From the initial meeting to examine the shower stall, Tibor was the best first impression of any contractor that stopped by. He was on time, friendly, professional and very clear in explaining any potential problems. He was also the most flexible and accommodating about allowing me time to finalize decisions about what materials and fixtures I wanted, and offered to bid the job for "labor only" and then I could pick out/purchase materials on my own when I was ready. With a known starting point (labor) I could keep the project within budget when picking out the tile, shower head, doors, etc.. The price shown here is labor only. I spent another $3200 on all my materials, frameless shower doors being the largest piece of that cost. Tibor is incredibly responsive to any questions that come up during this planning phase. Once the job got started, all the crew members were very friendly, competent at their skills and informative. They let me know when they were showing up the next day and kept the mess to a minimum. The tile work was exceptional and very meticulously done. I am thoroughly impressed and happy with the finished product. The guy they use for shower doors at the end is just the best. Quick turn around and the most reasonable prices around. I would definitely hire this company for a job again.

I had to hold the company to some items that needed to be done and was constantly told that i did not have that spelled out in the contract. Space was left with small hole in wall where utility line was before and just an unfinished look; although they did make some adjustments and respond to my follow up calls, it was not a pleasant experience and that is why i would not use this service provider again. I am already seeing cracks in brand new tile grout in my bathrooms and am still a bit wary about the work quality that was done. i was also told that i had to make partial payments as work was done which was not in the contract.

We are exceptional pleased with the process and the results. Tibor, his crew son Norby, Raymond and the various subs were all outstanding. They kept us informed and rectified modifications in a timely and professional manner. There were few catches here and there, but with a project of this nature, there always will be things that come up since it was a complete deconstruction and reconstruction. We really appreciated the responsiveness to our questions along the way. The outcome is fantastic and we highly recommend Creative Title. Tibor is a pleasure to work with. His depth of experience and ability to pull a project together is of the highest order.

It went very well. It has been over a year now and the grout still looks fantastic. No signs of leaking into the TV room on the main floor and I was able to confidently patch the ceiling without worrying about continued seepage.

Excellent - the owner responded promptly to my request for a bid. He was knowledgeable and provided recommendations about products and options. In the master they removed an old tile enclosure and installed floor to ceiling tiles, river rock flooring, new fixtures and a frameless glass door. The guest bathroom shower was tiled with borders. The schedule was set and work was completed on time. They exercised great care to protect our bamboo flooring and left the areas clean. They also coordinated the work to ensure that we had use of at least one bathroom at all times. The finished rooms exceeded my expectations.

They did a good job. They could have done the communication and some of the details better. There were a little minor details that were missed here and there.

He project managed the whole thing, including the contractors who did the plumbing, baseboards, and tile. We didn't have to do anything. He was always available to answer any questions. The tile is beautiful and so is the workmanship. His work was excellent and I would highly recommend him. My kitchen and family room and bathroom look perfect.

We have no complaints. Project turned out beautifully. Installed new double vanity, clawfoot bath, and redid shower stall with glass enclosure. Tiled floor and shower, wainscoating, and repainted walls. Tim Sakkrison, the plumber was outstanding. Tlibor and Norby were great, professional and kept us informed with what was happening.

Creative Tile and Remodeling did a great job. They took our master bathroom back to the studs and completely remodeled the bath. The owner, Tibor, was great to work with and his crew and subs were very good. We had a vision of what we wanted and Tibor came through and made that vision a reality. The detail work was terrific as we used a lot of tile and natural stone. All the walls are porcelain tile in Oak, made with a 3D printer. The floor is 1 inch hex honey onyx and all the fixtures are finished in stain copper. We are truly pleased with the work and experience.

