It was really bad. They said 8 to 12 weeks and ended up taking 6 months for a basic rectangular small. They gave me a price then in the middle on construction he gave me another large bill. He owned the equipment but was charging me for rental fee for his people to use it. He charged me for his workers to pick up their tools and put them away. There was not a project manager on the site to there would be weeks where people did not show up. He does not answer phonecalls, texts, or emails. We asked for 6 ft and he made it 5.5ft and said it was our fault because people do not want 6 feet pools. The attitude was bad. It ended up costing us a lot more then what the bid was. It was very frustrating bad experience. I would run from this country. The pool still is not right and they are non responsive and have not come out to fix them. The measurements were off and it was horrible. our original quote was for $76000.

The coping stones, tile, and pit for the pool cover were completed and everything looked good. We can’t say that it went smoothly because we never knew when they were coming and when they were not, despite repeated requests from us to let us know. But now it was time for the plaster to be applied and we were almost done. By this time it was the end of September and our state had had a severe infestation of webworms so we were concerned about plastering right then because we didn’t want the detritus from the webworms in the fresh plaster. We raised that concern with Jeff Vivion and with his plasterer, John Rutledge. They said not to worry, that they would tent the pool and if it didn’t come out right they would redo it. They did tent it as soon as they were done and started filling it immediately. The plastic didn’t come off for quite a while and when it was removed we found the plaster in the deep end corner had black spots, a thin spot above the drain, and pitted and bubbled plaster on the steps in the shallow end. We complained. They said they would take care of it. They did not. The caulking was poured under similar circumstances and was also not right. The pool was not finished until October, 2009 so we didn't have it open long before it was time to close it. Beginning in the spring (March 9, 10, 2010) we called repeatedly to get some of the repairs done and got no action until Martin (the job foreman) came out in June and July, 2010, to work on the cover and to do some minor plaster repairs (sanded a few spots down). Then nothing happened until Oct. 4-6 , 2010 when Martin finally came out and repaired two cracked coping stones (this had happened over the previous winter) on each corner of the pool, sanded down two high spots on the bottom of the deep end of the pool and scraped a couple of others down ( left depressions there), and redid a portion of the caulk. Jeff Vivion came out during this same time but he was obviously put out at having to come (we had told him we were unhappy with his service since calls had not been returned) and when we again gave him the list of things that needed attention he said that he had not returned our calls because the list of things we had faxed to him previously were stupid, that he couldn't do anything about the motor noise (this was also on the list) because it wasn't doing anything at this time, that the stains and spots in the plaster were nothing, that he would NOT re-plaster, and we would just have to live with it. Before he left, and after a heated discussion, he finally said he would send the plaster guy out but was embarrassed to do it. We didn't hear from him for a long time, despite many more calls to him. On 8/08/2011, finally Jeff Vivion returned a call and told us to contact John Rutledge, which we did. He came out on 9/11/2011 and said there was indeed a problem (steps, blister in wall in shallow end, thin plaster by drain, and depressions and spots in deep end). He said that when he was done it wouldn't just be patched it would be repaired and that he would pick up the tab for the water and chemicals to refill pool. He said he would set it up for October. Again we didn't hear from him so we called on Oct. 24, 2011 and spoke with his wife who said he would call. He did not call so we called again on October 31 and November 7 and left messages. Rutledge called after our last call and said he would be out the next day to recheck pool. He came on Nov. 8 and said he would call back the following week with a plan of action. That was the last we heard from him until finally, after a series of unreturned calls in January, February and March, he returned a call on 3/14/12 and said he would do the repairs the following week. He called on 3/22/12 and said we should drain the pool. Thank goodness, we waited because on the 24th, while we were gone, he came, drained the pool, and did some of the repairs. We came home just as he was leaving and had the pool refilling. I asked him what they had done and he said they had SANDED it! I was shocked and said "What? That will only thin the plaster". He said no, but I knew better. On the 27th., we called him because he had not returned to balance the pool, as he had said he would. He called back to say that we should do it ourselves, that it was too much for him to come in from where he was working just to add a few chemicals, but to send him the bill for the chemicals and the water. When we expressed concern about doing it he said it was obvious we took great care of the pool and knew what we were doing. We balanced the pool, closed the cover, and sent him the bill but never received the money. When we opened the pool again in May, we saw a great deal of discoloration (yellowing that looks like mustard algae, but is permanent) on the steps and saw that the pitting in the plaster was still there, as were the spots in the deep end, and the thin spot by the drain. (Photos attached). We called Rutledge and told him the plaster was worse than before the repair. This set off another series of calls to Jeff Vivion, Richard, (Vivion’s new customer service guy), and John Rutledge. None of these produced results and most were not returned. We have a list of the calls. Finally, on 7/6/2012 John Rutledge came out and looked at pool and said he had no idea what had caused it, would research it on a member’s only site online, and get back to us. It is plain to see that it was the SANDING that caused the problem. No one else had touched the pool and the damaged places were only where he worked. We continued calling Vivion and talked to Richard who said they had other plaster guys and would have them call. They did not. On 8/9/2012 we left another message with Richard that we had not heard anything and needed to get this thing settled. No response. At no point during all of this time did Jeff Vivion come out to see the damage. . We have been serial remodelers and have dealt with many contractors over the years. We have never been treated with such disrespect as with this pool company. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and heard countless excuses in between the encounters with Jeff Vivion and John Rutledge listed above. Now that the three years of our warranty were about to be up we realized that they had no intention of standing by his warranty. We called an attorney and he reviewed our data and sent both Jeff Vivion and John Rutledge a demand letter to complete the work. Neither responded. The attorney also recommended we get other plasterers out to give us an estimate of what repairs would cost. We did, and both of the people who came said the plaster could not be repaired but would have to be completely redone. The attorney finally arranged a meeting here with Jeff Vivion, John Rutledge, and himself in attendance. It did not go well. Jeff again refused to do anything, but as usual said he would be in touch with the attorney. Again, Jeff Vivion never contacted him. At this point our attorney suggested we send him one more letter indicating that we would like to discuss a financial settlement because obviously we did not want him working on our property. Again,no response. Aside from the expense involved, this has been the most painful remodeling experience of our life. This is our first encounter with the legal system. We have never before been stiffed; never before dealt with people who, in our opinion truly do not care about what their work says about their character. We would definitely NOT RECOMMEND working with Vivion Pool.
Description of Work: We have a 40 year old in ground pool that was in need of another update--new coping stones, tile, and plaster. The one new upgrade we wanted was to install an electric pool cover. Vivion Pools seemed to be the one company that had experience installing electric covers. After checking on several other companies we decided on Vivion and signed a contract with them in August of 2009.

