Description of Work: We met for a quote on a deck addition to my house. The contractor I met seemed kind of rude, and in the end the price seemed way too high for the project I wanted done. I went with a different company.

Description of Work: They re-did the fence line on one side of our home.

Description of Work: Daniels son came out to look at the deck project told us approx. what the cost would be and told us he,d email the bid in the next 2 days. Never heard from him again. I do not call service providers back on issues like this and have gone with another and could not be happier at present. Do not know what their work quality is but if this is an indication of it look elsewhere.

Description of Work: We called him to get an estimate on a straight cyclone fence. He came, was corteous, measured the distrance and promised to call us back "after summer" with the estimate. No call yet. He either forgot it or our project was not big enough!!!

Description of Work: Tear-down & replaced existing cedar fence around home. Work performed quickly w/ excellent results. Neighbors on both sides of our home were so impressed by the quality & price, that they had the same work done by this company. |Great people to work with & have my recommendation to anyone.

Description of Work: Daniel kept an appointment to determine the scope of a fencing project and said he would have a written proposal within two weeks. We never heard from him again. I would have given him a better rating if he had bothered to call, email or send a message stating he wasn't interested in our project. But he did nothing but waste our time.

Description of Work: Daniels extended an existing fence approx 30 feet. He duplicated a rather complicated design very well with high quality materials and workmanship. Although the project had to be rescheduled a couple of times (minor annoyance), the changes were communicated in a timely fashion.

Description of Work: Had Daniel's fence come out to bid a very small project (installing 8' of 4' high cyclone fence w. a gate). The estimator from Daniels avoided answering my question about a minimum charge to complete the work, until I balked at the number he gave me which was 850$ (300$ more than two other companies I had contacted to bid the job.) When I questioned him about this figure he indicated that they would need to weld some components of the fence and that if the other bids had not included this the work would be inferior and would not last. Additionally, he indicated that no one in the area would be able to match my ballpark price until NEXT JANUARY, when work will slow down and they can do the job for less. I did not wait for his written evaluation, told him we'd be using someone else and just left amazed at the amount of misinformation this person had given me. Perhaps on larger jobs this is a good company to choose, but my experience with this estimator left a great deal to be desired.

The primary fence and main gates went in over three or four days with some weather delays. The final gate went in a few weeks later because of some communication problems (see below) and more weather. | |The fence itself is good, and when I was on site Daniel was very professional and listened to my needs. There were some minor clean up issues (workers left some lunch garbage and nail gun cartridges lying around), and the work hours were not 9-5. Several days they started at 10 or 11 and were on site until 7 or 8, which annoyed the neighbors. | |I also requested a dog-proof fence, and my dogs do not find it a significant barrier right now, I'm going to have to retrofit to counter their terrier terrorism. I Don't know if it's fair to lay that all on Daniel, but I was specific about it being dog-proof and in some areas the bottom of the fence seemed needlessly gappy. | |The one genuine complaint I don't feel the need to qualify is that Daniel uses the Angie's list messaging system exclusively to communicate with customers, rather than directly by email. I missed several communications with him, and having to log into the Angie's List app to follow up adds a significant level of pain and delay to the process, which seems needless. It is inconvenient and frustrating for me as a customer and resulted in delays. It's also a simple fix in 2015, and should be remedied. | |Overall, I think Daniel does good work and took the job when several others didn't even bother to call me back. He has a system that works for him and gets the job done. | |Give him a call.

Description of Work: Dan and his crew built a new deck for us, replacing our old rotting one. They worked well with us, not getting flustered or upset when we made several significant changes. There were some hold-ups with materials, but that wasn't their fault. They weren't the least expensive, but they showed up when they said they would, worked hard, and have produced a beautiful and very solid piece of work. There were a few times when we would have appreciated getting hold of Dan more readily, but over all, communication was pretty good. I would use their services again.

Description of Work: at first-could not get company to respond...finally sent them complaints along with a description of job...many days later got a seriously high bid, said they weren't sure if they even service area, then we requested & got a refund....what a colossal waste of time, when we had none to spare---

Description of Work: This is relating to the coupon offer on Angie's List. There was a confusion with whether I had to purchase the coupon or if it was an automatic deal for Angie's List customers. Angie's List rep was unable to answer the question but Daniel wrote back promptly & answered all questions.

Description of Work: We tried to get a quote from Daniel for a fence in our front yard. He was great to deal with on the front end. He was running a little late from another estimate he was working on, but he called to let us know. He came over, spoke with my husband about what we wanted to do. He was a good listener, had good ideas. Then we didn't hear from him. After about a week we sent an email. No response. A week after that I called him. He said he wasn't in his office and didn't have the information, but that he would get back to me as soon as he could. It has been another week now and we have still heard nothing. It's too bad, because he started very strong and we were eager to move forward with him. It sounds like he is very busy, in which case, it would have been great if he even said - I can't do this work right now. We could then have chosen to wait or try to find another person.

Description of Work: Daniel's Custom Fence, Deck and Construction removed our old fence and then installed and stained a six foot picture frame overlap cedar fence with copper post caps for us in our backyard and side yard.