Creative Tile and Remodel gave us a bid and was hired. The finished on time and I feel that they did good work. He had his son as well as other venders complete the task. Tibor, the owner, briefly stopped by 3-4 times to check on the work. I feel his company is professional and that they do good work. Cost was approximately $100 per hour for labor for all workers. I would consider him for another project. He was friendly and I feel that they delivered on that was promised. I do feel that Creative Tile and Remodel have room for improvement in terms of communicating with venders as well as home owner. For instance, when a tile person asked if I want something done this way or that way, I said whatever way that you feel is the best. And the tile person made the decision. Tibor the owner, then charged me more because of the decision that the tile person made. Tibor claimed that I "made" the tile person do extra work. But Tibor was not there when the tile person asked for my opinion and I deferred the to the tile person to make the decision. It should have been disclosed to me that his ( the tile person ) decision was going to incur a higher price. I didn't get the impression that the specific nature and terms of our agreement was clearly made available to all the venders. That said, this was really a minor issue and for the most part I was happy with everything. I believe Creative Tile and Remodel would benefit from a little better communication between everyone involved. But they are a good company and their pricing was better that other bids. I would hire them again.

The main thing is Tibor is great to work with. He goes through the pros and cons of different ideas that you have. He is also very open to letting you do stuff yourself if you want to (I elected to do the painting, faucets, and electrical myself). Some of the other bids I got they wanted to do everything or nothing at all. I Immediately got the feeling with Tibor that he was very trustworthy and it proved it through the remodel. Some people have commented that Tibor is not responsive, but I disagree. He definitely is easy to reach on his phone although it some times is a day or two if you only want to use email. Personally for me the hardest part of a bathroom remodel is picking out what material you want to use. Tibor will give you ideas of where to go look, but my advice is to start your research early. Tibor can give you some ideas but he is not a interior designer. I struggled to figure out what material I wanted, and spent a lot of time on houz.com and other sites. Also went to CFM several times. It took me much longer than I anticipated. The demo of the bathroom was pretty straight forward, the plumber came out and installed the tub and the guys started tiling. The tile guys quickly realized the plumber had not secured the tub and we got behind a few days as they had to rip the tile out they had started and have the plumber come back and secure the tub properly. It didn't add to the cost or anything, it just dragged out a few days. Tibor's tile guy is awesome, he does amazing work and had some really good ideas of what we could do when I really pressed them (everyone seemed shy about giving out ideas/advice, my guess is that if the customer doesn't like it they try to blame the contractor and make them redo it for free). Once they were done, I wasn't totally happy with how the backsplash on one wall looked and there was a small crack on one of the kitchen backsplash tiles. I got absolutely no pushback from Tibor, he just fixed it within a day. Overall we were very happy with Tibor and Creative tile. He gave a very competitive price and is very easy to work with. We ran into some snags along that way that we worked through. Instead of trying to blame other people Tibor always focused on options to get the problem solved so I was happy.

I was seeking competitive bids from contractors for a complete remodel of a bathroom. I emailed Creative Tile through Angie's List with a few dates and picture of the current bathroom with description of work needed. I received an email back stating that I need to call to make an appointment. I called and left a voicemail stating I am calling to schedule an appointment based on the email I sent. I received a voicemail back within a day or 2 and I immediately called back and left another message. I never received a call back so I made the choice to not pursue it any further as I don't feel a potential customer should have to chase down the contractor. If a contractors schedule is full and they are unable to take on more work than I think they should have the common courtesy to communicate that.