Designer was excellent - knowledgeable, friendly, approachable, responsive, and thorough. While we hoped it was going to work out with Vivion, in the end their price was just way too high. I think it reflected the higher quality build and equipment they use, and their usual clientele. They seem to be a company building pools for Tulsa's "rich and famous" rather than just for us regular folks. Several of the designs they showed us were for politicians, local celebrities, pools on the lake, etc. It seemed to us be the difference between buying the BMW or just a regular car that does the job and satisfies everything you want - in the end we went with the company that was in the middle in terms of quality and price. There are lots of companies out there doing pools and we're sure Vivion is honest and have the highest standards. They came highly recommended by anyone who had dealt with them. In the end, we were disappointed not to be able to hire them. If you have the money, I can think of no better company to build you the fanciest and most expensive pool you can buy in the area.
Description of Work: Came to our home to provide a quote for in-ground swimming pool. Returned once to present the design, then worked with us by e-mail and phone to try and come to an agreement for construction.

They took over three months to finish the pool. There was a lot of down time from one thing to the next. They would go for two weeks without anything happening. There was no explanation for it either. They don't keep their patrons informed. They aren't committed to letting you know what's going on.

They came highly recommended to us for pool construction, and after getting several other bids, we decided on Vivion based on the knowledge and quality of construction they showed us from the beginning. We worked closely with their designer who was very patient with us, making the changes we requested. The overall construction of the pool was an excellent experience, taking around 60 days as promised. We had a sloping terrain and wanted a rock ledge built into the slope, with a "waterpark-like" slide, so the project was not a typical pool built in the back yard. It all went well, in spite of a few delays due to weather. They've been responsive to our needs and have had good service after the sale. We did have an equipment problem last winter in the ice and they came out in the freezing weather to fix it. Plus, that same piece of equipment has now burned out, so, just today, it was replaced. We're still talking to them regarding the warranty. We highly recommend Vivion to build you a great pool. They've been in business for years and years...not one of the "here today, gone tomorrow" pool contractors.
Description of Work: Please note that the name of the company is VIVION POOLS. They built a wonderful salt water pool, with a heater, waterfall in a rock ledge, waterpark - like slide, sunbathing deck (which is perfect for our younger grandchildren to play on), and a bench around one side for the parents to sit in the water to watch the kids.
