 + -1 moreThe person in the office was very pleasant and asked the right questions so that she had a good understanding of the work needed. She told me they had some cancellations that week so if it worked with my schedule it could occur that week, or I could schedule it for several weeks out. We scheduled that week. The technician arrived early and got right to work. He did an excellent job and if I had a similar need in the future, I would hire the company again.
Description of Work: I had two decorative columns between my living and dining rooms that I had had removed. There was no carpet under the columns so I requested that the Carpet Surgeon remove original carpet from a closet and place it in those spaces.

 + -1 moreOn time, very helpful, great ideas, highly recommend calling them if you need your carpet fixed or cleaned - this price includes installing a carpet in a bedroom, patching an entryway, salvaging carpet to cut down on cost, cleaning my huge house - the carpets are gross and I thought I had to replace them all, not so according to the surgeon :-).
Description of Work: Really great company to work with. Super helpful, great cost saving ideas to help me get my house one the market without spending a lot. I am looking forward to having them come in and do the work - Thanks so much. ($650.)

 + -1 moreThis was the most incredible service for the price I may have ever had! I've never been happier with a company and its service. And I've used a lot of different services over the last 3 years due to major remodeling projects. FABULOUS!
Description of Work: I had a large spot on the carpet in my finished basement, about 5' x 10', that was damp upon our return from a trip. We thought it was probably from under the foundation, since we'd had trouble with that before. They came out and delicately said it was dog urine. He tried every way possible to not offend me, so I finally had to say it. That was pretty nice. So they pulled up the carpet, checked the concrete underneath the pad, then tested and smelled the pad and carpet. Then he treated the carpet with a super-duper odor eliminator, stuck a fan under the carpet and pad, and left it to dry for 2 days. He came back, cut out the bad padding, replaced it, and put the carpet back, AS IT WAS. THEN, he cleaned the whole thing!

 + -1 moreIt was for one part of the floor, they treated it and they got rid of the odor. It still had a little bit of a lingering smell. They came out again and treated the entire room and left more treatment with us. They did not charge anything for the return visit. He was extremely thorough.

 + -1 moreJob 1: Nick arrived promptly, was very polite, described what he would do and got my feedback. Quietly performed the work and explained what he had done on completion. Took no more than 45 minutes from beginning to end and price was the minimum quoted. I was quite happy! Job 2: Once again, carpet surgeons came through. Showed up on time, did the promised work, charged me less than expected. This is the 2nd time I have used them. I plan on having them out to clean my carpets in a few weeks. Yes, they do carpet cleanings as well.
Description of Work: Job 1: Repaired/replaced section of carpet and padding at front entry destroyed by a "digging" dog. Used a small section of carpet from hall closet, then replaced the hall closet section with a very similar remnant from company supply. ($99) Job 2: Replaced/repaired dining area carpet where hot iron had melted/damaged the carpet. Then replaced/repaired a section of torn/damaged carpet in front of a door in hall. Used carpet from front hall closet for repair and replaced it with the damaged piece. $99)

He came when he was scheduled, got the work done in a few hours and then answered all my questions. He was friendly and serious about his work. I also felt the price was reasonable. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: First, We had some carpet we purchased last year reinstalled after our remodel. The Carpet Surgeon brought the new pad and installed all over a concrete floor in a small bedroom. Second, Had carpet re-stretched in a hallway and bedroom. The carpet had been installed 2 yrs ago by someone else) The carpet now fits without bumps and bubbles and looks great. Concrete can be tricky to install over and I am very pleased with the looks of both carpet jobs.

I was scheduled with Jeromy who arrived precisously on time, was very professional and did an excellent job and cleaned up completely before leaving. I would highly recommend this company. Their honesty was deeply appreciated in dealing with the repair issue. I selected this company soley on the reports I found on Angie's list.
Description of Work: Stretched the carpeting in the master bedroom, bath and main hall which was buckling badly. I hoped to patch an area that had several bleach spots in the hall, but the technician said I would be spending several hundred dollars and it would not look good. I discussed the option of trying to dye the spots, but because of the large size of one spot he also felt I would not be happy with the results.

 + -1 moreThe repair man was friendly and timely. They charged less than they quoted. The tech was worried that the dye would fade but seems to be holding. If it fades, we can patch the carpet for only $30 more. I would recommend these guys. The woman who arranged the appointment really worked around our schedule too. The only drawback was that I had to call a couple times to get someone to schedule the appointment for me.

 + -1 moreDue to office errors, the carpet workers had to come to the house three times. During the 2nd visit, the basement mahogany baseboard molding was left outside on the ground after being moved in order to relay the carpet and pads. During the 3rd visit, the nightlight in the hall was hit, broken, and the wall scorched black. The wall will need to be repainted. Stains remain on the steps and in the master bedroom. Work was satisfactory in the basement. A letter was sent to the owner with our concerns. No response was made.
Description of Work: Carpet and pads were relaid in the basement and carpet was cleaned in that area plus on the stairs, main hallway, and master bedroom.
