you pay for. Description of Work: I called Mike's to install a wall heater in an unheated storage room. The appointment was made for a convenient time, the electrician called when he left the shop and arrived right on time. He was very professional and friendly and performed the work exactly as I asked. The bill arrived today and was in keeping with the over the phone estimate, except for a permit fee - guess I should have expected that. Overall I was very satisfied and would definitely use Mike's again.

Description of Work: I bought two prepaid hours of work. the crew arrived and inspected my home and rewired a light switch that was always powered on. after they left I tested the switch. Now it is always powered off. If they had checked their work they would have spotted this.Doesnt inspire a lot of confidence in buying more service.

Description of Work: Greetings! I contacted MIke's Electric. They sent out an electrician who finished all of my projects within about an hour. I was most happy with the young man whom they sent. He handled all of requests knowledgeably and quickly. He was very professional. I will most likely use Mike's Electric if I have future problems.

Description of Work: Mikes electric replaced a electrical panel and fixed several household electrical problems. They were always on time, informed me every step of the way when problems occurred. Supplied pictures of the problem. When my original plan was going to be over budget they offered alternatives and associated cost. they were honest, courteous, and always cleaned up after themselves. My house is very old so we found many issues that took me over budget and they were very willing to work with me. I would recommend Mikes electric to any one needing electrical service. They best contractor I have had to deal with in a long time.

Description of Work: Their bid was much higher than others I had received. I had no qualms about the punctuality, service or anything else with the company. The gentleman who came out was very professional and helpful with ideas.

Description of Work: The service person sent out was an hour late. They had forgotten about the appointment. The service man had little knowledge of what we needed. He said he would send us a bid. That bid never showed up. We then call AJ electric in Forest Grove they were very promt.

Description of Work: lights downstairs started blinking, called PGE, they came to check on a Sunday night, found a fuse dangerously sparking..they disabled this fuse. called Mikes Electric on Monday, Doug showed up as scheduled.Tuesday at noon, replaced faulty fuse with correct one. he dind't have one with him so left for about 20 minuted to fetch one.. lights work well, very nice person,pleasant worker, chatted about things in general and said someday when house sold will require a new electric box.
