Crew did a great, professional job, at a competitive price.

They did an exceptional job! They were there when they said they would be and always left the area clean. When they found that the soffets were in worse shape than they originally thought they ended up having to do more hand painting than they expected. They did this at no extra cost even though it was not considered in the original bid. The trim and soffets are very high so this was not an easy job. In fact one painter told me he would not do this job because he thought it was too dangerous. Miguel was great to work with and quite obviously has a strong work ethic and will make sure the job is done right.

The company representative arrived on time, and did a thorough evaluation of what it would take to paint our house. We have two types of siding on the house; 1/2 has cedar shakes and 1/2 has vinyl siding. We want to have all sides of the house painted; he indicated that the paint would not adhere to the vinyl siding and he did not recommend painting it. Also, he said that he would not recommend painting until July due to moisture. His price was competetive to the others that we received, and lower than the one that we accepted. We decided to go with another painter because the other painter said they could paint the vinyl by putting a bonding primer on it first, and that they could paint as early as March.In addition, they will guarantee their work.

They're very efficient. They're always on time. They do a good job and maintain records of what color painting they're using with us, so that if only a portion of our home needs refreshed, they know what to use. They check back once in a while to make sure things continue to be okay. We have just been very pleased with them.

JR Painting did a wonderful job. The owner, Miguel, was on the painting team, which says a lot about how this company is run and the quality of its work. Miguel is responsive and easy to work with. I called Miguel about a concern after the pressure wash. He came over to inspect it immediately the next day and addressed my concern, which turned out to be not a problem at all. In the end the painting job looked good, and one year later it still looks good. The other employees were also courteous and professional. I highly recommend JR Painting.

JR Painting did an outstanding job. I received quotes from at least three other painting contractors and none of them came close to JR Painting. They did a lot of prep work BEFORE painting including power washing the entire house -- letting it dry at least several days, pounding any exposed nails in the siding and many more extras. They also used a premium exterior paint. The job took approximately two days (not sure of the exact timeframe -- I know it was sometime 2010 late spring/ early summer). They came when they said they would, they did the work in the amount of time they said they would, and they had a very professional, quality, polite team. I would highly recommend them !

JR came out once and gave us a bid. After talking to other contractors, we realized we need specific bids on each part of the job. JR came out again and did this. Choosing a contractor was difficult because all 4 we dealt with were very good.

Asked for a bid to paint the entire interior of a small home and their bid was ridiculous, roughly 2-3% of the price of the home! This isn't skilled labor, so I'll be shopping around for something more reasonable, hiring a college student, or doing it myself.

They did such an awesome job!! They came when they said they would come and did everything they promised to do. They used the very best quality of paint and did not skimp on anything. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a timely, quality paint job done for their home. Besides that, the people were all so very friendly, courteous and professional. I will definitely use them again !!

I called many contractors to get quotes on this work. JR was the only one that spent more than 15 seconds on the phone with me. They did have a higher quote than others but they also seemed more interested in doing the job correctly (both cleaning the house with a bleach treatment and then pressure washing the entire house). JR Painting was very responsive from the get go. They had to reschedule once but they were very timely in letting me know about the schedule change in advance. They confirmed both the day before and the morning of the service that they would be arriving. The work took about 6 hours total and our siding looked brand new when they were done. We have received many complements from our neighbors since the work was done.

It went great! I really love the fact that the owner (Miguel aka JR) works with his crew. They are all professional and hard working and Miguel is very "hands on". That way nothing is lost in translation and you know you're getting the best quality.

They did a great job. I could really tell from their diligent preparation and watching them that they are a quality-focused painting company. The guys worked really hard and were very kind and professional throughout the process. They were very cautious about my plants and landscaping and cleaned up all debris when they were finished.

JR and his professional crew went above and beyond in every aspect of painting my rental home in Portland! The fact that JR (Miguel), the owner, is there painting right along with his crew gave me peace of mind that the job was being done right and PERFECTLY! They are by far the best contractors that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and they are definitely the ones that I'm having paint my primary residence this Spring!
