Dr Roof

Jason arrived as scheduled and promptly went to work. I had a few questions about the shake replacements and cleaning solution which he answered quite professionally. I have used Dr Roof before and will use again if the need arises.

We use Dr. Roof for our roof maintenance and gutter cleaning. He treats our roof for moss, and we have them out to clean gutters twice a year. We have had a couple leaks in an outbuilding vent which he fixed promptly and at a fair price. Dana, the owner, is a very nice guy and always responds to our needs in a reasonable time frame. We have a couple outbuildings and an old 2 story home with a steep roof... his gutter cleaning price is so reasonable that we would never consider cleaning the gutters ourselves. They always clean up after themselves. Highly recommended!

Jason and Alex were here over the course of two days. They were professional, left the jobsite clean and did a great job on our 20+ year old roof. We could not have been happier with their work or the way they handled themselves despite running into unexpected complications. Dana (the owner) communicated before, during and after the job and we could not speak more highly of him or his crew.

It went very smoothly. Dana give me a very reasonable quote and answered all my questions. Jason and another guy did an excellent job to perform the tasks mentioned above. And they have five year warrantee to re-treat of any moss in 5 years. I'm very satisfied with the services provided by Dr Roof and recommend to my friends and neighbors.

Dana, performed repairs and provided a 5 year certification on our cedar shake roof when we bought our house in 2009. After being relocated, we brought him back out to give us a quote on performing any repairs,cleaning/sealing that needed to take place in order to sell our house. He provided fast and professional service. The buyers opted not to have us complete the repairs. But, I would use Dr. Roof again and would certainlly recommend them!

This was a great experience. I've been using Dr. Roof for a number of years and have never been disappointed. Because my 1978 house has cedar shingles, many roofing companies do not handle this type of work, but I can always count on Dana. He also stands by his work. I have him do a general check-up of the roof once or twice a year, replacing any missing or cracked shingles, and I can always count on him to promptly respond to any problems that arise. He is always prompt and professional. For the current work (replacing a section of roofing), Dana's assistant also made sure he cleaned up all debris before leaving. The prices are always great, and I plan to continue using this company for future work.

They were pretty busy but did the job over a few days over a few weeks. The weather changed and they had a number of jobs. Cleaned the roof the first visit and replaced some shingles. Replaced additional shingles the second visit and the final visit they cleaned the skylights and applied the anti moss spray. The weather was nice when they applied the anti moss spray but later in the day it rained quite heavily. I was a little concerned that the spray did not have enought time to dry and be effective but dr roof said that it should be fine. They guarentee that the roof should stay moss free for 5 years so we will see what it looks like in year 5.

Exceeded my expectations and solved a problem area on the roof that was difficult. Honest and cares about his customer.

They are always busy and it took me some time to have an appointment but with regards to their service, I am satisfied with it. I would still use them in the future, I just have to schedule an appointment.

After using Dr. Roof on three different houses, I think of him as the and quot;go toand quot; roofer. He has done repairs, partial roof replacements on cedar shake, new gutters, gutter and roof cleaning. The current house had a leak that was defying the recommended company for working on tile roofs. Dana assessed it and gave two potential areas that could cause issues depending on the direction of the rain and wind. One was the chimney where he gave a recommendation for a reliable chimney company and the other was the area where the newer composition roof met the older tile roof, where the joint had been installed in the wrong direction by whoever installed it when the addition was put on. m He remedied the problem and then cleaned the mossy tile roof and cleaned out the gutters, protected with his gutter guards. All work was done well. Dana can get a little busy, but he and his crew always come through and do a great, economical job. I recommend his company whole-heartedly

They showed up when they said they would, did an excellent job. We originally were just looking for someone to clean the roof, but all four companies who gave us estimates told us we needed some repairs. This is the first time we used them, but we would use them again.

