The man spent most of his visit complaining about construction methods and practices "these days." He did diagnose the issues, which were that the gutter was level and therefore couldn't drain fast enough to prevent overflow, and that there is a leak in the skylight which is draining into the wall. The reason we called this particular company was that they are "roofing AND CONSTRUCTION" and the reviews on AL that we read said they replaced a skylight, etc. Not knowing what was causing our leak, we thought a company that works on roofs and general construction would be perfect. However, instead of giving a bid for the job, the man proceeded to explain step by step how WE could perform the work, which included laying caulk (alright- simple enough), and removing, cutting, and rehanging the gutter... Not helpful. He explained that "roofers don't do windows or gutters"... Hmmmm.... interesting name for a company who doesn't do "construction".

They came out in February and they stated they would come back to do the work on a nice day. We tried to contact them to schedule the work but kept getting a disconnected phone number. I called the estimator and he called the office to get in contact with me. When we did get in contact with them they were very apologetic and ensured they would get someone out on the next nice day. When they did come out they did a very good job. They cleaned up well after themselves. We were very pleased with their service.

I requested that they not blow the resulting debris into my permanent plantings, since that would result in a lot of work for me to get it all out. I assumed they would then just make piles that would be easy for me to remove, but instead they "picked up" everything and put all debris in their truck. That is above and beyond!

It went very well. Bad weather postponed the job but that was not the company's fault. In fact when they had a break in the weather they sent two crews to be sure it was finished. All the workers were polite and courteous. The cleanup after the job was perfect. They washed debris off the house and walkways and even washed down our driveway. The coordinator, Amy, was a pleasure to work with as was their estimator, Eric Clark, were both great to work with and their company should be proud of them. I recommended their to a neighbor who also hired them. I will use them again and will have them bid on a larger job I have planned for the spring. Best roofing company I have worked with.

We had had All Surface out before to clean our roof and they did a good job. But we had a leak in the roof for a couple of years that was really only obvious when it rained hard or snowed. We have had people come out and look at the leak before. We were told it was probably just caused by a water dam when it snowed or maybe leaves in the gutter. The water spots on the ceiling upstairs had been really growing so I knew I had to get somebody to find out what was wrong. So I called All Surface and they sent Adam out who is very experience and knowledgeable about roofing. Adam came out and determined a more detailed inspection needed to be made by having some of the roofing removed to determine where the leak was. That would cost about $400, but it would be waived if they did the repairs. He also noticed that we did not have proper ventilation in the roof for the attic which makes it prone for growing mold. We had little round ventilation vents under the eaves but didn?t ventilate anything because the fascia board block air from entering the attic. And when the detailed inspection was done it was found shingles were not properly nailed to the roof and that a section of the roof was missing tar paper under the shingles. We agreed to repair roof and to fix the ventilation as suggested by Adam. It took a few weeks for them scheduled the work to be done once we had given them the go ahead. Two workers were sent out to install above the above fascia board ventilation strips, ventilation caps and repair the roof. The workers showed up went right to work and spent four days doing the repairs. Whenever they needed to enter the house to climb into the attic they would remove their shoes or put covers on them. I never even saw them take a break except for lunch. Didn?t even ask to use the bathroom. When they finished they cleaned up everything. Even borrowed a vacuum to sweep up some of the installation that came from attic trap door from when they had to climb up there. They also told me they had found and replaced an exhaust vent that had a crack in it that was causing a leak. Overall great job and I would recommend All Surface.

The employees were professionally friendly; worked quickly; completed all the work as contracted; and cleaned up thoroughly. I plan to use them quarterly to keep our roof and gutters clean and clear.

Excellent service. The crew was very fast and clean. Owner Tom was extremely helpful and understanding. Amy took care of us start to finish. All Surface had previously done our roof for our home and we've been very happy with that. it was great to have them finish the garage and shed. I highly recommend their services.

The whole process went great from the bid until they finished. Unlike some of the companies we called, they came out to look at the house and gave us a free bid with several options. We did have to wait about 3 weeks for the work to be done, but that is normal for this time a year. The workers showed up on time and spent about 7 hours scrapping moss of the roof with small brushes, cleaning the gutters, picking up all the debris and cleaning up our driveway, walkway and deck. It was raining the day they came out, so they had to come back a few days later to put on the treatment. After putting on the treatment they hosed down our windows, plants, driveway, walkway and deck. Everyone we worked with was friendly and professional. We will call them again when we need our roof or gutters cleaned.

The team did an excellent job cleaning the roof. It had been a few years so we were seeing moss sprouting up again -- and after the cleaning the moss was gone. I knew the gutters were in bad shape because I could see some weeds growing out of one section. After the cleaning the weeds were gone and there wasn't the leaking from the gutters that we had before. Only complaint was that something got left on our front windows (maybe just muddy water from the gutters). This was why we gave them a B for quality. Even so, I was pleased and we'll use them again in about 3 years from now.

I contacted All Surface for a gutter tear off and replacement. They were very flexible with their scheduling and trying to meet with me, but were kind enough to leave the estimate in my mailbox. Amy was friendly and prompt. Unfortunately, their bid came in high and my budget is well, a budget....and I'll have to find another option. Thank you.

Fast, professional, hard working. Worked in the dark and rain to finish in one day! Originally came out to look at a leak. I really appreciate that they offered mulitiple solutions and advice. We decided to do the whole roof instead of fixing one area as we would probably need them back out again. Recommend them greatly. Not sure on date of original service. We are asking them to come back out to do our garage and small tool shed this Spring.

