JOE'S PAINTING

Joe and his crew were wonderful to work with and eager to please. He quoted prices for painting the cabinets, refinishing in the same color, and refinishing with a different color. He explained the refinishing process very well and once we decided on a stain he made two samples (dark mahogany with a satin and semi-gloss finish) using old drawer faces from a desk that we removed from the kitchen. Joe's crew covered everything that wasn't being refinished (windows, furniture and other items, floors, countertops, etc) since they use a sprayer instead of a brush. They sanded, stained, sealed and finished the cabinets over a two week time period. Clifford did most of the spraying and did a wonderful job! During that time we remained in our house except for 3 nights spent at a hotel; we probably didn't need to stay the third night. Despite all the floor coverings there were two lacquer spots that got through onto our newly refinished oak floors. When we told Joe about the spots he immediately said that we should call our flooring company and have them refinish those spots at his expense. We are extremely pleased with our refinished cabinets and highly recommend Joe's Painting for cabinet refinishing.

We started painting the basement ourselves and did fine with the walls. However, the ceiling was beyond our ability because of the texture that had been applied. Joe came over, gave us a quote and explained what we could do as far as prep work to keep the price lower since cost was an issue for us. He was friendly and easy to work with. The job was terrific and mess free. We then had him do some exterior painting. Once again he was great. We didn't know about this site and looked him up on the Oregon contractor's board site. He has been licensed with not a single complaint since 1986! No wonder he was so great!
