We explained we were on a deadline and he stated he could get it to us within that time, with the no problem and did not. He held up my claim with a contractor's board.
Description of Work: They stated they would get me an estimate, but did not.

Clearly a case of predatory consuming........These people contacted me to help them file a claim with the CCB against their contractor, who as far as I could tell, was not at any fault. They were taking contractors and cabinet makers to court to get their cheap cabinets for free, or a full replacement. This was based on the fact that there were small blemishes occurring in the lacquer finish. Most of these areas were around sinks, laundry, and bathroom sink areas and would be trouble prone areas for a lacquer finish.. If they wanted high quality cabinets with a high quality finish, they should have paid more to get that, or hired someone who offers a higher quality, more expensive product. Apples aren't oranges,you get what you pay for, and they were trying to drink fine wine on a beer budget, and not behaving ethically in my opinion.

Matthew is a true craftsman who takes great pride in the quality of his work. He is a pleasure to deal with, a good communicator, and an honest family man. He is not the cheapest but a great choice if someone is looking for high quality. He worked very well with the other contractors on the job and had future business with several of them.
Description of Work: Exterior trim refurbishment and replacement of historic home; interior finish carpentry work, interior installation of new kitchen cabinets and appliances in remodel