Service was fast. Had an estimator out the same day I called and two days later the shingle was replaced. This is the third time we have used this company for our roofing needs. The quote was for $225.00 and they gave me an Angie's List discount of $20.00. I paid $205.00 for a shingle replacement which I feel is on the expensive side but they are quick to do the work so it's a wash. I am sure I will use their services again.

overpriced for service, however did do a fantastic job of hand cleaning my tile roof. They state they have a 3yr moss warranty with "eco friendly" application. moss returned within the year. |would not use company again.

We are very pleased with this company. Adam the estimator knew roofs. The gals in the office were great to work with. The guys, I think George and Tracy , were on time, respectful and very professional. Yes, we will use this company again!

All surface was prompt on their response to our bid request. They send out Roger who gave us a bid which was in the ball park for the work to be done. (Many other providers never even responded). We accepted the bid and requested that the work be complete before July 4th so we could use the deck to entertain in the summer season. They were out some time in May to strip the deck and start the job. The stripping and cleaning job was a nightmare! They were not careful how they sprayed the chemicals to remove the old stain and it got all over the siding of our home. The paint on the back of our house was discolored and speckled. They sprayed so vigorously that the wood was splintered and stood up in long strings leaving deep grooves along the tops of the railing. I was shocked and horrified since we had gotten their referral from Angies List!!! I called the company and they promptly sent out their foreman, Miguel who was very polite and professional. He was visibly disturbed by what he saw. He told us he would talk to the two many crew who had done the job. We received a call very rapidly from Miguel. He told us that the lead man on the crew had had a "bad day" and was not really into doing the job with care that day. He scheduled all his workers to come out to our house and he gave them all and on site review of the damage and instructed them in how the job should have been done. He then scheduled "the same two guys who had done the original job" to come out and do the fix. They washed off the back of our house with water again. Because the paint had been bleached by the chemicals the pressure washing didn't fix the problem. They then pressure washed the house and the foreman, Miguel accompanied the crew to "oversee" their work. After the house dried and the problem was still there so I called the company again and Miguel, the job foreman told us that they would "touch-up"the paint. We went back and forth with this as I didn't think that a touch up would work since the paint on the house was two yrs old and because of this may not match. They finally agreed to touch up or pain the back of the house if the paint didn't match but this would have to be done after the deck was stained. Because there scheduled had filled up for summer we ended up waiting until after July to have the job done. So we had lost the ability to use our deck for entertain most of the summer. When they stained the deck I worked with Roger to pick out the right color/he was helpful. When the crew came out to stain they applied a very light layer and there were gaps of coverage in many areas. Along with the edges of the deck where we were told the wood was very thirsty but as it dried would look better. They had to come out to touch up the stain again but the coverage seemed very light in some areas. Miguel came himself after the staining was done and painted our house. He did a good job and the paint matched. He purchased one new can of pain and used part of a can we had been given for touch up work after the house was originally pained two yrs ago. They didn't offer to pay for the pain. After much "babysitting" of the crew (we even asked that they not send the same man who had had a "bad" day out to our house again because he continued to have a poor attitude and do subpar work) we payed our bill in full and I was happy with the deck color and finish deck but the stain still seemed to have been applied very light. They told me this would pass. We payed our bill in full after using the unpayed balance as an incentive to get all the work and repairs done to our satisfaction. I felt like a babysitter working with this company...it was exhausting. By October the finish started wearing off our deck and currently it looks like it has not been refinished for a year. I am so frustrated and unhappy with this company that I don't know what to do! I have not called them to come out again because I have not had the energy to start dealing with them again. Just want to let Angies List know and let their customers know about our experience.

George and the crew on the job were safety conscious, prompt, skilled, professional and courteous. The moss was removed by thorough brushing and the results are impressive. The valleys are a good match to the original roofing. The crew thoroughly cleaned up and removed all debris.

They cleaned up after themselves. I would give them an A.

ebrisWhen the roof was cleaned, stuff flew everywhere. we had moss, mud, and other debris on the deck, in our yard, in our neighbor's yards, and frankly we were a bit panicked. I knew they were responsible for cleaning up but BOY DID THEY CLEAN UP!! Not a trace of anything anywhere and the roof looked great. They came back today to do the final anti-moss treatment and I didn't even know they were here. We're happy campers.

Three workers arrived on time: blew roof, then brushed to remove moss, blew roof again and used hose to clear roof & gutters (no power washing). Scrubbed skylights. Debris on deck, lawn, patio and drive was bagged up and taken away. Took 3 hours--great job and clean up! Returned several days later to spray moss preventive as it started raining after they cleaned the roof. Took about a half hour. Called a day ahead to schedule the work.

It is just a waste of time if they don’t call me back to explain and they give me a no bid. They said that they would contact me. It was just a waste of my whole day going over the job with them. With regard to professionalism, they didn’t even take a ladder out and climb the ladder.

The whole job was completed over the course of 2 days. The workers were fast and efficient and did a pretty good job cleaning up. The second day the exterior gutters were cleaned, along with some additional cleanup work. We had some concerns about some of the replaced shakes, but All Surface made an appointment with us to discuss and possibly do some additionally work if it was necessary. We spoke with the same supervisor who had originally walked our roof, and he allayed our concerns so no additional work was done. When the gutter exteriors were being cleaned, it was discovered the micro screen covers we have have failed and will not let any water in. This is why our gutters need exterior cleaning in the first place, but I just thought it was from debris sitting on top of the screens. I hope to have warranty work done, but if I can't I'll be calling All Surface to see what they can do. The estimated amount of shakes to be replaced was 6 to 8 bundles and ended up being 7 bundles. I am very happy with the work that was done, and all the workers who helped on the project, and company in general. I would certainly recommend All Surface. The folks have a good team and great customer service.
