i think that if my questions would have been answered as I requested that i probably would have had the work done even though I thought the price was a little high for what I had planned on doing. Was contacted by Steven Jones today and he explained his apparent lack of response to my questions. He thought they had been sent, but were in his draft folder in his email. Appologized for the error and promptly sent me those answers. All answers were clear and responsive. If I do decide to go ahead with this project as he proposed I would still consider using them even though the pricing is still high for what I originally budgeted for. Thanks for your response Steven
Description of Work: The owner of the company came to my home to give me an estimate on siding the house. He was very polite and made the appointment on time. We discussed several things that needed to be done verbally and he prepared an estimate and emailed it to me pretty quickly. The estimate was pretty general in nature in its discription of the work to be done and left several questions unanswered so I emailed my questions back and requested clarification on some things that had been discussed while he was on site and didn't seem to be covered in the quote. I got a reply saying that if we decided to proceed that my questions would be answered in some kind of a web conference. Since I was needing the answers to those questions to make the decision as to whether to proceed or not I emailed back that they would need to be answered before I was willing to proceed and it seemed to me like he was telling me that we were going to do it their way or not at all. I replied that if they were reluctant to answer questions I need to make the decision up front then I would make other plans and would not be having them do the work... His reply was OK...and that is the last I heard from him. Company has a good local reputation and they seem to use high quality materials and do good work....I just don't do business like that.

Tulsa Renew performed the siding job in a timely fashion. If there was a delay because of weather, they kept us updated. Overall, the workers were prompt, very polite, patient and professional. Steven is a good communicator and very reliable. The job took some time to complete, but it was because every detail was addressed. Job well done!
Description of Work: Steven Jones and his staff were excellent. Tulsa Renew did a fine siding job, window installation and exterior paint finish. We were very impressed with the professionalism with which the job was bid and executed. The crew was polite, efficient and very conscientious about keeping a clean job site. Our landscaping is delicate and the crew was careful to preserve the integrity of the shrubs, trees and flowers. Steven worked with us on every detail (sending us daily updates via Utube) and was easily available whenever we had a question or need to be addressed regarding the workmanship or materials. This is an excellent company, well run, with an excellent product and crew. Steven is trustworthy and very personable. We highly recommend Tulsa Renew especially for homes in the Mid-town Tulsa area.

We recently contracted Tulsa Renew to install Hardie Plank on our home. We had a more difficult job than most because the Hardie Plank needed to be installed on the third story. The first two stories of our house are stone. After installation, the Hardie Plank was to be primed and painted. It was a pleasure to deal with Steven Jones and both the installing crew and paint crew. All were very professional, respectful and very customer oriented. They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the job, which we were. We would definitely recommend Tulsa Renew to anyone needing quality work performed. UPDATED NOVEMBER 4, 2012: After writing my previous review, I realized I did not comment on just how clean the crews left the work site each day and upon finishing the project. It was amazing how clean and what a small footprint was left after such a huge project. Once again, we would recommend Tulsa Renew for the quality of their work. We have lived with the finished project a week now and have closely examined the work and can say we are extremely satisfied.

From the time I contacted Steven for an estimate through completion of the job, he was in constant communication with me. He paid close attention to detail to ensure every door feature I wanted was included in the order. He emailed photos of the doors so I could see exactly what I would be getting. Installation was a breeze. They arrived at my house at 8:00 a.m. (when they said they would be there) and finished by 11:30 a.m. Hanging wreathes on my front door created unsightly scratches on the door finish. I tried touching up the scratches myself but it didn't look nice. Steven had the door sanded and repainted. Now it looks like new. You can't even tell where the scratches were. They even took the time to snap a couple of loose pieces of siding back into place on the back of my house and trim an excess piece of roof shingle that was hanging over the side of the patio covering. It's the little things that make a difference and speak volumes. Overall, my experience with Tulsa Renew was wonderful. The storm doors and freshly painted front door look great! Steven and his crew are very knowledgeable and professional about their trade. They are punctual, dependable, personable and very neat. The work area was so clean you wouldn't know I had any work done. I would definitely hire Tulsa Renew again and highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.

