Chore Escape

This was a big deal purchase and it was fine. They spent more time doing things that were not as necessary and didn't get to some of the things that I would have liked to have done. Otherwise, they did a fine job. I think the price was fine. It was a good deal for the cost. They did a good job, they just did not get one more piece of things done.

We weren't really happy with it, but that's okay. We weren't just satisfied with it, but it wasn't what we were expecting. So it is kind of a neutral. I expected a little more out of three hours. They did a nice job and were very pleasant.

The cleanings have gone well. Good communication with arrival times. The quality of work has been to the level of our previous cleaner which we had for over 10 yrs. We will be continuing on with bi monthly cleanings on a regular basis. They were able to accomdate our schedule for a Thursday cleaning. She has been professional in her communications as well.

It went excellent. They were well organized and on time. They did exactly what we were hoping. I gave the deal to a friend as a gift so when I got in touch with my friend; it was just everything they wanted. The lady was absolutely on time and finished on time. She did everything that was outlined. My friend who was a new mom was absolutely satisfied and beyond happy.

It was ok. It didn't seem worth the money. They didn't seem like they wanted to do the job.

They scheduled the appointment as soon as they were available which two weeks was out. They cleaned the entire house. The service was good.

This is the second time I have used Chore Escape but the first time for a deep clean. I was so happy and content when I came home and saw everything so clean and they really paid attention to details in the kitchen per my request. They came, they saw, they conquered!

Great! Chore Escape is always really great about getting the job done right in a timely fashion. The are always super polite and efficient. We have a house full of pets, and the girls do a great job of navigating them and watching out for them. I love coming home to the house so shiny and clean, it's money well spent!

2 people cleaning but one of them just sort of wandered around. It wasn't really a deep cleaning with 2 people. It was one person cleaning and the other just sort of hanging around

The job went extremely well and we were very pleased with her work and professionalism. We would definitely hire her again.

The deal was for x feet of gutter cleaning. Robert measured my gutters, which turned out to be x+, so he told me the new total, which was fine. He not only took the debris out of the gutters but power washed them inside and out. As a bonus, he power washed a shed "just because it needed it." He also explained other services his company provides. Robert was prompt, polite and helpful. I will definitely call this company for many of their services. This was an A+.

I purchased DEEP cleaning, yet window sills were not dusted nor was a work station in an office. Plus they ran out of time and were not even going to vacuum or wash kitchen floor because they had spent so much time dusting walls, I guess. Anyway, their priorities and definition of "deep cleaning" differed from mine. |They were prompt and courteous.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out well. We are still using them. What stood out was the customer service aspect of it. Beth is the primary contact and she does a really effective job of being a communicator and getting details clarified. She is easy to talk with, which is not always the case with some services.

While the 2 women who performed the services were very nice, the quality of their work was less than desirable. Kitchen counters and cabinets were not thoroughly wiped down, and in some instances dusting was done around items rather than under or over them. The refrigerator was partially cleaned but they didn't have time for the freezer. The racks and drawers were all put back incorrectly and food items were not returned to where they were originally stored. It took me almost an hour to put things back in order. Microwave was cleaned but racks re-installed incorrectly and unfortunately, this company does not clean regular ovens. The workers had good intentions but compared to other providers that I've hired through Angie's List, their services were acceptable. Maybe they need more practice or maybe my expectations are too high.

Provider cancelled 5 minutes before she was scheduled to come. She sent email which I did not see until I tried to contact her after waiting for 30 minutes. She said she didn't have my phone number. Her employee did not show up for work so she had to cancel. She said she had an overwhelming number of "big deals" purchased and offered several times for me to ask for a refund. I had schedule this appointment 3 weeks prior to the date. I only have 2 weekdays off per month to schedule services like this. I tried to reschedule but it doesn't look like it will work.

She was great. I let her know that my parents were elderly and coming back from vacation on 10-01-13 and she was able to squeeze me into her schedule. My parents are elderly and cannot reach very high or bend very low and she was able to spot a lot of areas that were not attended to in a long time. She was also bright and energetic. She worked hard during the entire four hours we were there and the place was immaculate. Thank you so much!

