Description of Work: The service provider was quick to respond to our purchase of The Big Deal of Professional Deck Restoration. We received several emails from them. We missed their call on Friday, August 14th. I returned their call on the following Monday. They came out on Wednesday and measured the deck which turned out to be larger than I thought at 642 sq. ft. The Big Deal was for 125 sq. ft. They emailed an estimate to us that evening for $2088.70. This is more than we can afford so we have to cancel this Big Deal and request a refund. They were very courteous and professional in their dealings with us.

Description of Work: I contracted with COFS to have a client's fence stained to match some other houses in the neighborhood. They were great to work with and provided a great product! + -1 moreHaving just moved to the Oklahoma City area we were not familiar with any of the local businesses so we relied on Angieslist to steer us in the right direction. We were pleased with the results of the first phone call. Trent was helpful and informative and provided an estimate over the phone (something most providers would not do.) They arrived on time and went right to work. They were detailed, applying the treatment heavily so that it would last the full three years for which it is guaranteed. The took care not to get stain on the home or adjoining surfaces. We were very pleased with the overall experience.
Description of Work: 300 lineal feet of privacy fencing was treated and stained. They allowed us several colors to choose from and provided sample on wood sections of the same material as our fence.

+ 0 moreTrent was very prompt and professional in providing an estimate. He helped me pick what turned out to be the perfect color of stain for my house. He patiently waited for all leaves to fall before commencing with painting so that the finished work would not be marred. Though it took weeks for the paint to set, it appears to be worth the wait as the deck looks quite good.
Description of Work: Cleaned and stained a second story, large deck and stairs that had badly peeling old stain on it.

From the guy who bleached the fence to the carpenter who worked 3 days to the guys that stained all came prepared and demonstrated hard work. And the manager Clint Regier was very approachable and helpful, he informed us of the scheduling and contacted us when the job was completed to make sure that we were satisfied.
Description of Work: We had one side of the fence replaced, and the other sides they added caps and covered the posts, then bleached it and stained everything. Looks brand new!

+ 0 moreThey sent their man to clean the fence and scheduled the date for sealing/staining, then showed up bright & early on that date, went straight to work prepping the areas around the fence by covering anything that might have been over sprayed and cleaned up the areas as the job progressed. What an amazing job! One of the best companies to deal with..super professional and sincerely concerned with doing GREAT work - We would recommend them to anyone!

+ -1 moreThe deck stands at about second story level. It was built at the time we built the house about 11 years ago. The deck had never been stained and the wood was very dry and old looking. I decided to take advantage of some half price coupons offered by Central Oklahoma Fence Staining through Angie's List. Trent was prompt with his visit and estimate and we scheduled the work for a few weeks later. There was one postponement owing to rain but we rescheduled for just a few days later. The deck was washed and cleaned in a few hours and then stained a few days later. The staining took most of one day. Trent and his crew (including his father) were hardworking and did an excellent job. They are prompt, efficient, pleasant and easy to work with. Now a month later and after a couple of storms the deck looks great. I will be calling on Trent in a few years when it is time to refresh the stain.

