we had them out a few times to fix minor issues. Among them an outside hose bib was "fixed" a few times. even though they said it worked, it never did. the last time we asked them to come out and fix their faulty work they told us they would only come out and fix if we paid for it. they also told us their GC told them they did not need to stand by their work anymore at our house. So if you want to hire somebody who does not honor their work and have the best interests of their customer in mind then hire Five Star. If you desire something better, go back to search and find someone who will.

3 of the 4 shut off valves ended up having very small leaks at the supply side pipe fitting. Had the plumber out twice and 2 of the 3 leaks were fixed. I replaced the remaining shutoff valve that was still leaking and the leak was fixed. It should be noted that these leaks took about an hour before a drop of water would show up at the fitting so they were not evident while the plumber was still at the work site.

I have contacted them for another job now. They were very good. Ricky, the owner of the business was very good and friendly. They got right to the job and worked very quickly. He had to crawl under a very tight crawlspace in the house and in fact, it?s good that he is small. I don?t know if most people would have been able to get under there. It was very difficult to work there but he never complained. He went under there even though it was pouring and it was cold on that day. I was very impressed. The price that he charged was very fair and reasonable. I would be using his services in the future too.

During the cold weather and snow one of the shower heads in our shower stopped working. We were snowed in at the time so we were very worrried about someone being able to get to us. I was able to quickly get Ricky on the phone and describe to him what was happening. I told him my husband was in the process of getting our water turned off. Ricky told me to wait a minute before he did that. He walked me through a few things to check (including turning on the showerhead, and then turning it off, looking for a water leak somewhere. End result was that we didn't have to turn the water off, we just had to leave the showerhead off. We were then able to wait until the snow melted enough that Ricky could safely get to our house. When Ricky did arrive he walked my husband through everything he was doing so that he understood why he needed to cut the hole in the exterior siding. He showed my husband the problem - that the break was above the value which was what he had thought based on our description. He repaired the break, did a temporary repair on the small hole in the siding (approximately 6'X6") and we were back in business.
