I take my car into these guys every year in August for the major top to bottom detailing. The price may seem high but they do an amazing job. I recently totaled my car in an accident. The adjuster when pricing my car out said everytime he opened a door he raised the estimate as he had never seen a car 10 years old look this good. If I had traded it in with +100K miles I would have gotten $6-7K at best. The estimate on KBB etc. was around $9-10K. The payout was $12K. Obviously not completely due to Fresh Start but the work they had done the past 3-4 years annually definitely increased the value of my payout making the whole thing less painful. I will be taking my new car their as well.

It looked like brand new. The price quoted was more than we had anticipated before going to them, but we agreed to it & they did a great job & I would definitely go back.

I don't remember the actual cost. They put on sealant on my new car and upholstery protectant.

I been taking my car to fresh start detailing for years. on august 8th 2013 I took my motorhome into have a wash and wax, when I got there I noticed someone using something that water was coming out of I asked Jason if it was a water deionizer, he said no it was a water softener. so long story short.. I went to pickup my motorhome and I noticed bug stains on the front ( I have a clear bra on the front of the motorhome ) I pointed this out to Jason, he got out a rag and some wax and started cleaning off the stains, about 20 minutes worth, my front windshield had water spots everywhere, he got a ladder and cleaned that. I noticed the refrigerator vent had not been waxed, he then waxed the vent , I then took the motorhome back home, I parked it undercover where it's been parked since I bought it new. The next morning I was walking around it and noticed water spots all over both sides along with some dried on pitch. I called Jason asap and told him, he said bring it back in, at that time I was packing for a 3 week long trip, and he knew that I was leaving that next morning, I didn't have time to take it back in. I asked him how does someone wax something and the water spots still show, I told him I could put my finger on the spots and they would wipe right off. He then said are you calling me a liar for not waxing the sides, I said no. I left on my trip, when I got home I went to Jason shop, I told him I wanted to look him in the face when I called him a liar and thief for not waxing the sides, I told him I would like three hundred dollars back for not waxing the sides, he laughed and said that will never happen, I told him the reason I knew the sides were never waxed was they used a water softener that will leave water spots as a water deionizer won't, I know because I own a water deionizer. At that point Jason told me to get the h*** out of his shop, he no longer wanted to talk, how can someone treat a loyal customer for years like that, and what a way to run a business. there's a ton of detail shops out there with the same quality of work if not better than fresh start detailing at a fraction of the cost. I can't believe it took me this long to figure that out, I wonder how many other customers out there have had a run in with Jason and just don't do anything. the sides of the motorhome looked great when I took it in because it's always under cover when not in use, I'm sure Jason took this into consideration. the water softener gave me the tell- tail clues that the sides were not waxed, and the refrigerator vent not being waxed was another clue. I'm sure Jason will respond to any bad review to defend himself, as I see he has done in the past. What a waste of $700.00 Beware of fresh start detailing.

See answer above. My biggest concern is that they do not fix small dents/paint scratches, nor do they make recommendations to keep our cars in great shape. If I hear of a great shop I will try thjem, especially if downtown Portland where I live.

I dropped the car off in the morning and it was ready to go by 5 as promised. Everything was amazingly clean, including the floor mats which were filthy when I brought the car in.

They were a little bit more detailed than I had expected but then I did ask for a detailed cleaning. All kitchen appliances were detailed including removal of scum in the micro-wave as well as the oven. The faucets in the bathroom didn't have a green reaction (mold) since. They usually do after I clean them! Overall I think that they did do a superior job!

They cleaned the inside and outside of our vehicle. They did a thorough detailing job. They do an excellent job but I just found someone else who is a little cheaper.

They never disappointed me. The car always looked great. I kept my Subaru for over 14 years & nobody could believe how old it was. I still have the Audi & it is now 13 years old & looks like it just came off the showroom. We take good care of our cars & have them detailed every year. We have used about 3 different providers for the detailing because going way back the original owners First Start Detail sold the business to someone else. I wasn't very happy with them, and I was thrilled when the original owners bought the business back again. They always did a great job, and getting a ride home was never a problem. When the car was done it was delivered to my door. This was several years ago so I don't know if they still offer this service. I stopped using them because my Subaru dealer offered the same service for slightly less money and could get the job done while other work was being done. They were also willing to detail my Audi. Now that I don't have my Subaru I may bring my Audi back to them again. My new car has a special protection on it & has to be serviced by the dealer, so it won't be going to First Start Detail. I can't honestly say what their current service or pricing is because it has been 7 years since I have been there. But I would definitely be willing to try them again.

We had spilled raspberry juice on a leather car seat. We cleaned it as quick as we could but a red stain remained on a tan leather seat. Jason said bring it in and he would give it a try. I took it in and he worked his magic and the seat is clean like it never happened. I also asked him to give his best to try and clean a floor mat that looked like it was ready to throw away. He was able to make it very presentable and it is back in the car. I am very pleased with their work and will likely take in our cars when we are ready for a full "detail" job. If these spot jobs are any indication, the cars will look great when they are done.

Would not hire again because we have moved out of their service area.

It was okay. They took me on time. There was nothing really stand out to make me want to come back.

It was great. When we called to ask a question they were not the most responsive. It could be that they are just a small company, but the quality of the service was great.

They did a great job. They did exactly what they said they were going to do.The cost and timing was good. The engine especially looked brand new. I was impressed with the service and I would recommend them to anyone. The price was right in line compared to other bids I received. Everything about the service was good. The main person we dealt with answered all of our questions and explained exactly what they were going to do.

My husband had a very expensive switch blade that he lost. Those guys found it in the truck when they detailed the truck and set it out for us to find. They did not take it and we were thrilled. They did a fantastic job and made it look brand new again. I told them I had shopping to do so they gave me the key to their BMW to use .

They did a great and thorough job. I was satisfied with the work and the price. They gave me loner car to use while they worked on my car.
