When we called for cleaning in October 2009 the owner, Glenn, quickly found his paperwork on our old bid (2007) and gave us a great deal - we paid a little less than in 2007 ! Glenn also had products to address our concerns about cleaners that contain perfumes, brighteners, etc. as we have a disabled and environmentally sensitive family member. He is a patient and thorough listener ! On the day of our appointment, the carpet tech, Wade, was prompt, polite and efficient. He listened to my concerns and worked extremely hard - we couldn't ask for a better cleaning job. We were seriously contemplating getting new carpeting because our new furniture will be so different from the old, but now we can keep the old carpeting without worrying about anything.

They came out, cleaned our carpets and did a very good job. I would probably use them again. They did the work carefully; came here on time and were very professional individuals. We were content with the results.

Superb service by polite, skilled professionals. Areas of the carpet damaged by wear, and showing loose threads, were repaired so well that the repairs are invisible. Additionally, all carpeting on three floors of our home were thoroughly and expertly cleaned. Finally, Carpet Surgeon returned promptly to our home and at no expense to correct one area where, initially unnoticed by ourselves or the Carpet Surgeon staff, a leak from a cleaner had left a spot. That spot is now completely gone.

First contact with the office was very cordial and helpful and we were given 2 options of where to buy carpet, and were given a discount with Glen's name. When the measurement was done and exact quote for installation was provided and that was the final price when the carpet was installed a week later. The installer even vacuumed when he was finished!

Great! I've hired Carpet Surgeon a couple times before for a different property and I am never disappointed. They are easily the best value and the most reliable carpet service company in the Portland/Vancouver area. Couldn't ask for a better experience! PS- After the cleaning was done, I couldn't stop walking around on the carpet! It felt cleaner & softer than ever! Even when we moved into our brand new condo it wasn't this clean or soft!

Glen came to the house to give an estimate. On the day of the cleaning the service man was prompt and completed the job within 2 hours.

Glen and Nick were exactly on time, thoroughly knowledgeable, friendly, and careful. The work was accomplished flawlessly, in less time than I had expected--and the end result looks great! I expect to keep Carpet Surgeon's business card at hand for both routine cleaning and repairs/resealing in the future. Good guys, great work, fair prices!

They repaired my carpet recently. They come twice a year to clean my carpets. They keep a record of what s been done. They do an excellent job. They are a little expensive, but I am very much satisfied with their job. They have all the services.

Initial call was handled professionally. They were able to put me on their schedule in a timely manner. Service technicians arrived on time, immediately produced an estimate of the cost and upon approval began work. They were courteous, professional and obviously knew their job well. I am very pleased with their work and highly recommend this company.

Work was done professionally and in a timely manner. Boy oh boy, did he work hard. It's a lot of work to affix carpeting where it meets wood floor. Did a beautiful job.

Carpet Surgeons is a family business and their dedication to their customers starts with the phone call. Tess, who mans the phones, is super personable and efficient. She sent Scott out to look at the job and provide a bid free of charge. After Scott s visit, I called and scheduled the work. She gave me a courtesy call the day prior to the scheduled appt; which I really appreciated, because I had my calendar a little screwed up. Scott and Jeremy, who could not be nicer or more professional, returned to do the work. Their repair is so well done, it's invisible. My carpet is not easy-to-work-with plush; but rather, it's high-end textured wool. Furthermore, Scott and Jeremy moved a colossal piece of furniture for me and shampooed the areas affected by the remodel. I could not be happier with their service. In the near future, I hope to use them again for carpet and upholstery cleaning.

Jeremy and Scott did an excellent job. They prepped the floor, discussed the impact of stains and an area where the floor had been repaired which were revealed when the carpet came up and resolved them professionally. The result was a great looking vinyl floor in both the kitchen and dining room. They even picked up the vinyl I had purchased at Crown Carpets. The difference between a good job and a great job is often communication. Both you and the contractor need to know what to expect. It also helps to think through the job and do parts of it yourself. For example, the carpeted area had baseboard molding that matched the trim around a sliding door. Instead of replacing this with cove base, and having a mismatch between either the door trim or the kitchen cove base, we found a win-win alternative. Removed the baseboard and door trim before the Carpet Surgeon team started and replaced it later. This allowed Jeremy to get the vinyl underneath the door trim, and allowed me to match the door molding with new baseboard molding at the correct height for a great job.

After restretching and repairing some seams, Carpet Surgeon came in and cleaned my carpeting, including the steps leading upstairs. They did an excellent job, and even deducted $100.00 off the original estimate because they couldn't entirely remove one very faint stain in the living room.