Work started on a Wednesday morning and they were finished the next Tuesday! Everyone who worked on the house did so in a professional manner. They installed all 16 windows in one day and there was nothing left for me to clean up after them. They installed and painted the siding in 7 days. They always cleaned up the work site each evening before they left for the day. The work they did was excellent! Steven showed up at the site several times a day and also emailed pictures of the daily progress to me at work. He truly was only a phone call away the whole time his crews were there working. My house looks brand new!!! I will definitely recommend Tulsa Renew to everyone I know.

Steven was prompt when he showed up for the quote process, he efficiently took the measurements and suggested ideas as to what would work well with the style of our house. Steven had the quote ready within minutes of finishing our conversation. Steven thouroughly covered the scope of work prior to signing of the work agreement. Steven ensured that we were getting the work done that we wanted and expected. The day the dumpster and material showed on site I recieved a video showing me the position of the dumpster, and after expressing concern over the placement of the materials Steven was on site within an hour and made arrangements to get the material moved. The installation crew was professional and hard working. They took time and care during the installation process. Steven sent an update video and sent to us each morning and afternoon. My wife and I did walk arounds in the evenings and the concerns we had were addressed the next day to our satisfaction. The painting crew powerwashed the entire house not just the new siding they were going to paint, which help the look of our existing stucco. The prep work done by the painters was extensive, they caulked all side/butt joints on the new siding, sealed the existing fascia and eves, and taped off everthing that was not going to be painted. The painters completed most of the job in one day, after which we did a walkaround and marked areas that we wanted addressed. The final day the painters touched up the areas we were concerned with plus a few that they saw while working. We completed a final walk with Steven to ensure we were satisfied. Steven left us with the assurance that just because the job was "complete" didn't mean he was out of contact. Steven wanted us to know if we had any issues or concerns that came up we should contact him. Steven also referenced another trade to help us complete another project around our house. The Tulsa Renew team was great to work with, Steven's embrace of technology and attention to clients concerns are what made hime the choice for us. Tulsa Renew's bid for the scope of work was in line with the other quotes we recieved. They were neither the cheapest nor most expensive. Tulsa Renew increased my confidence about contractors delevering what the promise.
Description of Work: The crew from Tulsa Renew installed and painted HardiePlank® lap siding over the existing cedar siding. The process took about a week in it's entirety. The used Sherwin Williams paint and a 30 year caulk.

Steve Jones was here everyday, monitoring the job site to ensure all was good! His You Tube daily progress reports were excellent! His siding crew and painting crew were very professional; there were 7 painters working in the crew. They were here very early each day-no waiting for the work to begin! The entire job took 8 days...6 days for siding and 2 days for painting. Tulsa Renew wants a happy customer. Steve is great at building relationships along with the re-building of your home.
Description of Work: New Hardie Board Siding installed after old fiber board siding removed. Replaced a French door, repaired 3 others. Painted the whole house. New frieze boards and fascia trim throughout, various other small repairs made (replace chimney cap, replace garage door weatherstripping, repair deteriorated sheathing, soffit, and shutter).

After a recent storm when several pieces of siding had come loose and beat against the house during all night, I finally decided to replace the vinyl siding on my home which had become so warped that it looked terrible! I called several businesses listed with the BBB and Angie?s List but only two showed up for their appointments. I was really impressed with Steven Jones of Tulsa Renew. We spent nearly an hour walking around and discussing what clearly needed to be done. While Steven?s estimate was more expensive, I knew I did not want to be replacing siding again in 15 to 20 years. It had rained hard the night before the job started. When Steven and his crew showed up (20 minutes early), and the yard was still pretty wet, he asked if I would mind delaying the start until later in the day to prevent damaging the lawn...instead of tearing off siding, they caulked the entire outside of the house! WOW! I am so glad I chose Tulsa Renew! Steven and the guys were extremely polite and highly skilled and the HardiePlank® siding looks incredible! Not only did they replace the siding, they replaced one window, fascia and soffit, covered the front porch posts and painted everything?they even painted the garage door so it would match the siding! Everyone in the neighborhood took notice?our new siding was even the talk at choir practice! While HardiePlank® siding is more expensive than vinyl siding, it is definitely a superior product and worth the money. You can?t go wrong with Steven Jones and Tulsa Renew!

