Alex is an experienced craftsman, who is capable of solving the most difficult remodeling challenges. Even though there will always be surprises when remodeling an old place Alex was always on top of things and communicated any surprises clearly and always gave a good overview of all the options. His problem solving skills were some of the best I've encountered as a customer. His suggestions for materials and suppliers were very helpful. Kyle, who did much of the work, was great to work with. His workmanship was top quality. The sub-contractors hired were all quality teams. Especially the drywall/painting crew and the siding folks.

Kyle did an excellent job with the tiling of the bathroom floor, replacing floorboard trim, grout/caulking, and installing new toilet. He was prompt, courteous, clean and did a beautiful job cutting and fitting the tile. The new replacement tile that my husband and I had chosen was thicker than the tile that was originally on the floor, so the bathroom floor with new tile was about 1/8" higher than the hallway entrance. Kyle crafted a thin wooden threshold for smooth transition from hallway into bathroom. And it looks great! Alex Freddi updated our master bathroom in 2009. My husband and I were extremely pleased with his quality of work and therefore hired him again for our secondary bathroom. Janet Carter

They really stuck to the job and were wonderful. I have never worked with such a great company. They were amazing and I would highly recommend them. The work was worth every penny. They even caught a leak in the sewer line and repaired. Scott Rogers was the supervisor and he was always available, great at problem solving and was remarkably on top of everything. He really had really good people working with him. The work area was cleaned up everyday, they protected everything and never left a mess. I would be happy to speak with any member looking for a reference or additional feedback about my experience.

Words cannot express our gratitude for Alex and his crew ? nor can we cannot speak highly enough of the guys and their work! We hired Alex after reading his excellent reviews and are so glad that we did. We were deciding between two bathrooms to remodel, and he ended up steering us to remodel the less expensive of the two projects, which is the opposite of what other contractors had pushed. Our basement bathroom was transformed from a 1970?s, dingy bathroom to one that we are happy to have our guests use. From the start, Bill and Bob were wonderful. They were hard workers, efficient, and very communicative. I felt like I always had the information I needed, but they didn?t bother me with every minute detail. We really appreciated that we were able to have control over materials, which helped with price point and also we could go to places that we were comfortable. That said, Alex did provide us with a list of suggested vendors as well. Alex went through the whole project with me and helped me make a list of necessary materials to keep the project moving. We were able to pick exactly what we wanted, but knew that we had everything that they needed. We decided partway through the remodel that we wanted to change out the countertop, and they were happy to work around the countertop contractor, even though it slowed their progress a bit. The finished product is just beautiful. Bob is a perfectionist, and it shows in even the smallest detail being done correctly. Overall, we cannot recommend Alex Freddi highly enough. From start to finish, we felt comfortable with them, had clear communication and are pleased with the final product. We will definitely be hiring them for future projects at our home and will recommend them to our friends.

We are first-time home buyers (within the last year) and this was our first remodel endeavor. We could not have been happier with the services provided by Alex Freddi Construction. Kyle, our project manager, did a wonderful job setting us up for what lay ahead during the process. We tend to ask a lot of questions and Kyle showed up promptly at our door every morning to answer all the daily questions we had about the process and what we could do to help it move forward efficiently. Kyle and all other sub-contractors respected our space and although our kitchen was 'down to the studs' for the early portion of the process, it never felt like we were living in an unnecessary mess (which definitely says something). We value communication more than anything and we feel that this is a major area of strength for Kyle and Alex Freddi. E-mail or phone updates everyday and input on decisions when we requested it. To summarize what we had done: -Kitchen demo'd/gutted -Tile floors -IKEA cabinets -Quartz counter-tops -All new drywall and can lighting -Removal of knob and tube electric -Installation of gas line for new range -Installation of all new appliances -Knocked out wall made of lathe and plaster to create a breakfast bar and open up the kitchen to the living room -Installation of pendant lights Of additional note, Alex worked with us to reduce costs by allowing us to put together the cabinets and paint the kitchen ourselves. Kyle was a wealth of knowledge on home improvement and his guidance was valuable during the process. And finally, we feel that it should be mentioned that Alex accompanied us to IKEA and both Kyle and Alex provided recommendations for local places that they had contacts at - we really don't know how that IKEA trip would have gone without Alex going with us. We really don't have enough good things to say about our experience. As new home-buyers, remodels can be somewhat un-nerving, but we felt incredibly informed during the process which gave us peace-of-mind as our awful kitchen was transformed into the nicest room in our 1920s bungalow.

