Keith did an exceptional job restoring our cedar deck. Our deck was weathered and looked old, but after Keith cleaned, sanded, and removed some staining, he applied a Sun Frog oil which has completely revitalized the deck and made the continuing maintenance very easy. I had Keith clean and apply Dark Teak Sunfrog oil to my deck. Oil is an easier method for deck maintenance and the teak color looks beautiful. Very happy with the job. Keith had the deck power washed and then sanded it prior to applying Sun Frog Oil. It took a while for him to be able to apply the oil with the cold wet weather we had been having. He kept me informed though on weather conditions and when he would likely be able to complete the job.

I support the benefit of Sunfrog Oil versus staining a deck (which is one of Keith's specialties). Every 3-4 years I just have Keith clean my deck and re-oil. No peeling stain forcing the need to sand the stain off. First time I used the cedar tone and this time I had him use dark teak. My deck will not rot as quickly this way. It looks great. Keith, using professional products and equipment, was able to deep clean my deck after I had tried. It is now down to the natural wood and gorgeous. Using a regular home power washer and my technique was not adequate.

Highly recommend Keith Strandberg! We hired him to strip our 850 sqft cedar deck of all the old stain, and treat it with the teak tinted Sunfrog oil. We wanted to switch to oil for its lower cost and ease of maintenance. We were tired of how much work it is to use deck stains, how quickly they deteriorate in the PNW climate, plus how expensive it is to have even mediocre professional deck surface maintenance. Sunfrog oil is local, eco-friendly, better for the health of the wood, and carpenter ants avoid it because it tastes nasty to them. Keith did a terrific job of stripping the deck and treating it with Sunfrog oil. He was in good communication with us every step of the way, worked with us on a payment plan, was very realistic with what we should expect given the age/state of our deck, and was very thorough with his work. He showed us how to keep the deck clean after stripping (while we waited for the weather to be right for the oil treatment) and showed us how to maintain our deck using an electric pressure washer. Keith also gave us tons of tips and advice on how, when, and what products/techniques to use to get the most life out of our deck. Can’t recommend him enough. Communication tip: Keith is not an email person. Do not use the contact request quote form! Instead, call him and leave a voicemail. When we called and left a message, he responded the same day and was great with both texting and phone calls after that.

I highly-recommend using Keith Strandberg for your upcoming fence or deck project. Recently, I chose Sun Frog product for him to apply in that it's primarily Oil-based with only a hint of cedar or mahogany color depending on which you choose. This keeps the wood from drying out over time. He just completed (May 9, 2020) the treating of the entire "solid-run" fence and gate that surrounds my home and I couldn't be more pleased. After two years, I've hired him to return in June for a maintenance clean and treat for very large deck as well. Keith knows wood. And, he knows the best products to use in order to get the best results with our PNW-Portland area climate. His estimates are fair and he communicated well. Keith keeps to his schedule and is on-time, every time. His project prep, care of surrounding hedges and plants, and total cleanup is remarkable and much appreciated.

The work he did was fantastic, He was so efficient, did not touch the house with anything, and even sanded underneath the benches. Everything was so smooth and he did a perfect job. I would highly recommend him to anyone and I will definitely hire him again.

Keith is the consumate professional. He explained the benefits of using oil on my deck clearly (instead of stain or paint). He cleaned off the years of dirt and mold and treated my deck with oil. The deck is beautiful with the natural wood coming through. Although he is not the least expensive, he does very good work using a process that requires many trips and waiting for weather conditions to be "just right". He was very willing to educate me on deck maintenance and showed me how to use the powerwasher so I can start doing my own deck maintenance. He shows up when he says he will and stays in touch throughout the process. I would certainly hire him again.

Keith was as per his usual, wonderful to work with. He is creative in his solutions for repairing and maintaining decks and his pricing is very fair. This year, he stained the deck and it is stunning. We will be continuing to use him as the deck requires work and/or maintenance. He has also provided information on how to care for the deck so that it lasts for another 20 years.

This is the second year in a row that Keith has worked on my deck to extend the longevity. The project will be completed next Summer. Keith has been amazingly responsive and provided more than one option for what to do with my deck. We had put a deck paint on the deck which lead to dry rot and rather than recommend replacing the whole deck, Keith has replaced the few dry rotted boards and used a paint remover that has lifted the majority of the paint. As a result, my deck will not need to be replaced which has made me extremely happy.

Keith was honest with his assessment and willing to be flexible with the job. He was punctual and efficient. He took an interest in our job and gave us good information on further care of our deck.

Keith strip and refinish the deck using sun frog oil products. He came when he said he would, he's very timely, and it came up better than I have hope. He clean up meticulously. He did a fabulous job. He really does what he said he will and he did it beautifully.

Keith did a phenomenal job of assessing the quality of my deck; and giving me several options from replacing the whole deck through replacing boards over time to extend the life of the deck. He also provided great detail on the quality of the existing deck boards and structural support. I was given some great detail on why painting the deck versus staining the deck; which is better for the wood (stain); and how to repair it over time so avert a complete deck replacement.

What we had on previously on our deck was that deck product advertise on tv. When its time to change the color and is chipping real bad, its impossible to remove. He blasted and blasted it, and scrapped it. It was an whole ordeal.He said anyone that wants to redo their deck, no not use that product. It was down to the bare wood. It took a week to clean it up before he could put the new product on. All day. The price was really reasonable considering all the work he had done. I almost felt like I should have paid him more. I know I couldn't have done it. We had a couple of hit and miss messages, but when we finally got a hold of him, he scheduled us right away. Is a question of if he wants to do it again. We used an product for decks, and it was advertised with bare feet running across. It was horrible to get out. He went above and beyond. He put us in contact to have someone build us some benches along our deck.

The results are incredible! The deck / porch was in very poor condition, it had not been cleaned or stained in over 6 years. Keith used an environmentally friendly, specially engineered stain remover and then cleaned the deck with very low water pressure. He then sanded and rinsed the porch. Couple of days later when the porch was completely dried he applied the Sun Frog Sealer. It looks amazing! His diligence and attention detail was clearly demonstrated by the extra care and steps he took to make sure the old stubborn stain was removed. Keith kept in constant communication and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the job. He also provided us with instructions on how to keep it clean and maintained in-between re-oiling. The cost was very reasonable considering the cost of the product used and the QUALITY of the job. We are extremely happy with the service and results.

This was a difficult job as the previous stain was very difficult to remove. Keith worked diligently to first assess the work and then gave options just in case the prior product could not be totally removed. In the end, he was able to strip the old product, replace a few boards, and then apply the Sun Frog sealer. Keith was very attentive and kept in constant communication. He was prompt and provided excellent service. We were very satisfied with the results.

I went to Keith for an estimate on finishing my large back deck. It runs the length of the house and varies from 8 to 13 feet deep. He gave me two estimates that were dependent on the finishes used. I went with the more expensive option due to previous experience with the product, Sun Frog. Keith was prompt and very courteous. He notified me when he was coming out to work. Since the application of the finish was weather dependent, part of the work ended up being done while I was out of town. Keith kept me updated on his progress with text messages and pictures while I was gone. Keith did an excellent job and I am very happy with the way the deck looks now. Keith is passionate about deck maintenance. He told me what to use to clean the deck, where to buy it, and then he demonstrated how to do the cleaning. He also wrote it all down, so I could not forget. My overall experience was just fantastic

composition roof leak and Keith been in business for a long time all of his license matched for how long he been in, he knows what he is doing Keith located the leak and fix it, I have to pay more compared to somebody else but I wanted a good job and fixed one time not like some roofers have to come back two or three time to fix it.