Beth arrived on time, surveyed the work to be done and went to work immediately. She was professional, efficient, considerate, and stayed on task. She did a great job and completed all work in the allotted time. She brought her own tools, equipment and supplies. She left the areas looking great and with no smell of smoke. I am really pleased with the results.

Prompt, reliable, professional, and thorough. Also, very engaging and charming to be around. Highly recommended!

The 1st time they were in it was supposed to be a "deep clean." But unfortunately they missed large areas of floors and didn't do windows that I'd specifically asked to done. I emailed her to complain and she promised to do those things the next time. the next time was a week later and I check and those missed areas did indeed get cleaned. During the following week, my husband and I both noticed that the house smelled " unclean" an odor I have noticed in the past that let me know the house needed to be cleaned. This was curious because they'd just been here 1 -2 days prior. I decided to look around for the offensive item, I got on my hands and knees with a flashlight and OMG! I could not believe what I saw! I could see where they'd vacuumed and Most importantly, where they had not. They actually vacuumed AROUND my dining table and never moved a chair to vacume beneath. They vacuumed around tables, around my bed, around my free standing closet ! Dust and dirt are located under things and they never bothered to clean anything thoroughly. I was shocked and appalled by the really poor cleaning . I called Beth and told her about all the problems and fired her on the spot. Her response was that she hadn't received my check! I now lost complete control of myself and screamed into the phone several %?,?[ and hung up on her. I do feel Bad about that. Sorry, Beth. I was furious! she called me back and left a message and explained that what she was going to say was That I didn't have to pay for the clean. I then decided to re-clean my whole house and it was a big job. I'm now so disheartened that I don't dare hire another cleaner. Maybe I just cant be pleased(she is my 2nd house cleaner) or maybe the level of cleaning i require is beyond the realm of what's avail. I don't know. I learned alot from my 2 cleaners. Alot about how my house needs to be cleaned and I'm going to try to do it my self for a while. My advice to people and house cleaners is to check the work. Get down on hands and knees with a flashlight and you will be able to see everything. While standing, all looks good, but to really know you gotta get closer!

I had tried several local cleaning services and was underwhelmed. Bear in mind I'm an obsessively clean cheapskate. Reading the good reviews of chore escape I decided to give them a call. The two incredible women did a fast, perfect job and even came in under the estimated time. FYI the company gives great deals on monthly cleans. They're the only people I'll call from now on.

Quote and service were both timely and professional. On-going service was just more than we could afford every two weeks.

We decided that we wanted to start using a housecleaning service because we both work so many hours and we want to enjoy our free time. We are hardly rich, but we want to enjoy life. Beth, the owner, has been great. She came to our house on a Sunday to discuss the service because our work hours are really wonky. They did a deep clean the first visit, I think that was something like $185 (with Angie's List discount) for our relatively small two bedroom, one floor home (we have two cats and a dog). Now we are using them every other week for $85 a visit. They have been great with our pet rules, etc... Thus far we are very happy with the service.

Beth and her team came in and cleaned my condo from top to bottom. It was beautifully dust free and tidy when it was all said and done. It didn't take as long as originally thought, so I came out lower on the original estimate. I was charged around $50 an hour for the first clean and decided to go with a weekly clean that was quoted at $75 a week. So totally worth every penny.

I have a beautiful house that is a little large for me to care for because I am 66 years old. She kept revising and adapting her plan and tried to fit into my budgetary. I was hoping to pay $100 a month because I am on a pension social security and it was way low on her estimate. She really tried to squeeze it in, but just could not quite do it with her staff. She was very professional and good in her relations and loved my house, which I always like when that happens. It just did not work out. She did a very good job with trying to make the offer fit. She was very responsive and got back to me the next day, which she said she would do. I have been too busy with my business, so I haven?t got quotes from anyone else.
