Our garage door was a total, ugly mess. Gross eyesore. After Mark's crew had finished their restoration, it looked like a piece of furniture. Neighbors are actually driving by, pointing at it, and nodding approvingly. Plus, they did two other doors in our 6-unit Abbey Wood community, and these doors look near identical to ours. Just a total upgrade to the curb appeal overall aesthetic. Everything about this company is professional. Everything. Mark, the owner, showed up exactly when he said he would for the estimate, explained the process from beginning-to-end as he was writing up his bid, answered a bunch of questions from myself and two neighbors who also wanted their doors restored, and gave us an approximate time frame for the job start (which he honored). In the interim, I had a couple of questions, and he go right back to me each time. Because all 3 doors were in such wretched shape due to a really shabby job by the previous contractor, the removal and sanding was a hugely labor-intensive project. Mark's crew, Michael and Steven, were absolutely terrific. Hard-working, even in two days of mid-90s heat and full sun exposure. They showed up early every day, started work immediately, answered any question we had and were always polite, friendly, professional. Moreover, they were both meticulous, taping every seam and edge, scraping and buffing, using toothbrushes to get the old varnish, and sanding, sanding, sanding??including about 2+ hours after I told them that, to me, the door already looked perfect. Apparently, not to them. "Nah, we still have a a little more detailing to do....be done pretty soon though." When the door was ready for the application of the new finish, it already looked brand new wood. Flawless. The color tint Mark/Michael/Steven decided on was New Cedar at it superbly complements the other wood and stone colors on our home. Mark's bid was the lowest of the three I had, and I can't imagine a better job than his crew did. The level of quality work and professionalism that we seem to always get with Angieslist contractors. Thanks, guys!

From the start to finish, Mark did a great job. He understood the urgency for completion of the work, since we were on a tight deadline before moving in to our new house, and came up with the right execution plan to get the job done. I also wanted to add that he took proper precautions to mask our newly installed hard-wood floors and carpet. Apart from giving free estimate, he also took time to meet with us few days before the job to put on our chosen sample colors on the walls, which was extremely helpful as we were busy with so many other things before moving. The quality of the job was top-notch and we are extremely happy with the work, and would highly recommend him.

Scheduling was a breeze through email and phone. Work always began on time and was very pleased with the experienced painters Mark set up to do the work. Work had to be done in stages due to drying time, but was completed on time and to our satisfaction. We need several other areas painted and decided to do them a section at a time and asked Mark for a bid. Ended up having them paint the entire entryway, downstairs hall, stairway, upstairs hall and all doors and trim. Outside, we had them paint the front door and upstairs shudders. Never had less than 4 men here getting the job done quickly. Rates were good and finished job looks great! Look forward to having them back to get the other areas done.

Jason did an excellent job especially with the edges where the wall meets the ceiling. The ceiling is coved at different angles rather than in a simple geometric shape, so the cutting in took a very steady hand and quite a bit of skill. The carpet and furniture was not touched at all by the paint, and the room looks fabulous! I was also impressed that Mark Powers checked in with us both before Jason began painting, and after he was finished to be sure everything went well. I would definitely use Mark Powers painting again. They were very professional and their work is impeccable.

He only sprays houses, no hand painting. I also had to pay for the paint. I was unaware of both of these and decided to not go with the deal. He was very nice and honest about the deal.

Our room needed to be primed and painted, including the ceiling. I was told to purchase 2 gallons of ceiling paint (only 1 was used), 2 gallons of color for the upper portion of the wall...above the chair rail (only 1 was used), and a gallon for the bottom portion (only 1/4 gallon was used). The painter also suggested I purchase 2 gallons of primer through him (only 1 was used). In all...we purchased too much paint. The painter wasn't able to complete the job because the ceiling paint was too wet and he couldn't trim/cut in at the ceiling. I was left to do that myself as well as apply the bottom color. I was able to finish the job by the following morning and it looks great. After all said and done, I'm happy with job. The room was a disgusting dark color...including the ceiling, and it would have taken us 3 times as long to complete the work. Only thing I'm mildly upset about is the amount of paint that was purchased and unused. **Update** Mark reached out to me and offered to pay for the gallon of primer purchased through him. I appreciate him trying to rectify the abundance of paint purchased.

Guys were great, efficient, clean. changed the brown trim to white and my 4 year old hasn't taken it off yet

I like Mark! He is really easy to work with, on time, and provides quality workmanship. I am thinking of hiring him again for my master bedroom.

It went well. Mark had some good suggestions on how to break up the colors amongst several rooms.

They did an excellant job. Mark is very prompt in returning phone calls and showed up when he said he would, and did what he said he would do. If more contractors performed like this he would have some stiff competition. We called three differant companies and he was the only one to call back in a reasonable amount of time so he got the job. I would gladly use him again and it worth what you pay.