This remodel went extremely well and the final result is FANTASTIC! The transformation from beginning to end product is truly remarkable. The original scope of work was for a kitchen remodel and new electrical panel but as the project went on my wife and I decided to keep adding new elements to the job and Tibor was very accommodating. Basically we remodeled our entire house except for the bathroom and a few bedrooms. We had a very large fireplace removed from the living room to free up more space as our home is small (1000 sq/ft or so) and this really opens the room. Tibor's crew did a fantastic job removing the brick, re-framing the wall and patching the roof. Absolutely no sign that a fireplace ever existed inside the house or from the roof line - great work! As a result of the fireplace removal Tibor informed us that a carpet patch was not going to look very good and suggested another course of action regarding the floor. We decided to remove the carpet and replace with floating laminate. This required the removal of the old and damaged 1950's hardwood underneath the carpet and prepping of the sub floor for the laminate. Once again, Tibor's crew did a fantastic job. The floor was leveled and the sub floor and laminate installed very meticulously. The floor truly looks great! Because a large part of our ceiling had to be replaced due to the fireplace removal we decided to have a knock-down texture applied and this could be one of the best texture jobs I have ever seen - It is truly amazing. Carlos and his guys did an outstanding job with the drywall work. These guys are masters at their craft! Sam the Electrician had a huge job on his hands replacing my OLD and not up to code electrical system. Our electrical panel was located under our kitchen sink - yes kitchen sink!!! In fact, I even called out other Electricians before deciding on this remodel and many said they would not even touch it because it was just too complicated of a job to fix. Sam not only removed this mess but expertly moved the panel box into the laundry room and rewired the entire kitchen, laundry and living room. He was very accommodating and even came back several times to hang lights and install specialty outlets I had purchased and did not have at the time he rewired the house. I want to make a special note regarding Tibor. He is one of the most honest and trustworthy Contractors I could possibly imagine. He ALWAYS returns calls, email and texts within minutes and if he is with another customer and cannot return a call immediately he calls just as soon as he gets out of appointments or even will stop by the house in the evening or on weekends if necessary - we really appreciated his attention to our satisfaction. He made us feel like we were his only job even though he was managing 14! The only complaint I can come up with is with daily job cleanup - which was pretty much non-existent. My wife and I were staying in the house during the remodel and I felt I needed to cleanup each night so we did not step on nails and screws. Also during various stages of demo sometimes debris would be placed on tarps in the front yard and other times it would not. Needless to say this has caused a few problem with nails and screws left in the yard and driveway. I had to have a tire repaired on my car because I ran over a screw in the driveway. I spoke to Tibor about this and he said he is working with his guys and subs to prevent this on future jobs. I would highly recommend Creative Tile and Remodel and will be using them again when it come time to remodel my bathroom. Thanks for the great job guys!

Tibor was very good to work with, very punctual in answering concerns and questions. His crew were professional, clean and prompt.

The contractor came to bid the job. He was very professional and experienced, and his bid was in the middle of the other two contractors. He was able to schedule us in a timely manner and anticipated two and a half weeks to completion. From that point on we had a terrible time getting ahold of the contractor. He would forget to tell us when subcontractors for coming to work and despite multiple attempts to get a basic schedule, was never able to tell me when he would need certain materials etcetera. Overall the subcontractors were wonderful. The quality of the work was outstanding. But once again, the contractor was an issue, scheduled two subcontractors at the same time and that would be very frustrating for both of them. The Electrician had several temper tantrums over the fact that there were too many people in the room when he was working. During his final visit, the electrician made two mistakes that I am sure he would blame on crowding in the bathroom. I felt like I was constantly babysitting the schedule, running for materials at the last minute, and bugging the contractor for better communication. This is a tough review to write, as the project came out great and nearly on budget and somewhat on time, but the communication with the contractor was horrid.

We hired Creative Tile and Remodel to remodel our master bathroom and bedroom, - our old master bathroom was tiny. The project involved breaking several walls, gutting out the existing bathroom to make it larger, building a large, tiled walk-in shower area with no door and no glass walls, installing a jetted tub, re-tiling the bathroom floor and the vanity, moving some of the plumbing, building a new walk-in closet, making the master bedroom larger, painting everything and installing a new carpet in the new bedroom. We made a great choice hiring Creative Tile and Remodel. Tibor managed the project very carefully and professionally from start to finish. He was always easy to reach and responsive. All of his sub-contractors were very skilled, attentive to details, clean and polite. I am especially happy with the way the new shower turned out. All of the tile work looks great as well. I would definitely hire Creative Tile and Remodel if we ever need to remodel again.

Tibor-the owner was great-gave excellent advise for the remodel, his crew was punctual, neat, professional....I made changes to the plan mid project and Tibor was always accommodating....I felt totally secure leaving the house open to his staff. I would not hesitate for even a second to work with him again

After months of searching for a reputable contractor and receiving bids that were outside our budget, we found Tibor and his crew. From beginning to end, he was accommodating to our needs. This includes coming out to give the initial quote on a Saturday, planning an expedited construction project to deal with our time constraints, and working with his team to modify the project when necessary. Tibor's right hand man Justin was phenomenal to work with, as were his plumber, tile and woodworking crew. There were a couple of miscommunications along the road to completion, however every time, Tibor went above and beyond to listen to our needs and to try and fix the issues to our liking. The work was completed as desired and we could not be happier with our kitchen and bathroom remodel.

