Upon inspection of the work, there was evidence of questionable workmanship (big bubbles in the surface of the roof). The company refused to meet on site to discuss the concern and instead of attempting to resolve the issue threatened to put a lien on my home and send my account to collections. The owner of the company attempted to intimidate me and hung up on me rather than speak rationally to address an obvious problem with their work. Buyer beware!

Nathan for president! The responsiveness was fantastic. We ran into several small but distressing problems. Nathan answered his cellphone and responded to the issues same day. Aall went as predicted and fast and on budget. We are really happy.

As stated above, owner kept all appointments made, kept in constant contact and answered all questions asked in a timely fashion. All debris was picked up and hauled off. Workers started on time and worked consistently until days end. Job was finished within the time frame we were told. Owner came over 2 days later will all appropriate paper work and to answer any remaining questions we had.
Description of Work: Came over and completed estimate when he said he would. Clear and professional estimate. Kept in great contact with us. Removed all existing roof layers and hauled away. Roofed house and carport within the time frame. Workers were prompt and put in good full days.

They were professional during the bid phase but the rest of our experience was very negative. They removed the old roof (asphalt shingles plus 2 layers of cedar shake shingles) and left a mess with splintered wood and nails around the perimeter of the house. More importantly, it rained during the removal process and the crew did not adequately protect our home from water. On Friday afternoon, the crew left early, leaving the roof with only plywood and roofing paper on it and without assuring that it was waterproof. After an overnight rain we came downstairs to find major damage to the original plaster ceilings in our two front rooms. Apparently water had leaked through the plywood/paper and was channeled down the edges of the dormers and through the ceiling. Greg, the owner, was apologetic and agreed to pay for repairs. We both agreed that we would hold back a portion of the final amount to cover the repairs but the repair estimates are more than double the amount held back. They have not given us adequate time to find a contractor and get the work done. They now want us to pay the remaining amount within 2 weeks and are threatening to send our bill to a collection agency. In addition to the damage, the roof itself also had cosmetic problems caused by what seemed to us to be an inexperienced crew doing a rushed job. The rows of shingles were unevenly spaced. Apparently, the crew didn't measure correctly and there were two rows of shingles that were much closer together than all the other rows. It seems that either Greg never did a check on the final job (he surely would have noticed) or perhaps he noticed and didn't want to deal with it. It looked very unprofessional. When I discussed this with him on the phone and explained that we needed it fixed to our satisfaction, he yelled at me. He seems to be a very angry person and most unpleasant to deal with. The roofers also didn't match the color of the dripline material as we had asked. They used brown dripline material instead of white. The trim on our house is white and the roof is slate gray so the brown matches neither the roof nor the trim. Unfortunately, we did not specify this in the contract so we have no recourse. We thought that a verbal agreement on the materials was fine but that is not the case with this company.
Description of Work: We hired Renaissance Roofing to replace the roof on our home. They removed the old roof and replaced it, installing asphalt shingles and dripline, edge flashing, vapor barrier and a ridge vent.