I had a long-standing problem with a roof leak and I was hesitant about who to hire. I received about 4 quotes and was not confident in all the roof companies that came out to estimate the cost of the work. In fact, to my suprise one company was already on my roof before I got home from work which left me feeling very uneasy about this process. Fortunately, I happened upon Dr. Roof. Dana came promptly to my house to assess the problem, gave me a bid , and the clearly explained the problem and how it would be fixed.His professionalism, clarity, and honesty was refreshing and I had confidence that Dr. Roof would perform the work. Dana guaranteed his workmenship. The problem was fixed on time and Dana came back to fix a follow up problem. I appreciate the honesty and intergrety of Dr. Roof company and would highly recommend their services.

I have always had a really good technician who is very careful and cleans the roof and gutters well. He also cleans up very well. He makes sure he doesn't do any damage to the roof. It's easy to get an appointment and they are always reliable.

They have repaired and treated our Cedar shake roof three times over the 11 years since we have owned our house. They first replace any shakes which have deteriorated. Then they do not pressure wash which damages the roof, but spray an agent which kills the moss and allows the moss to be washed away in the rain, which leaves the roof after a few months with an attractively clean and light gray appearance. Their work has been keeping our roof in good condition since we purchased our house. When a relative's house with asphalt shingles received insurance notification that their property insurance was cancelled due to the roof condition, I asked Dana at Dr. Roof to clean and treat that roof. Because the house was to be marketed, we could not wait to have the moss eliminated over several months. Dana immediately gave us an estimate, and moved us ahead on his schedule so that the roof was cleaned and treated within a week and able to be marketed. They swept the moss from the roof and sprayed it. It looked great. The chimney still was covered with lichen, and I mentioned it to Dana. The next time I saw the house, they had cleaned/treated the roof and the chimney looked great. I really appreciate the excellent and prompt manner in which they took care of this project.

Dana is very responsive, albeit busy, so it may take a day or two for him to get back to you. However, he even came back for free after the winter weather caused some new leaks.

Dana from Dr. Roof came by to inspect our roof and gave us a bid for $3050 for cleaning, repairing, and treating. The following week Jason cleaned the roof with the air compressor, replaced 1 bundle of roof shake and 1 bundle of roof ridge shake, and treated the roof with Guardian Roof Cleaner. They were prompt and efficient. I especially like their method of cleaning, which is gentle to the shakes and lets the rain was off the remaining moss slowly, with the roof gradually turning a light gray. The actual cost was $2215, as they needed fewer shakes than they thought they might (they had estimated a range of 1-3 bundles each). They came by a little over a year later, on 2/11/10, to air clean debris ($400). I had also used Dr. Roof previously on another house's roof, where they always did great repair and cleaning. They also came out immediately when I had a roof leak due to squirrels eating through the shake and took care of the problem. I recommend them very highly

On time, explained in detail the process. Worked for over 2 hours solid. And cleaned up very well. Exceeded expectations.

Angie's List was a big help in locating firms to do the work. Based on reviews posted to Angie's List, we solicited estimates from three highly rated West Side firms. All three firms were very responsive, and we received estimates within a few days. We selected Dr. Roof because their explanation of the work to be performed and the associated costs seemed reasonable to us. Dr. Roof did not give us the lowest estimate nor the highest. We decided not to use the lowest estimated because they power washed the composite roof before applying the moss treatment whereas Dr. Roof and the higher estimate hand brushed the roof before applying the moss treatment. I talked with Dana, the owner, a couple of times over the phone to set a date for the work. We asked that the work be completed before May 19. Dana adjusted their schedule to assure the work was completed before our requested date. Dr. Roof arrived on time and completed the work quickly and efficiently. Jason, who did a majority of the work, was professional in his approach and answered any questions we had at the time the work was being done. Jason was careful to clean up all the the brushed moss from around the house. All in all, it was a very good experience.

Dana was extremely responsive. Although it took several weeks for them to arrive due to June's bad weather, I was always kept informed of the delay. We needed a replacement tile and Dana had to get it from another company, but it was replaced very quickly after the initial work was done. I was very impressed! And the final price was less than the original bid, which was very competitive. I will use Dr. Roof in the future for all my roofing needs.

We thought it was time for a new roof; we were talking with our neighbors and the suggested we talk with Dr. Roof first. We did. They estimated that by spending the $2,000 now we'd be able to extend our roof life by at least 5 years. Very happy with them.
