TVP Engineering

I contracted with TVP for engineering plans for a home addition in February, 2023. The sales person Phil McDodson, made an agreement to stay with the project through to the permit but walked away as soon as the county required additional information. At that point Janae Spinney stepped in and would not quit on me until that promise was complete. A special thanks to Joseph and Caleb for getting us through to the end. Every engineer and staff member with TVP was polite, knowledgeable and saw the job through. It was just approved January, 2025. Great company and I appreciate all you did for us!

Classic bait and switch. On the phone after receiving the Angi list referral Phil confirmed an engineer would do the inspection. Then, he said he would inspect Monday afternoon, then text to push it to 4-7. Then he takes off to the coast on vacation, reschedules for Thursday at 11. When he shows up he gives me a card clarifying he is actually a project manager - not an engineer or any sort. He states having 35 years experience, but if you hire a engineer, you expect an engineer. Phil then informed me that he could take one look and definitely know what the issue is, and that an engineer would be an additional $1500. Not only that, but instead of an inspection, he takes one step in the living room and says an engineer will send an email confirming what Phil says he saw, without taking any pictures or measurements. I would not recommend working with this person or organization due to their lack of transparency and follow through on verbal agreements and information provided.

I cannot believe this company has ever done residential building plans before! I was incredulous at their incompetence. Not going back to them even if my purchased-elsewhere ADU building plans which I paid to have them revise do not pass the city permitting process, again! DO NOT do business with this company!
