The Stereo Store

I just moved to the Corvallis area from Southern California and I wasn"t sure who I could call to set up my surround sound home theater system. I called a few places and had prices ranging from $75 an hour with a 2 hour minimum up to more than $200+. Then I checked Angie's List and found a good rating for The Stereo Store in Corvallis. I talked with Christian about setting up my system and the price he quoted me was very fair. He agreed to come out the next day and get my system hooked up. The following day he was there on time and ready to go. The set up was a little more complicated than he expected, but he didn't charge me any more. He spent 2 1/2 hours getting everything set up and working (DVR player, VCR, cassette deck, and DVR) and he had everything wired into my surround sound receiver so I had great sound. He couldn't hook up my rear-channel speakers because of their location, but he promised to return and finish the job when I called him. Overall a great experience, a very fair price, and I highly recommend their service to anyone needing their system set up.

Steve, the store owner, spent a lot of time talking with me about my system and options. His advice was worthwhile. The installer spent several more hours on the job than I was billed for, which they explained as learning time (e.g., they'd never installed internet-TV before or an XBox-kinect system). I consider that an example of their honesty. They made it clear that I could call at any time with follow-up questions or problems. Very good service. The Stereo Store is in the same place that The Stereo Zone used to be, but its a new owner and name.
