Excellence Plumbing completed two previous jobs for our homes so I decided to call them again for this toilet replacement. Oscar and his crew arrived 15 minutes early and promptly began working. They completed the job in less than an hour and he gave us a 10% discount because of our Angie's List membership. Oscar have always been prompt, polite and thorough in the work he and his crew has done for us. His company is at the top of my list for any of my plumbing needs.

Description of Work: I called them out to fix a few things. He found things that wouldn't pass code due to me selling the house. He fixed leaky faucets, he fixed some remodeling of the plumbing.

 + -1 moreOn the morning of the 4th of July the Fill Valve to my only toilet broke, so the water had to be turned off at the wall. Because it was a holiday I tried to do it myself. 5 hours and 4 trips to various hardware stores later, I still had a broken toilet. Excellence answered their phone at 7:30 on 7/5. While they weren't working, she did put out a call, and Oscar agreed to juggle his schedule and met me. He had it fixed within 20 minutes, was super polite and helpful. It made me feel better when he also couldn't get the part I had purchased to work!

They have caught and fixed several leftover issues from the previous owner and are always sincere about work that needs to be done as well as pricing. Very trustworthy!  + 0 moreEverything went great. Oscar said the clog was really tough to break through but he cleared it. I have an old house and it looks like the plumbing has been modified over the decades, and not all in a good way. Oscar recognized this immediately. I ran the machine to make sure everything was in working order before he left. I was also having a minor problem with a toilet; the flush wasn't powerful enough. Oscar made an adjustment inside the tank and it's good to go. If you need to call a plumber, chances are there's something wrong that needs fixing so you're not happy about it. Oscar made this the best of a bad situation and did so with a friendly smile, professional attitude, and explained everything. He knew exactly what he was doing and has years of expertise. I highly recommend Excellence Plumbing, LLC.
Description of Work: Oscar was early for my appointment to check on plumbing connected to my washing machine. It was leaking and causing damage to the floor in the basement. He quickly discerned that the problem was a clog in the pipes and set to work clearing it.

His crew was out the very next day and were every bit as proffesional and personable as Oscar. The job was done quickly and for the price quoted. We were able to use the plumbing again that day.  + -1 moreWe are new to the west coast and our home came with American home shield- when I called home shield to get a plumber out today as the leak was in the kitchen sink and it is a holiday weekend, their response was we can get someone out next week - tuesday or wednesday. Despite my explanations they refused to provide any extra follow up to get someone out on the same day. I looked up on Angies list and found this company and they were responsive to the needs of their customer, despite time restraints; Shelley was great and someone came in to address the kitchen sink that afternoon as well as taking care of my other plumbing. The person that came in was excellent, professional and did not over charge!!! I will totally use this company for all my house hold needs.
Description of Work: Unanticipated leak in kitchen sink- unable to use sink as water going everywhere- in addition had him check shower heads and toilet running as long as he was coming.

 + -1 moreThey came out and took a look. Was punctual and nice. Sent a bid in a quick amount of time. Good follow up. Price was pretty expensive, but probably mid/high range of going rate. We just didn't actually need it replaced, one plumber recommended we have it repaired. I think they should have at least mentioned this option to us, but only one of 4 that I called did. If we need actual plumbing in the future I would consider calling them again, since they handled in a professional manner.
Description of Work: Gave us a bid for replacing a fiberglass shower. The floor of the old one was cracked.

 + -1 moreExcellence Plumbing was Excellent! Their price was very reasonable, and the best of three quotes we got. Oscar was professional, polite, and a delight to work with. He and his team worked non-stop until the project was complete, and went above and beyond. He even offered tips for us on the parts of the project we did not hire him for. Our whole project consisted of removing walls, an old tiny single shower, and replacing it with a larger shower, which required moving the pipe stacks and drains. It was a large project and we hired out the parts we did not feel comfortable performing ourselves. So glad we went with Excellence Plumbing. Very positive experience and we will definitely hire them again for future projects.