Tibor Lakatos and his crew and subcontractors did a great job for us. The workmanship is excellent, and when any questions or issues arose, Tibor was very responsive. The project was performed on budget, and the finished job met our highest expectations. We would strongly recommend this contractor.

I feel sad to give Tibor and his crew a B-rating because I really liked Tibor very much, and originally planned to use him for a second job, but I didn't have quite the perfect experience as did most of his customers during the job. Then, later, I had a problem with cracked grout, and I didn't get a satisfactory response. After over 3 months of trying to discuss what to do, I gave up and hired someone else to do the repair. I believe Tibor and his team were stretched a little thin when working on my job. A huge, expensive job was going on in Beaverton at the same time as my small job in Tigard (according to what the workers said.) Workers seemed to leave problems for each other, and no one seemed to be responsible for the overall job quality. There were a few things that didn't look right to me "behind the walls," but there are many acceptable ways to do things, and I am not a handy-person, just a person who reads "how-to" blogs on the internet and instructions that come in the box. My expectations were probably too high. Overall, the job looks nice.

Provider contacted us and came by on time to inspect our bathrooms. He gave us very good information on the project and what it would entail. We are now evaluating project from the quote which was provided in a timely manner. This review is an update to my previous one where I gave a poor rating.

Our bathroom is absolutely beautiful! We are so pleased with the results and the attention to detail provided by Tibor and his crew. We were impressed with Tibor from the beginning. He was upfront with the approximate costs and provided a thorough estimate. As newcomers to the remodeling scene, we often felt overwhelmed by the number of choices and options at each step. Having never remodeled a bathroom before, I would have appreciated input from Tibor as to how he envisioned the final product, yet I understand that he wanted us to decide and to own whatever decision we came to. In the end, he offered some great advice as to how to arrange our larger wall tiles. The subcontractors who do the tile work for Tibor are outstanding. I was very impressed with their work. Prior to installing our tub, Tibor and the plumber noticed that the tub was defective. They immediately contacted the company for a replacement. Unfortunately, this caused the entire project to be pushed back and meant that Tibor needed to juggle our job with some other previously scheduled jobs. He did a great job of keeping us informed as to what was going to happen and when. Since the job was complete, there have been a few minor cracks in the grout. Tibor has been more than willing to repair those cracks. Overall, we were very pleased with Creative Tile and Remodel and recommend them.

The bathrooms turned out beautiful, and Tibor's crew and subs are friendly and easy to work with. It took a little longer than we had hoped, but in the end it all came together very nicely. We particularly liked that Tibor asked a lot of questions during the bidding process, and that he offered some advice. This not only helped us be clear about the scope of work, but it also made sure that there were no surprises with the budget in the end. And when we did change our mind on a few things, like enlarging the shower size in the guest bath room, Tibor and crew where very accommodating, even though it meant extra work for them.

The bathroom is beautiful...Tibor and his crew are very nice and professional workers. We had already demolished the area so Tibor was able to squeeze us into his schedule to get the work done. Originally he estimated 2-3 weeks but all in all it took 4 weeks. Tibor helped us figure out what to do with certain areas and we added a 1/2 wall with glass to the ceiling for the toilet area and frameless glass shower door which is gorgeous. Hernando, the "tile guy" did a BEAUTIFUL job on the shower and floor. I couldn't be happier. We cut a door into our bedroom hallway and turned the extra bedroom into a closet/dressing room. Tibor's crew drywalled around the doorway and put up a barn door style entry...They also built a doorway into the bathroom where it had once been an alcove for the vanity and put a barn door entry into the bathroom. All the plumbing and electrical were done to turn what was once a closet into a GORGEOUS 4X5' shower. Two vanities were installed and medicine cabinets above. After 20 years in a house without a master bath, we are more than pleased with the outcome. I would recommend Tibor to anyone and plan to ask him back to tile my fireplace when I save some more money.
