Mark came over with a bid within 48 hours after I called him.He gave me an estimate which was well below the other 3 contractors from whom we had received bids. (They wanted to paint ceilings and walls and inside the cabinetry, which we did not think was necessary). Mark had had one of his other projects reschedule so they were able to fit us in a week earlier than originally planned. The job was to last two days with two employees.The first day, my husband came home and was not happy with the work that had been done that day and discussed it with Mark. Mark met with my husband at our home early in the morning of the second day and assured him the work would be done to his satisfaction. There was some confusion as to the scope of the work. One of the two employees was having health problems so Mark's other employee showed up alone on that second day. He finished up the rest of the work and did an amazing job, really above and beyond. We would highly recommend Mark Powers Painting. They did a good job at a fair price.

Mark came out right away to give us an estimate. He was knowledgeable and always quick to respond to our many questions. His crew was timely, professional and thorough. Mark obviously cares about his work. We benefited from his extensive knowledge and his recommendations. We are very happy with the end result and would not hesitate to hire Mark and his crew again.

Mark gave us an estimate and painting was scheduled for the following week. The painter, Steve did a great job with the wall, including giving it two coats. He was very professional and friendly.

Mark and his crew were very professional and efficient as usual. This was not the first job they have painted for us. In fact, it was the third. They came in and prepared everything ahead. They did the work efficiently and were out in short time. It is beautiful and clean. The product used was very low VOC and I did not have to move out due to fumes.

Everyone's house is different, and even the same floor plan with the same orientation will have minor nuances that make each job unique. Other estimators came out, walked around, made a few notes, gave me a number, and were gone within 10 minutes. Mark Powers himself came out, started a conversation about painting before even looking at the house, pointed out various nuances about my house to me -- this will be easy to fix, that will require a bit more work, explained how the painting process would work if we chose his business, and TOOK TIME. In the end, an estimate that was perhaps 30% higher than the others were given. Everyone's priorities are different, and our top priority is quality -- we are willing to pay more for something as long as we know why the price is higher and if we agree there is value. So we were torn -- on one hand, 30%. However, we just had an overwhelming sense of professionalism and quality from Mark Powers that we didn't see in other companies. I called back, and explained the price difference, and wanted to make sure I understood why the bid was higher. Mark again took the time, even though I was unsure, to help me understand how his bid was structured, and how different companies might cut a corner here or there to shave cost. Ultimately with house painting, it seems you get what you pay for. Everyone from Mark Powers Painting was pleasant and professional, and after even short conversations with any of them, it was obvious that everyone has a sense of pride of good workmanship, and wants to see the job done right. Every morning, people were there right when expected, and at the end of each day our house was thoroughly cleaned (except for masking which was still needed the next day). When I had questions or concerns, everyone was willing to listen and had the attitude that they wouldn't leave until I was satisfied. In the end, I have no concerns about how things were done. I would strongly recommend Mark Powers Painting to anyone. The estimate may come back higher than others, and I would recommend that each person understand what is being purchased with that extra, or said differently, what corners other companies are cutting to stay profitable at lower estimates.

Mark responded to my timing needs on short notice during a remodel. He was highly recommended. He returned my phone call (when others made promises and didn't followed through). He showed up on time and gave me a very fair bid. Mark and his crew are professionals. One of the rooms had very high/sloped ceilings that they handled masterfully. They did a really good job and just what I wanted. They completed our master and a small bedroom including ceilings in two days. They got two coats on the master and one on the small bedroom which I was able to finish off. That is a lot of work for two guys in two days and the second coat was so easy because they got great coverage with the first!

Mark's initial assessment of the job was thorough and detailed. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. His crew members arrived on time, were polite, and did a great job cleaning up.

Mark exceeded our expectations and responded to our needs and concerns promptly. Mark was upfront with us to the time frame the job could be completed and stuck to it. After the work was completed, Mark came out and to review the work with the initial work order to ensure what we requested was the work performed.