The $14,000 was for labor and some material costs (it did not include appliances, cabinets, countertop, lighting, floor, etc.--we purchased those separately as agreed upon). Alex Freddi's business is installation, so the client is responsible for finding and purchasing pretty much everything needed (which was great for us being able to control costs, but it was also hard when we didn't really know what we were doing, and we had to research or just guess). Alex was great at recommending stores and people to work with, just be ready to spend a lot of time learning about recessed lights, types of counters, etc. and visiting many stores to find what you want. Alex was exceptional at replying to our emails and questions, and he met with us many times during the planning stages. His subcontractors were highly professional and punctual. Our project started in mid-May, and a lot of work was done every day for quite a while until we had to wait for cabinets, counters, etc. Everyone did their best to make it comfortable for us to continue living in our house (the fridge was left in the house for us to use, they cleaned up every day, they arrived early enough every morning to check in before we left for work). The project was mostly finished at the end of June, with a few following visits for final touches. The only thing that was sometimes frustrating was that we didn't always know the plan for the week, so we weren't sure when a subcontractor would come or what we needed to do. We learned to ask the contractors directly involved in our project, as Alex wasn't directly involved in the project once it started. We had 1 or 2 contractors working daily in our house. They were both personable and trustworthy. One of them was in charge of installing the stove hood, which became a much bigger task that we all expected. The hood was too low (due to lack of information from Frigidaire). The contractor spent 12 hours cutting brackets, adjusting everything, and installing it to the right level without a complaint or cutting corners. We had to order extra flooring and padding, and the contractors were able to directly contact our flooring place to order more, saving everyone time (we were notified as it happened). The contractors worked efficiently while putting their best effort into every day. We love our kitchen and living room, and would happily recommend Alex's company.

The most pleasant re-model experience we have ever had. Alex was one of 3 bids that we obtained but where other contractors said what we wanted couldn't be done, Alex had the vision to make it a reality. Everyone who worked on the project was professional, friendly, punctual and very tidy. Bob was an excellent project manager who went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations all the time. Everything went very well! Alex and his other contractor, Mike Sanada, had remodeled our kitchen -- which turned out beautifully. We decided to also do the mud room and bathroom, after finishing the kitchen -- and we are happy we did! Again, we are so happy with the end result. Alex was always punctual, honest, had attention to detail, and a real pleasure to work with. We would definitely recommend Alex Freddi, and cabinet maker, M and H Custom Cabinetry, to one and all. We would use them again ... and plan to!

I called Alex about a few small jobs needed within the month of the June. His office promptly called me back the next day to say he wasn't taking on new jobs at this time. Appreciated the quick response.

I had thought I would remodel a second bathroom and shower until I removed the shower walls and found pretty substantial dry-rot. The work required was more than I could handle so we hired Alex Freddi Construction based on reviews on Angie's list. I was really pleased by the quote I got from Scott Rodgers, who ran the job. They had to cut out all the rot and re-frame the shower and jack hammer out the old shower drain which, I was told, was far from code. Half the bathroom floor had to be replaced as well. I really liked working with Scott. He was very attentive to our needs and had his crew there on time every day. His crew were very competent and I thought they worked very fast. The job site was well protected and the rest of the house was screened off each day to minimize dust. The entire shower had to be gutted, rebuilt and retiled. That included a new floor pan and drain system. The tilers Scott had were very experienced. They matched an existing tile pattern for the bathroom floor and thought they were pretty fast. We had 2 issues during the job. One with a shower valve cartridge that caused us to have no hot water and one with a tile change. In both cases Scott had his crew come back at night to correct the issues. Both were really appreciated. Bottom line is I was and still am very happy with the job they did and would hire them again with no hesitation.

