We are currently a small family owned and operated company. The benefit of working with A to Z is we spend time with you on site making decisions to ensure the result you are wanting. If you need things done in a custom way or if you need a cookie cutter design, we can provide either. We do not offer financing. All job must be paid in cash or check. Most jobs we will charge upon completion. In the case of large project or expensive materials we may require some upfront payment to cover this.

Worker worked hard removing old linoleum. Don made suggestions for pattern layout of bathroom tile. Did an excellent job. Bedroom ceiling looks great. Crown molding was put up with close attention to the corners fitting. I was very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Scraped old linoleum up and laid new tile in bathroom and entry, scraped popcorn ceiling off, resurfaced ceiling and sprayed in bedroom, also did crown molding in bedroom.

Did not go at all.
Description of Work: I had verbally contracted with A-Z in Ardmore, OK and accepted their price, however when the day arrived they did a no show. I called and he said they would begin the next day. Another no show. I did not call him again and he did not contact me again either. This was over 1 year ago!

Response from A To Z Construction
This must be a different company called A-Z Construction. We do not do work in the Ardmore area. We are based in Vinita, OK and the farthest we will go in your direction in Tulsa.

The first project went well enough except for a few things. There was a lack of communication between the contractor and the brick layer. The brick was not woven into the existing brickwork (there was even an extra row of bricks around the door i.e. the house had 26 rows of brick and there were 27 rows around the new door). It took more than a week to get the brick guy back out to tear it out and start over. Then it took more than a week again before the job was re-done. They left the pile of rubble in front of my house the entire time. The rubble remained a few more weeks after the job was completed even after I complained. I have a toddler and did not want a pile of tile, brick, boards and nails in my front yard for her to get into. Another thing was with the hot water heater in the laundry room. It has to be moved for the tile to go down and then hooked back up when it was finished. One of the connectors wasn't tightened enough and water oozed through it onto the new tile and grout - leaving a rust stain on my new grout. The biggest irritation was that it took five weeks to complete the job and days would go by without word on when things were going to get done. Although I had reservations, I agreed for A-Z to do my kitchen remodel. I paid the down payment on Sept. 25. Don told me the job would be done before my daughter's birthday which is Nov. 4. Today is Nov. 12 and the end is not in sight. The first thing done was tearing out the wall. The gaping hole and exposed beam with nails sticking out was not covered and patched until Nov. 9. I come home from work to find the refrigerator sitting in the middle of the kitchen. The guy didn't measure for the partial wall we had installed next to the refrigerator and now the refrigerator won't fit. So he pulls out the cabinet on the other side and shaves the sides so he won't have to rebuild the partial wall. This was Nov. 10. I haven't heard a word since and the cabinet needs re-attaching, the top replaced, and the partial wall still needs mudding, sanding and texturing. The granite for my countertops sat in our barn for a month before someone finally showed up to cut it. They took out our kitchen sink and cabinet because the cabinet bottom needed replacing. After a week went by without us having a kitchen sink, Don finally offered to rig us up a temporary sink and counter. This has been a very frustrating experience that has been made more difficult by things being started then a week or more passing before they show back up to finish the mess they started. To make it worse, I have to call Don to find out what is going on and ask when I can expect someone over. I feel like the proverbial squeaky wheel but I have yet to get any grease. The work, once it is done, so far is good work. The guys doing the work seem like good guys. Val and John are friendly and always mindful of my daughter and are very good about cleaning up and making sure there isn't anything laying around my little girl could step on and hurt herself. On the other hand, I'm still waiting on word about when my wall will be patched up and when the cabinets will be completed and installed. I haven't spoken with the boss, Don, in a week. Apparently, a bigger job is taking precedence over mine.
Description of Work: The first project was converting a one-car garage into a home office/utility space. We had a french door installed, the outside brick surround replaced, and ceramic tile placed down in the space as well as in the adjoining laundry room. The second project, which has yet to be completed, is a kitchen remodel. Granite countertops installed, new cabinets to build and install, tear out a wall and install new appliances, sink and faucet.