As always, Mark and his crew did an excellent job. They are extremely professional, show up on time and clean up after the job is done. I will continue to use Mark as my painter of choice.

Mark and his crew did an excellent job. They did appropriate prep work, gave excellent suggestions, were punctual, completed the job on time, and did a great job of cleaning up when done. We would use Mark Powers in the future and would highly recommend him.

It went great. He was on time and professional and the cost came in on target. It's been over seven years since the painting and I inspected it this summer, considering a color change, but the paint still looks fantastic and I can't bring myself to have it redone just to change the color. I'll wait until it NEEDS it.

Mark and he team did a fantastic job. I have used Mark in the past for a prior home I own. He came out, was on time and gave me an immediate quote. He offered some suggestions, and assisted in helping pick out the colors for my deck once I had selected the colors for the exterior. I had to deal with HOA approvals on my color selection which took a significant amount of time, but Mark was very patient and once I received approvals, he was able to schedule my job immediately. He worked around meeting me with my difficult work schedule. The team arrived each day, and I saw progress from the first day with the amount of prep work done. The team took great care in the work they did and they even finished up a bit earlier than had originally thought. The painting done was great quality. And the end of each day, I came home and they had cleaned up after the work day. I will use Mark and his team in the future. He is great to work with, very professional and the prep and painting work his team does is high quality. I would highly recommend Mark and his team and I plan on using them again in the future.

He was fast to provide a quote, adding a few services on later did not cost a huge amount and he and his crew were fast and professional. They took care of taping, painting trim, filing holes and doing minor drywall repair as needed. The job was complete in a timely manner and was about half the cost of other quotes I received. I have already recommended him to others and will use his services in the future for other homes. It makes it not worth doing the work ourselves based on the cost and quality of the final product.

Very wonderful service and I highly recommend Mark Powers to anyone. Very attentive to detail. Helpful in picking colors. I felt cared about. Prompt and courteous, and done on time as promised. And the cost was very fair.

Mark Powers and his crew did an excellent job, and I would certainly hire them again. Very professional team. The areas painted had very high ceilings, and they did a perfect job with the paint edge between the walls and white ceiling.

Mark was very responsive in contacting me to discuss job. Mark did not have availability but scheduled Jason, his foreman to complete job. Two areas of mis-communication which were resolved to owner satisfaction. 1. I asked Mark for list of needed paint supplies which I purchased before work began. Unfortunately, Jason preferred to use some other products so I had to return several of the products for credit. 2. Wanted baseboard sprayed and Mark assumed it was to be brushed since already installed. I take responsibility for not stating "sprayed" during our phone conversation. "How" (spray vs brush) wasn't stated in written communication. Jason arrived and products and spray vs brush were discussed with Mark and resolved. Jason worked when he said he would. He was respectful of property and cleaned up area after his work each day. Quality job performed at a very affordable price and completed within desired timeframe. Would definitely recommend.

Mark and his crew are hard working and do an exceptional job. I tend to be a perfectionist and I'm happy with their attention to detail. The rooms look like new. Mark made sure we were completely satisfied. Some tape was stuck under the length of the baseboards and Mark came back the next day to scrape it out. The painting took longer than expected but they stayed to make sure the jobs were done right.

I was very pleased with the outcome of the job. Everything was done just as it was outlined in the contract. There were no surprises. Mark and the crew were very professional and friendly. They listened to my desires and answered my questions. Mark's input was valueable.

Because Mark did an excellent job on some interior painting for us earlier this spring, we guessed he would be equally skilled with exterior work. He was willing to come for a small job which is not always the case for good painters. Mark did excellent work! As before, he was careful to check what we needed done, helped us problem-solve questions we had re: recommended paint finishes, and completed the project is a timely manner. Our doors look better than they did when they were initially painted! We will certainly call Mark when we're ready to paint the full exterior of our home. Mark Powers is a painter who knows his craft.

The provider was prompt and efficient. He was concerned about one bathroom needing a second coat and asked my opinion. It looked totally fine to me. He finished the two bathrooms within the time specified for the "Deal" and gave me a good price to paint the hallway the next day. I appreciated the excellent cleanup afterwards. I would definitely use Mark Powers Painting again.

I had used Mark before, so naturally when I needed more painting done I gave him a call. He came over that day and we agreed on the work to be done and time schedule. He and his two assistants (Johnny & Jason) were are very competent, treated my house and belongings with respect and did a fabulous job prepping, painting and cleaning up. Mark did a magnificent job of matching the texture and color of paint when he repaired the ceiling cracks -- if fact, he did such a good job you'd never know there had been any cracks or repair job done. I give this team A+ in all categories.
