We couldn't be happier! My wife loves her new kitchen. It is a very functional design and looks great. Tiffany was very professional, responsive, and detail oriented. She was a big help with ideas for getting things right. The the cabinets are well made and attractive. The granite work is first rate. The fireplace surround turned out better than we could have expected. Overall a very pleasant experience working with these friendly, competent people. I have since used them for additional cabinets and tile work.

BEWARE!!!! Started out great with their awesome salesperson Carrie. After they had been paid the owner turned to TERRIBLE. Some cabinets were not correct and they would not repair, decided they no longer wanted to do the tile work or the granite countertops. Our contractor ended up doing the tile and we sub contracted out the granite countertops. Would absolutely never hire again.

Awful, Awful, Awful. Would never use them again. Cabinets arrived with incomplete parts and asked that our contractor finish the interior of a corner cabinet. Huh? Owner screamed at us because we said that it was not up to our contractor to repair or finish the cabinet, it was theirs. Cabinets were suppose to be all wood but came with a laminate finish even though the order said painted/stained. They looked like prefab cabinets although we paid for custom wood cabinets. Would never use them again

WARNING: BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY Beware of using this company for ANY cabinets, tile or stone work. I was searching for a cabinet maker to build cabinets for our home on the Oregon coast. I did not want to purchase pre-built cabinets. I happened upon Bergerson Tile one day and decided to go in and see what they had to offer. I met with their sales person Carrie. A delightful women who I became very close to during our time creating our kitchen cabinets, granite island, quartz counter top and back splash, along with the master bath cabinets, counter top and complete tile flooring and tile shower. We also created a wall of bookshelves for our game room. The particulars were all written up in our contract to include the PAINTED and STAINED colors for all our cabinets and bookshelves. I purposely typed those two words in all caps and will explain later. The creation and choices took several months. And then the surprises came. They do not install their own cabinets even though their website said they did (website since changed to exclude the installation of cabinets). In fact, they don’t immediately tell you this until it is too late to back out. They did give me one name of someone who they thought would install them though but it is now in the middle of summer and he was not available. The next surprise is that they subcontract the stone work, i.e. the granite island and the quartz counter tops. They do however, do the tile work. Now, in all fairness, they said they would do the granite island but it would cost us more for them to do it than contract it out. HUH?????? I thought that was what their main business was. Paid the 50% deposit, as requested, for all the items, cabinets, tile, granite and quartz. Cabinets were delivered to our job site in boxes of course. The builder did not open them right away since he was still trying to find someone available to install them. It turns out that no one was available so our builder installed them taking him away from building our house. But wait, as he opens the boxes he finds that all the cabinets are veneered, not painted or stained as the contract states, and the bookshelves are also veneered. That’s right VENEER!! And that’s not the whole story. The corner cabinet in the kitchen was not made correctly and the company not only knew it wasn’t correct and they added the correct pieces in the box for someone else to fix. That’s right, you read that correctly. Put the correct pieces in the box for someone else to fix. To make matters worse when they were asked to fix the problem they declined and said for our builder to fix it. WHAT?? Now our builder is their subcontractor for fixing cabinet errors? What if he makes a mistake, who pays for that? And, who pays him to fix their error? And, on whose time is he doing this repair? These were all the questions I asked Tiffany Bergerson the daughter of the owner. She finally said they would pay him to fix the cabinet and that he could do it on his own time not ours. Wow, how nice of them. In the meantime I was asked to pay the remaining 50% for all the items including the tile, granite and quartz as they have all arrived at their facility. After everything else is installed I would then pay for the installation labor, the smallest amount of the entire job. I say that because this is where everything falls apart. I have become so angry about the cabinet error and the veneer and in telling Tiffany about my distress she decided they would no longer be involved with us. That’s right, they quit saying I was rude and inconsiderate. I was angry and frustrated, however I am the customer and not once did they ask what they could do to make matters better. Instead they blamed me, the customer, for all that went wrong. Be careful when choosing a business. I should have done more research on Bergerson as since then I have found many people who told me they would never use them mostly due to their high prices and lack of customer service.

What should have been a routine installation has become a nightmare for us due to their measurement mistake and total failure to do a correct, professional installation. Our cabinet, sink and faucet are all industry standard sized, yet when the faucet was placed in the hole they drilled in the quartz, it became readily apparent that it was placed too close to the backsplash. There is not enough room to place your hand behind the faucet to reach the lever mechanism that operates the sink plug., and further, there is no room for that lever itself to operate as the backspace prevents its movement as well. There is no way short of using a 1950's style plastic plug to hold water in our sink. The plug looks strange sitting next to our new state of the art Delta touchless faucet.. We complained to Bergerson Tile and were met with the response that their guy had done everything correctly wiithout anyone from their business even taking a look at the installation other than the installer himself.. We asked for a supervisor or owner to inspect the installation. No one responded. After contacting them again they finally sent out one of the co-owners along with the guy who originally templated and installed the project. They tried to find a fix by suggesting that they enlarge the faucet hole so that the faucet could slip forward but after investigating that decided against it. Our concerns with that was that the faucet would not have stability and would become loose over time. During that meeting we were astonished that they would not even accept responsiblity for the problem but instead kept telling us we selected a sink that was "too big." and that the faucet had to go where it was. They offered no resolution to this probem. In fact the co-owner said he had done thousands and thousands of installations and had never had a complaint like this before which with his lack of providing a resolution we interpreted to mean we should just accept it as it was. At that point we let him know that we would pursue action against him and his was response was go ahead. Our research shows that there is no code or standard for the specific setback requirement of the faucet from the backsplash but there is such a thing as an industry standard which basically means that what was installed should be operational and have functionality .. not to mention there are ethical standards. The sink stop lever is not operational nor does it provide functionality. We have talked to other stone and tile professionals who when they hear that the faucent mechanism can't operate because it is too close to the backsplash say that indicates it is absolutely a case of incorrect measurement on Bergerson's part. At this point we filed a complaint against Bergerson's with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board who will send out an inspector and certify his findings regarding the functionality and operatonal ability of the sink. We are, in conjunction with that complaint, filing a small claims action against Bergersons for the entire original cost of this project and the costs associated to remove the substandard work they did. World's worst customer service as well as soon as they discovered we had a problem. In no way would we ever consider having them be the ones who re-do this work.
Description of Work: Provided new quartz bathroom counter top as we ordered. they templated (measured) bathroom vanity for that quartz countertop to fit vanity, templated for placement of hole for our new undermount sink and for faucet. They went back to shop and cut countertop and sink hole, returned with quartz top, placed the top on the vanity, installedl undermount sink in the hole they had cut, then drilled faucent hole, and then set & grouted backspash tile. The sink and the vanity were provided by us and both were onsite for their templating/measurements for hole placements.

They were very knowledgeable in measuring the counters before bringing in the finished counter tops. All went well until they were cutting the Italian tile we had purchased for the backsplash behind the countertop range with a bad sawblade. It appeared to be okay during the day, but the light at night showed the ragged seam that had been cut. They did allow us to pick out any other tile we would want for replacement, but at that point, I was overwhelmed by the change of plan. I did choose a piece of granite and it turned out fine.
Description of Work: Granite counters for L shaped large kitchen area with tiled back splash. Also a granite counter with waterfall trim on a sizable island area. Also, we had a backsplash of larger display behind the countertop range area. We also had our half bath vanity covered with granite and the counter area in the Butler's pantry covered, as well.