 + -1 moreThe hot water heater in my home bit the dust after 24 years (yes 24 years). I called Excellence Plumbing expecting to get a voice message as it was early in the morning (7:25am) and I was really surprised that Shelly answered the phone. She was very helpful in answering my questions regarding the water heater and what she did not know she found out through the techs and called me back with the answers. Anyway, in less than 6 hours Excellence Plumbing was installing a new quality water heater at a price other plumbing businesses could not match, there were a couple of competitors who could not quote me until the following week.... Excellence Plumbing went above and beyond "excellence"! Thank you Oscar and Shelly for great service, and Justin thank you for teaching me your trade throughout the installation.

Tore out the old bathroom, put down new plywood sub floor, installed new shower shell, plumbing, toilet, hardware and flooring and drywall. Cleaned up everyday. We love the work done.
Description of Work: What a great experience! We have been thinking about redoing our small master bath pocket bathroom for a couple of years. We interviewed 10 other plumber/remodelers before we found Oscar at Excellence. The other companies all wanted to push us into tile which we didn't want. Oscar found us the exact type of shower shell, toilet and hardware we wanted at a very competitive price. He also installed new flooring and trim.  + 0 moreThe waterlines in our home were the old galavanized lines that were so corroded that the flow at the faucets and showerheads was really bad. Excellence Plumbing has been at our home two or three times in the past for repairs and we knew it was inevitable that a full replacement was coming. Oscar and Solheil did an excellent job of removing the old hot and cold water lines, including the outdoor faucets and replacing them with new WRSBO lines. The volume at our showerheads and faucets is fantastic now! We also had a new hot water heater installed and they hauled the old one away. It's so nice to have hot water at the shower so quickly now and no more rust particles blocking up the lines. Oscar is easy to get along with, reasonably priced and responds very quickly to your needs. We know we can count on him and Soheil to do a good job and hopefully won't have anymore plumbing problems, but if we do, we'll call Oscar!

 + -1 moreI was very happy with the work performed and when he gave me an estimate (before work was performed) I should have questioned it then because it was so high. I could have spent half that much by calling Roto Rooter! I don't feel that the price charged was a fair price. The garbage disposal I bought from them was a higher end one that, according to Google, was around $250. I also purchased the biological cleaner for around $50. That means that I spent over $300 for just installing the disposal and cleaning one drain...way more than I have ever spent in the past. He wasn't even in my house but an hour or so. $300 an hour???

 + 0 moreFrom start to finish, Excellence Plumbing is the favorite contractor I work with. They are reasonably priced, easy to work with and very pleasant. I'm so happy I chose to call them originally.
Description of Work: I have been working with Excellence Plumbing since I first contacted them to help repair a water heater in 2011. Oscar and Shelly have been great and are super responsive, always show up for scheduled appointments and I feel are competitively priced. I have referred them to friends who have been very satisfied with their work. Work done for me from July 2011 to Jan 2013 1. Repair of hot water heater (Excellence recommended I replace, I chose not to do that) 2. Repair hot water line to washer, install laundry sink plumbing 3. Emergency reset for hot water heater (tenants) 4. Replace water heater (He told me 'Jerri, it is time', don't spend any more money having me come out to reset and repair) Oscar orignally recommended to me that I replace the hot water heater, but said he could make the necessary safety repairs if I chose (called out by my home inspection when I purchased). It lasted another 18 months, but after the 2nd emergency call from my tenants (same day response!), he called me and let me know I really should replace it. I finally took his advice. For the hot water line repair, he provided me an estimate and although it turned out to be more complex than he originally expected, and I had two people there for 4 hours he stuck to his original estimate! He always has a smile on his face and is very pleasant to work with. They removed drywall and we agreed prior that my handman would repair the drywall, but they cut it off cleanly and did a nice job of cleanup afterwards.

 + -1 moreI discovered a water leak next to my driveway, so I called Excellence Plumbing. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time and determined it was a break in my main water line. They were extremely efficient in coordinating the underground locates, the underground excavation, the installation of the new water line, and the City inspection. Oscar, the owner, and his plumbers on the job were extremely pleasant and very diligent and conscientious. After the main task was done, they thoroughly cleaned my sidewalk and driveway and restored my landscape to its original condition. They did an outstanding job! I would definitely call them again.

Figured out the sink issue and gave us different options for permanent fixes -- even showed me how to clear a simple drain clog myself! We've now booked Excellence again to come out and replace the bathroom sink, plus install a new garbage disposal. Would definitely recommend this provider to friends and use them myself for future plumbing needs.