This was the second painting job that we hired Mark to do for us so we had confidence going into the project that it would be done right. They came in masked and covered all the floors in the painting area and the area leading in from the front door and to the garage. They fully turned the garage into a paint booth taping and shrouding the whole space in plastic protection so nothing was exposed to overspray. They took each door and drawer off the kitchen cabinets marking each so everything would go back together perfectly. They were on time each day and cleaned up at the end of each work day. They cleaned, de-glossed, primed, caulked, filled holes and sanded before applying 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Advanced Satin Enamel paint. At the end of the job, everything was back in place in the kitchen and the garage was back in order. The end result is beautiful. The color is exactly what I wanted. It coordinates with my quartz counters perfectly. I've gotten nothing but rave reviews and requests for his contact info.

After seeing the work Mark had done on 2 of our neighbors homes, we knew that he was the one we wanted to hire to do the work on our home. Mark is very easy to work with. He actually came out twice to give us a quote. The first time, 2 years ago, something came up and the funds dried up. So Mark came again and quoted. As he is in high demand in the busy season, we asked to be on his "sunny day" in Oct schedule and luckily we were able to get the job done this year rather than wait till next year. They take much care in the prep-work. Starting with pressure washing, masking windows, doors, concrete, brick, roof, etc. they scraped as needed, hand sanded, caulked windows, siding joints, corners, trim pieces, etc as needed. They primed bare and weathered wood as needed. They arrived on time and picked up after themselves at the end of each day. We went with a slightly darker tone in a similar color with darker trim so 2 coats of Sherwin Williams did the job. Rave reviews from all who care to comment.

Mark and his team are pros! Despite the fact that we had to work around a couple snowy days (our house is high up on top of a hill) the guys did great. Very carefully taped up all our brand new wood floors and also were great about untaping what they could in the evenings so we could more freely move around, cook, etc. Mark had shoulder surgery around the time of our job (and he did let us know about that well beforehand, which we appreciated) but his 2nd in command was great. Excellent communication all the way around. We will be calling him in the spring to paint a rental house we own. Cant recall what we paid exactly, I think between $8,000-9000?? His bid was close to all the other bids we got... and once we saw how much work went into the job we understood why it cost that much.

Great. Mark's crew showed up on time (actually, early), did the job quickly and professionally. Cleaned everything up at the end. Mark is easy to deal with, and his price was the best of the four I got. He also did garage door AND full siding paint jobs for two neighbors and these were similarly flawless.

Fine. Power washed front of house, came back the next day to do a detailed re-paint and re-stain of a complex area consisting of shingles, weathered wood accent sections, plaster areas and eaves. All had to be color-matched which Mark (owner) had done earlier. Mark’s two ace painters, Michael and Steven, were meticulous and their work was outstanding. The re-done areas look terrific and blend in perfectly with the original areas. Clean up was thorough.

Mark and his crew were on time and continued on our house until it was completely finished. At times, there were between two and four painters here, depending on other jobs. At no time did they leave us during the entire process to work on other painting projects they had scheduled. The painters were always professional, clean and neat and always cleaned up after the day was done. The attention to detail from the masking process to painting the trim was impressive. For our front porch which is cedar, we had them clean and restain it with an oil base stain. For our back deck, we had them use a product called Sharkskin, which is a solid color stain. We did this after fighting to keep the cedar deck clean and stained in past years. This maintenance for me got to be a losing battle, thus we went with the solid color stain and it looks fantastic. For our house, we used three colors, one for the main body and two for the trim. We have had so many compliments since everything is finished now. We couldn't be happier.

I could not be more pleased with the results and the people who did the work. They showed up when they said they would. The time and cost estimates were exactly right. The owner was very helpful and respectful. He came to our house and painted a section to see if we liked the color.....three times before we found a shade we liked. The workers were cheerful and courteous. There was no mess afterwards. A few weeks after the work was done, the owner contacted us and asked if there were any touchups needed.
