Description of Work: We have a few large trees in our yard that needed care and were too tall for us to manage. Then during a mild windstorm a very large Sweetgum placed between our home and our neighbors began to drop limbs. Unfortunately, that tree was beyond care and needed to be taken down. | |J and F Tree Service did a great job in downing the tree (carefully), cleaning up the debris, grinding the stump and trimming a couple of our other large trees.

Description of Work: The company was responsive. They never did schedule any time but instead showed up without communicating. Tree removal was quick and efficient. Had grinding done also to put in a new sidewalk. I was told they ground down 16". Concrete guy came in and charged me more money to take out roots that were 1/2 that deep. Called and left a message with J & F but no call back.

Description of Work: Remove 12 fir trees and deep grind all stumps. They have the right equipment and professional employees to get the job done . They did this job in timely manner. They had to remove a section of fence to get the trees out. When they put the fence back, extra effort was made to do it right

Description of Work: Had a tree that a large limb broke off in the wind storm and landed in the neighbors yard. Even though they were overwhelmed with all of the calls for service they managed to come out and remove the limb and debris from the neighbors yard and also cut down the whole tree. Great job by everyone from J & F.

Description of Work: We needed to have a 32 foot Douglas Fir cut down that was in our neighbor's yard but on our property line. The tree was in close quarters and threatening our fence and garden. John promptly came to give a bid. He was very thorough, helpful, and professional but his price was more than double the amount of the company that we ultimately chose to do the work. I feel confident that J&F would have done a good job but I couldn't justify the extra cost.

Description of Work: They cut down a medium sized tree and 6 large bushes and ground all of the stump below ground level. |It all went very well, but they did leave a small mess when they were done.

Description of Work: The only thing that gives J&F a "B" rating was: their price compared to the other bids. Very professional, very responsive, an excellent customer service based approach, Their bid for the work was just a little high.. There is no reason I would hesitate to give J&F a chance for any future work we might need if they are interested.

Description of Work: Limb came down during ice storm onto neighbors roof. Called them and they were there within hour. Even though neighbor was a jerk and refused to file an insurance claim to pay them, they were polite and professional.

Description of Work: We had a great experience with J and F. They were attentive and professional at all times. The job was bigger than they initially anticipated but they kept to the estimate. They had the large equipment and man power needed for our job. I would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: We needed some trees trimmed which were located on neighbor's property. Neighbor wanted a certified arborist so we contacted J and F Tree Service. John came out and gave us a good quote for the trees and some additional work we needed. He also came back on Saturday to meet the neighbor and explain how much they would cut and why. The crew came out a few days later and did a great job. They were done by noon and cleaned everything up.

Description of Work: I just bought this house on a big lot back then. the property was not taken care of for long time and it was a big mess. I found this company on angies list and called. Maybe it was my luck that they did not have much too do that week. they were able to come the second day and gave the property a complete "sweep", i.e. they cut down 4 trees, trimed the rest of trees which was a bunch, removed whole lot of bushes, taken out tree roots that left in the ground for long time... the scope of the project was not posssible to be entirely clear before they started the job since no way you can tell exactly what was on the property with bushes and everything... but the owner was reasonable when I asked him to add a few items to the project once they started and I was able to see better of the property.