Scott came out and spent a while talking with me about options for our basement remodel. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and provided some nice suggestions. He was in touch just a day or 2 later with an estimate, which was competitively priced. We ultimately ended up using a different contractor for our remodel, but I would certainly contact Alex Freddi Construction for an estimate on any future projects.

We enjoyed working with Alex Freddi Construction (via Scott Rogers) Scott Rogers and his crew were fantastic. Initially, we hired them to diagnose and fix some tile issues with one of the showers in our home. After careful removal of floor and wall tiles and some discussion on the possible sources of leakage, we decided that the best course of action was to put in a new shower (tile, fixtures, glass door). Additionally, we decided to update the tile floor, wall and floor trim as well as a new custom vanity mirror (hand crafted by Scott himself!). Managing the project, Scott was able to effectively shift his crew around to meet the change in scope. Each step of the way was well planned and expertly implemented. He was easy to reach every day of the project. We felt that projects were well communicated and easy to track. I will definitely use their services for the next bathroom project. High recommend! It went very smoothly overall. Alex is always on time and very quick to respond to emails and phone calls.

Alex came to the house the same day that I called and had a bid for us the next day. He sent a contract with all the work to be done and everything that we needed to do and a list of preferred vendors. He also suggested changes to our plan to improve the design. Once we purchased everything that was to be installed they began the work and stayed on it until the bathroom was complete. Bob who was assigned to head up the remodel was very professional and easy to work with. There were several unforeseen challenges involved with this remodel but Bob just worked his way right through them. A special thanks to Tibor Tile who did a fantastic job installing floor and shower tile and Mike Hollman Cabinetry for his craftsmanship . The finished product was as good or better than we had envisioned. Keeping in good communication with your contractor and laying out all the items to be installed will help make your project go smoothly. Thanks Alex, Bob and all the subs.

Alex Freddi's crew were reliable and did an incredible job. They worked every day on our project for three months and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the quality, communication, and professionalism they displayed throughout the project. They left our house clean each day during the project. They were respectful of my children being around during the project.

It went very well. We are very pleased with the results. Alex's crews always showed up when they said they would. They left the work site as clean as when they started. No complaints at all.

Alex, Kyle, and the rest of their crew were great to work with. We found some deteriorated pipes when the walls and ceiling were opened up. It all got fixed quickly, new drywall was installed, we repainted and now you wouldn't even know anything had happened. Thanks to the drywall guys for the great patch job. I liked the plumbing crew and have already had them over for some other work, not related to the bathroom. My wife really liked the tile work, it really looks great.

This was a small job compared to the major projects handled by Alex Freddi Construction LLC, but I was treated like an important customer and received prompt attention from Alex Freddi. Alex and Kyle were professional, knowledgeable and detail-oriented. The completed job is perfect and I am extremely satisfied. I will definitely contact Alex with other projects and will highly recommend his company to other people.

I was very impressed that the company emailed me back within a few days and honestly told me they were too busy to take on new clients at this time. Although I wish I could have had an estimate from this highly rated company, I appreciated their punctuality, responsiveness, and honesty about the number of clients they could take on. I hope I can do business with them in the future.

As we said, it was a great experience, and we feel very fortunate to have found and worked with Alex and Mike.

