Description of Work: I had a loud squeal in the water lines when multiple fixtures were being used. Example toilet and shower. I called Malmedal and Oliver dropped by on his way home from work. He said it looked like the pressure reducing valve connected to the water main was the problem. He estimated 300 dollars for the charge. I made the appointment for the work and he showed up at 6am. He replaced the valve and set the pressure accordingly. He charged me 200 dollars. It was a good experience.

Description of Work: Only company in the area to respond quickly to a water leak, very professional and informative personnel. Would not hesitate to call them for any plumbing work.

Description of Work: We called for an estimate on a repiping job for our home. The firm's representative came in a few days, but gave the impression of being disinterested. His appearance was unkept...not just stained and dirty like working people get, but suggesting a lack of readiness to deal with the public. His use of the English language was distracting even though he was clearly Anglo and not Hispanic. He spent little time looking around the house, but announced that the job would probably cost $10,000 with another probable cost of $5,000 for excavation work to the meter box. He left, promising to have a detailed estimate delivered to us within a few days. It never came and we never heard from the firm again. A few days later, a representative from another firm informed us that if our underground pipes had not failed in 47 years, they were unlikely to fail now. Such failures were usually caused by the use of Korean galvanized in the 1960's. Our home was constructed in 1967. He cleaned two faucets and replaced another at a cost of $300. The water system has since performed very well in the eight months since he did the work. Our opinions of the contractor of our home and this second plumbing firm are very high. Malmedal...not so much. A close friend of ours, who suggested Malmedal, was very surprised at our report and said that he would speak with them about our experience. We don't know if he did or not.

Description of Work: Plumbing job in my shower. They were referred by Rose City Granite and Tile (which is out if business). The guy that came out had no idea what he was doing. When he turn the shower on all we heard from downstairs was the wife screaming to turn the water off!!! | |The plumber offered to do some free work, "if I didn't call his boss"...yea right...you screwed this up, you think I'd allow you to do any other work at my home? NO WAY!!! | |The business did pay to replace the fallen sheetrock to our satisfaction...but I'd never use this company based on our experience. | |Very disappointed!!!