They were punctual and friendly, and took care to put down protection for the wood flooring in my entryway. The restretched and relaid the carpeting with a minimum of cuts-we have since had no buckling and their repairs have held up great.

I reviewed Angie's list for carpet installers, chose Carpet Surgeon. I called them, Glen came to my home, listened to what I wanted with the cost involved. He explained that I had laminate flooring and to have wall to wall carpet, the flooring would have to come up or we could do large area rugs in the areas that I wanted. He drew pictures and totally explained the process along with the time frames. He also brought samples to my home to show the colors with the existing floor. He discussed other flooring problems with other areas that needed attention and what could be done. They were very professional and extremely neat with the whole process. They did more than I would ever expect. They moved the furniture twice for me and cleaned up all of the wrapping from the carpet, even played with the dog. They were on time and stayed with the estimated amount of bid. What a wonderful experience.

Carpet Surgeon was hired by my contractor. They arrived on-time, worked very efficiently and the job was top quality. I've had carpets installed in the past where edges were not tight and seams were apparent. The carpets were installed beautifully and the edges are perfect. Seams are virtually invisible. Even the hardwood floor installer was impressed!

First of all, I have to commend Carpet Surgeon for being on time. Many service providers take great leeway as to when they tell you they will be there versus when they actually arrive. This is angering for me so I appreciate that Carpet Surgeon valued my time. Overall, they did a spectacular job! My carpet has not looked this good at home since it was installed! It took a short while to dry but that was not a problem. The furniture was re-placed in the original formation after the cleaning and placed on top of blue foam blocks so that the wood legs of the tables, chairs, etc. would not be damaged.

Glen showed up at exactly the appointed time for the estimate. He was very reassuring about the problem areas. Tess, who answers the telephone and scheduled the work, is warm, friendly, and very helpful. Two workers, Nick and Jeremy, were sent to do the job. It was estimated to take four hours. The men showed up at precisely 8:30 a.m. They were clean cut and dressed very neatly. They worked hard and didn't even take a break. They finished the job in 3 1/2 hours. Since the temperature was predicted to be 92 degrees, they estimated that drying time would be about six hours instead of the usual eight hours. However, by bedtime the carpets were still damp to the touch in spite of the hot weather and running three fans for 10 hours. The bad news is that we slept in the basement that night rather than walk on the moist carpet. The good news is that it was cooler downstairs for sleeping, and our old carpet looks almost brand new!

The carpet looks new again. Nick was on time and completed the job within 90 minutes as promised. Excellent service all around.

I was moving out of my condo and the carpet was very wrinkly throughout, bunched up in the hallway and dirty. I was going to have the carpet replaced, but decided to get an estimate on having it re-stretched. Carpet Surgeon returned my call promptly, made an appointment on the day I asked for, and came out when they said they would. Jeremy looked over the carpet and said it would be much cheaper and better to re-stretch it than get new carpet. He said he could make the carpet look like new and he did! I was absolutely amazed. He said the carpet had never been correctly installed or stretched. When he looked at the tacks he could see they'd been incorrectly installed and he realized the job would be more difficult than he thought because he'd have to glue the tack strips. He went out and got the glue and came right back. Jeremy spent a great deal of time getting the carpet perfectly stretched. He did a really fabulous job on the seams. I could hardly tell where they were when he was done. And even though it took longer than he thought he didn't charge me more than the estimate. He then cleaned the carpet and it had never looked better, even when brand new! It was amazing. When my housekeeper came to do the final cleaning of the condo she called and asked me who cleaned the carpet because she couldn't believe how great it looked. Jeremy really knows his stuff and gave me a lot of great information about carpet and how to care for it. I have used another carpet cleaning company for several years. Carpet Surgeon was quite a bit cheaper and did a much better job so I will use them from now on.

Nick was very professional, on-time, courteous and worked very efficiently on a time and material basis. He also gave us an estimate for carpet cleaning the main floor that was very reasonable. We are looking forward to scheduling that work in August, pending another trades contractor completing some other work in the house that may soil the carpets in the meantime.

They are right on target about getting estimates, they're prompt about getting on the job and doing it right. The service is good from the receptionist to the carpet workers. Tess in the office takes care of things so quickly.

He did a great job. We were happy that they provided a 2 year warranty for their work.

Great. It took a little longer than expected but he had to wrap the carpet around each step and none of the steps were even. He did a great job. My only niggle was it looked like he forgot to wrap a little of the carpet around the left hand side of the steps. I have to call him back, but he was pleasant and prompt and efficient.