From the very beginning Alex was very professional and helpful. He was easily reached by phone or text and always available when I needed him to answer questions or make suggestions. Alex and his crew always showed up on time, on the days they said they would. Everyone who came to our house was pleasant and courteous, and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Alex was a very reassuring presence on the work site. His crew spoke very highly of him and he checked in with them regularly throughout the day to monitor their progress. We discovered asbestos in our flooring during demo and Alex made arrangements for the demo to be done while we were out of town so we wouldn't have to deal with the noise or the mess. He kept us informed throughout the process and always alerted us to any upcoming work that he would need us there for. The crew that he brought in was very skilled and mindful of details. They kept me informed of what was going to be done and made sure I was happy with the work throughout the day. Some of them were in our home for several days at a time and they made the process very pleasant. Honestly, I'll miss seeing everyone. During the process we discovered some roofing problems that were unrelated to the work that we did. Alex jumped in and even helped us out with all of that too so we didn't have to worry. My husband and I were so impressed. Alex stood by his work and the prices he quoted. If we made changes from the plan, he alerted us to any costs incurred well before the changes were made. I would definitely work with Alex Freddi again. A kind, reliable professional, and an overall great guy. We plan to remodel our bathrooms next year and we'll be sure to call on Alex.

We noticed some cracking in the original (1989) tub enclosure in our small (5' x 10') bathroom. We decided on a total renovation, with new tile (floor and shower surround), new tub, toilet, vanity, sink, countertop, hardware, and lighting. We contacted 4 different contractors (2 from Angie's List and 2 who had done work for our neighbors). We chose Alex Freddi Construction based on their Angie's List ratings and reviews. Alex was very flexible, giving us a bid that included only the labor and permitting ($6250 for labor and $200 permit). We could buy our own fixtures, tile, hardware, etc and Alex's team would install them. Alex also hooked us up with local professionals to help us through the tile choices, countertop, plumbing fixtures, etc. Alex's team gutted the original bathroom in a couple of hours and then looked for areas that needed repairing before they continued. They did have to do some leveling around the toilet area, which we had suspected might be the case. They then put down hardi-backer board all around the shower area and the floor. After the tub installation, the tiler came up with a tile design that we liked better than our original design. After all of the tile was grouted, Kyle (our project manager) installed the toilet, vanity, countertop, hardware, and sealed all of the seams. The job was very well done. Kyle and his team were very flexible, as they had to work around several trips that we had to make during the renovation. They let us take on parts of the job that we thought we could handle (we bought our own vanity, and had to modify it to make it fit into the bathroom. All of Kyle's team were very professional and considerate. They covered the flooring from the garage (where they stored their equipment and supplies ) to the bathroom area. When their work created any odors (such as the tiling), they sealed the bathroom as well as possible to keep the odors out of the rest of the house. We are very happy with the job, and plan to use Alex Freddi Construction on at least two more renovations (master bathroom and the kitchen).

Alex met with us three or four times while my husband and I decided whether or not to even begin a remodel project. Alex was very patient and gave us all the information we requested to help us make a decision. During the remodel he was great to work with. He was professional, friendly, positive, punctual and everything you want in a contractor. He was especially easy to get ahold of. I don't think I ever waited more than 30 minutes for him to return my phone calls. Usually he answered on the first call or returned the call in 5-10 minutes! Alex managed the project, sending out plumbers, electricians, framers, drywallers and floor installers and refinishers. His assistant, Kyle did a lot of the work too, and he was equally great to work with. Everyone Alex sent was friendly and professional. I would definitely work with him again, as well as recommend him to others! And our kitchen is beautiful!

We worked with Scott Rogers from Alex Freddi. He was very easy to work with and patient in developing the detail which we wanted in the contract. In addition to the regular subs he usually works with, he found a metalworker to fabricate the stainless steel piece above the cooktop to specifications and talked with 4 or 5 metal workers about fabricating a stainless steel utensil rack we wanted to incorporate. After a lot of time and effort, it was decided that the utensil rack was not practicable. Scott also spent a lot of time finding an artisan able to do the Venetian Plaster. He finally brought in someone from Anacortes, WA. The finished project met (or exceeded) our expectations. The project was handled very professionally. Great care was taken to protect the flooring and to confine the dust. We were told exactly when to expect each subcontractor. The subs were all very friendly, professional and arrived on time.They cleaned up at the end of each day and over weekends, made sure that we had use of our kitchen. The price was inline with other estimates and change orders were discussed in advance of additional work. I would highly recommend Alex Freddi Construction. They were a delight to work with.
