Description of Work: We had two baths remodeled by Alex Freddi Construction. The overall quality of the finished remodel is good though we had a few issues. | |I ended up being handed off to Grayson as the project manager for this. As such I only really talked with Alex Freddi during the estimate stage and at one point when he dropped off the tile I had ordered. Working with Grayson was somewhat frustrating. I never actually met him in person and most of my interaction with him was either via phone or test. We often had people who were supposed to show up at certain times and I wouldn't hear that they were late until some time after they were supposed to show up. | |The first bathroom was a total tear out and remodel. We had issues with the tile job as the grout wasn't done correctly so it had to be redone. One of the shower walls somehow ended up being longer than the other by an inch so with the shower glass door installed it looks a bit odd. The paint job had to be partially redone as the painters didn't bother to take the time to clean the walls prior to painting so they encapsulated dirt under the paint on the trim making the appearance rather rough. The painters also overlooked painting the ceiling so I ended up doing it myself. I also ended up having to take care of the carpet transition myself as their installation tried to make use of glue as they couldn't get the nails to hold. I had to tear it out and replace the nails with screws in order to get the appearance to be decent. Overall for the first bathroom I would have rated it a C. | |The second bathroom was just a tub removal and replacement with new tile surround. It turned out well with the only issue being a one day delay as they needed to cut the existing tile to fit the bathtub. For the work on the second bathroom I would have rated it an A to A-. |

Description of Work: Alex was one of three bidders for a remodel of our 1912 era bathroom. He was super responsive, kind and thorough. Their business model is one that requires the homeowner to purchase their own fixtures but Alex and team were super helpful - referring us to sources and helping us verify if items selected would work in the space. Since our house is so old, the bathroom space was very challenging to work with without completely gutting it or expanding it so we updated it with similar fixtures as were in it before like a clawfoot tub wall hung sink etc. We also replaced very old vinyl floor with ceramic tile. The craftsmanship, especially on the tile installation was wonderful. Everyone on the job site was courteous and kind and flexible.

Description of Work: I only received a bid. Alex was on time and took the time to ask what I needed. I received a detailed bid at a reasonable price but I went with another contractor.

Description of Work: Alex helped us remodel our kitchen. First he came and we went over how we wanted to remodel our kitchen. He gave us great ideas and suggestions on different ideas. Once we had the demo work done, he helped us with the plumbers and advice on the cabinets and countertops. He was great throughout our long process of remodeling our kitchen.

Description of Work: We found Alex Freddi on Angie's List and everything that the reviews say about him is true: professional, attention to details, easy to work with. Scott, David and crew did a great job with a total remodel of a small bathroom and drywall removal and repair and replacement of paneling in 2 adjacent bedrooms. This was our first major remodel and Scott was very patient with all of our questions and had helpful suggestions. We would hire them again without hesitation and highly recommend their work.

Description of Work: We recently contacted Alex to give us an estimate on replacing our old bathtub. Due to our particular bathroom situation, the process turns out to be much more involved than we thought. However, we were impressed by Alex's knowledge and patience in explaining the procedure, as well as his reasonable quote compared to another contractor we called. We'll definitely go with Alex when we decide to finally do the job.

Description of Work: Alex bid on a major fence rehab project. I needed my entire old fence completely torn out (posts--in concrete--and all) and replaced. There was about 200 feet of fencing and a gate.

Description of Work: Removal and replacement of backyard deck and back steps. Removal and replacement of kitchen and bathroom floor. Removal and replacement of bathroom sink. Creation of new door between kitchen and bathroom.

Description of Work: Alex remodelled my mudroom. He removed badly installed drywall and insulation and an old, poorly hung door. He then cut a hole in one wall so that a door could be added, re-framed the entire room (the original framing in the walls and ceiling had been done poorly), installed drywall, mudded that, added texture to the drywall, hung the new door and replaced an old door, caulked everything so that the room is airtight, replaced an outside light so that it made more sense over the deck, added an electrical outlet to the interior of the mudroom and finally replaced siding that he'd removed from where he cut a hole in the wall to accommodate the new door such that you cannot tell that the siding was ever removed.

Description of Work: Remove a 4x3 ft window and install a 6'sliding door. Cut out drywall & siding to fit door, remove existing header and install new header, install door with specific weatherproofing, trim in and out, new drywall above door where header was replaced and door was higher than the old window. Finished drywall and prepared it for painting, by owner. Door was furnished by owner.

Description of Work: Alex came out to assess our house and look at all that needed to be done. We talked about ways to do it in stages so that I could have the kitchen and bathroom of my dreams, as well as get the landscaping taken care of.

Description of Work: Some of the rafters in our attic are cracked and others are close to cracking. Alex sistered the rafters that were already cracked and added supports to all the other rafters. Alex gave a free estimate for the work and then completed the job on schedule. We were very concerned about the integrity of the rafters and Alex Freddi Construction was recommended to us by several people.
