Cole communicated very well throughout the process. he provided excellent drawings of the design during the quote phase. We made some minor adjustments and scheduled a date for install. We had to push by one day due to rain, but that was communicated to me well in advance. His approach is to do as much off site as possible so that the install goes a smoothly and cleanly as possible. All wood was stained and cut at his shop except the 4 posts. those were cut on site to make sure pergola would be level. his team was friendly and you could tell that they knew what they were doing. they finished instalation in about 3.5 hours. My pergola is very big (24 X 17) and beautiful. I have already recommended Cole to a couple of friends.

Cole was good to reply quickly to my initial request for a quote and emails all throughout the process. My first indication that something wasn't right was when it took Cole over a week (from the day I asked for it) to send me the invoice for the 50% deposit, so I could pay him, get the material order, and get this process started. Initially I was told that it would be 2-3 weeks before the install, they would have to order the wood and stain it once it arrived. However it took approximately 8 weeks from the date of the initial estimate before the pavilion was complete. Week after week I was given excuse after excuse as to why they would not be able to come out and start the build on the dates I was being promised. Excuses ranged from trailer problems getting the wood delivered from Oregon to Tulsa, other higher priority projects in OKC, back injury of his co-worker, a wedding/vacation in the Bahamas, to the inability to rent a material lifter from a local rental company. Each of which delayed the install days if not weeks at a time. While all these excuses sounded legit at the time, it's the compounding nature of them all that began to infuriate me. Cole did give us a and quot;delay discountand quot; to help compensate for the lengthy delays getting started. And I appreciated his willingness to do that proving he WAS serious about the project. Once complete the pavilion looked awesome. We have already had a lot of compliments from friends and family on it. I am very pleased with the quality of Cole's work and his responsiveness to emails and phone calls throughout the process. It was the numerous excuses and delays that ruined the experience for my wife and I.
Description of Work: Tulsa woodscapes built a 16'x16' gabled pavilion/patio cover in our back yard. They listed it as the "Muddler" design on their website. The pavilion is built out of a very nice grade of western red cedar, beautifully stained, and roofed with standard composite shingles that match our house. The pavilion was built on an existing concrete slab in our back yard, poured last fall specifically for a pavilion of this size.

Came out for initial visit to do our backyard (covered patio, outdoor fireplace, etc) . After discussing what we wanted and taking measurements and pictures he left and said he would come back with a rough design and quote for us to go from. He said to give him a couple of weeks to get something together, so we gave him about a month. After a month I finally emailed them and he apologized and said he would get something to us by the next Monday. The next Monday came and went and we never heard from him again. I can understand if you are too busy to do every job, but don't tell us that you will do something especially if you know will not. If you can't do it, just tell me and I can move on. Although I can not judge them on their quality of the work they actually do, their professionalism is very poor.
Description of Work: No services performed. Asked for initial design and quote, and didn't receive either.

During the planning stage Cole came to look at our deck and measured the dimensions. We talked about options and agreed on a design. Later Cole emailed a picture of what it would look like on our deck. We made some suggestions and they modified the plan to suit us. Woodscapes converted the drawing into the lumber required to build the pergola. Everything was pre-cut into what was basically a kit to be assembled on site. We chose to use cedar. After Woodscapes received the material they pre-stained it to match the finish on our existing deck. Once everything was ready two men came and completed the construction in 2 days. The finished product exceeded our expectations. I publish an internet Blog called Tulsa Gentleman and posted a series of photographs of the construction. You may see it at: http://tulsagentleman.blogspot.com/2011/06/pergola-post.html