+ 0 moreUltimately, Trent really just cared that I was satisfied with the job and was willing to do whatever it took to satisfy me. Even after redoing my deck completely.... for free... he said that if I felt it was necessary, he would come back ( a third time ) to put a last coat of stain on my deck in a couple of months. I cannot say enough about his honesty, integrity and desire to get the job done right. HIRE TRENT AND YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!!
Description of Work: I hired Central Oklahoma Fence Staining to restain my deck. After looking at the pictures of jobs he had done on his web site I called Trent and had him come out and give me an estimate. I had let my deck get in pretty bad shape and expected to have to pay quite a bit to get my deck back looking good again. This job is one of many I needed to get done to get my house ready to sell in the spring. Trent came out and we went over the deck, what I wanted done and what he thought he could do. After talking to him I thought his price was a little more than I had hoped but, was realistically what I was expecting to pay considering the condition and size of the deck (around 2100 sq. ft). Trent was on time and worked long and h****** the deck. When he was done I waited a few days for the stain to "cure" as suggested. When it had cured I was not satisfied with the finished look of the stain. Most of the deck was old boards but there were also some new boards where I had replaced old boards that were just too far gone to sand or save in any other way. The result was the stain was uneven between the new and old boards which I kind of expected. Trent left me some extra stain and said that if I would go over the new boards in 2 or 3 months they should match the old boards at that point. Well, I was planning to restain the new boards this September but, before I could get to it I got an email. It was from Trent. He said he had thought about my job frequently since he had finished it. He said that he had not received any feedback from me and because of that, he assumed I must not have been satisfied with the job he did. I emailed him back and told him that his instincts were correct. I didn't submit any reviews to him, Angie's List or anyone else because I saw how hard he worked on the deck and I didn't feel he warranted a bad review. Still the job was not completed to my (and as it turns out his) satisfaction. After he told me how much my job had been nagging at his conscience he offered to pay for a new batch of stain and come out and COMPLETELY REDO THE DECK FOR FREE! So today, Labor Day, he showed up at 8:30 cleaned, sanded and completely restained my deck FOR FREE. Now it looks GREAT!Remember, he contacted me and he offered to redo it for free all without me contacting him. He took the initiative. He said that in hindsight, the transparent deck stain he originally used just wasn't thick enough to blend everything together properly considering the age and condition of the boards (both old and new boards). He felt really bad that he didn't recommend/use the semitransparent deck stain for a job that obviously required it. He also mentioned that doing my deck was a valuable learning experience for him. Going forward he would use that knowledge to help him continue to get better and better at his profession. The bottom line is that I have never met a contractor who was more conscientious, more honest or more sincere about his desire to do the job right. I would not only recommend him to anyone, I'm going to put my money where my mouth is and hire C.O.F.S. to restain my fence in the spring. Trent is honest, very hard working, has fair prices and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend him for any type of deck or fence staining project.

After I posted my initial disappointment on Angie's list the company contacted me immediately to try and come up with a solution. These guys came back out and hand brushed some thin spots and have tried very hard to make me happy. They seemed genuinely concerned that I was disappointed and were upset that I didn't call them before posting my first review. These guys clearly care about their reputation. I highly recommend Central Oklahoma Fence Staining, they stand behind their work.

+ -1 moreAfter contracting the owner Trent Jones about an estimate, he came out and measured the fences and explained what needed to be done. He recommended cleaning since they were water and mildew stained. He also explained about the various stain colors. He provided an estimate that night. Due to schedules we could only have the stain work accomplished on a Friday. The business manager Clint work with us and the work was scheduled. The fence was cleaned three days before staining. The staining was accomplished on schedule. Extra care was taken to protect the house surfaces as well as our neighbors plants on the other side of the fence. All windows and house surfaces were cleaned and washed after the staining. A very professional job and we are very pleased with the work. I would recommend Central Oklahoma Fence Staining and will use them when it is time to do it again. The porch swing looks better than it did new.
Description of Work: My backyard and side fencing and my adjoining neighbors fencing was cleaned and stained a rustic oak color with semi-transparent stain. Two porch swings were stained.

Although we had a hard time deciding which stain to choose (beautiful selection of stains), he was very patient with us. We gave him a small window of time within to work as we were going to be traveling. Trent worked us into his schedule and completed the job with perfect timing. He was very professional, and we are very pleased with the result. He took great care to protect the plants and washed down the house and windows afterward. We would highly recommend COFS to anyone and would do business with Trent again. Thanks Trent for the beautiful job on the fence!

I do want to add that we had contacted several individuals to come for an estimate and had no success with them showing up or even returning our calls. Trent was very punctual, courteous and professional. Central Fence (Trent) e-mailed us an estimate that evening after the first visit, gave us a recommendation on stain color and addresses in our community of his finished projects (which were very helpful in the selection process). We were extremely satisfied with the quality of the finished product. Central Oklahoma Fence Staining is an A+ company. They showed up at the times they stated they would be here (that doesn't happen much anymore). They made an extra effort to take care of the shrubs and flowers they had to work around during the project. Their clean up process was above expectations. The quality of the project was fantastic. Our fence is beautiful!! We enjoyed the entire process. Hire them, you won't be disappointed !!!!

It took a couple of days to get back to them because I wanted to do some more research on similar products and read a little more about them on their website, etc. Their estimate seemed a little high to me at first, but I realized that it did come with a three year warranty and that they were running a very professional business here. Overall they EARNED an A+ rating from me.... A real class act from start to finish!
Description of Work: They did everything they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. Very professional and friendly. What I was MOST impressed with was how they protected all of my rose bushes from getting damage, and the cleanup of over spray on my house and windows afterwards. I have dozens of rose bushes and plants near the fence line and they came out completely unharmed! I would recommend and refer these guys out to anyone who wants a professional job done right the first time!