Steven Jones and the Tulsa Renew crew did a fantastic job on our 1,800 sq.ft. 1950 brick and lap sided house. We were most impressed with the speed and quality of the work. Demolition, preparation, spray foam insulation (on a portion of the house), and installation of the Hardie siding took 3 days. Painting (the entire house) took one day. Cleanup and miscellaneous tweaking another day. Steven kept us well informed throughout the project via photos, videos, and text messages. The only negative was that an exterior window pane was accidentally broken during the demolition phase. However, Steven immediately jumped on the issue and is working with our window company to get it replaced. Overall, we are very pleased with Tulsa Renew and their work and have already recommended them to others.

Tulsa Renew went above and beyond the call of duty in every way. The estimate was complete and accurate and he described all the work that would be done in detail. Our home's wood siding was suffering from water and squirrel damage and consequences of poor workmanship by other companies in the past. Steven gave us a very competitive estimate for residing our home with cement fiber panels and a 25 year paint guarantee so our revolving maintenance problems and hodge podge patched siding are a thing of the past. He is not only meticulous about his workmanship, but also helped investigate and solve the root causes of our damage and either fixed them as part of the project or called in other professionals to provide us with advice on further enhancements. He even installed a new front door and hardware which had been sitting around in our garage for a couple of years. We never got around to putting it on., His workers are fast and courteous and quick to follow his instructions on any details that he wants done in a certain way. His renovation made us fall in love with our house again. We will definitely recommend him to friends and will not hesitate to use him on any projects we have in the future. Steven is very flexible and attentive.
Description of Work: Tulsa Renew repaired water damaged areas in our chimney area and removed patched and damaged wood siding on the sides of our house where squirrels kept making holes. These areas were covered with insulation boards and then the cement fiber siding planks. The other areas of our house did not have damage and the siding could be applied on top. Everything was caulked very carefully and completely and the already primed boards were primed again for an even better finish and then painted the final coat. The gutters were fixed where it was within the scope of the work and painted to match as was the garage door, and soffits. The front door and hardware we had purchased were installed and painted as well. The area was kept clean and neat during the whole project and video updates were sent to keep us informed between visits.

The company has a great website; I received YouTube updates daily - 3 times the first day! The proprietor called or emailed or texted frequently to keep me updated on progress and confirm conversations; the work was fast! The site was clean every day. The only downside in the "Price" category is that I'm not sure if the price was competitive, since I didn't get another quote.
Description of Work: My brick home was built in 1950, many things need work. I had "visitors" in the attic coming through old wood. Tulsa Renew replaced the siding in two gables and the siding covering the chimney vents with Hardie board and painted. The flashing details improved the original construction. The final finish blends well with the old, with some very nice new touches. Installed and painted in 5 days!

I had Steven and the Tulsa Renew team work on my home that was built in 1940. Anyone who owns a "vintage" home knows that no matter how well thought out and planned, any remodel job has its challenges! But, Steven took on this project with excitement, commitment to excellence, and a not-going-to-stop-until-it's-perfect attitude. The Tulsa Renew team removed old vinyl siding from approximately half of my home. I also had them remove the old iron guttering, which once we started, realized was originally secured under the actual rafters and ceiling joists, not just the shingles! The team worked tirelessly, but took on the challenge with a sense of ownership not often seen in contractors. Anyway, once we finished this phase, we replaced all the fascia boards (which required some creativity as the old boards were made up of 3 different layers of trim), wrapped the exterior with moisture barrier, installed the new Hardie board siding, and painted. I also had Steven and his team install 4 windows and 3 doors. And let me tell you, my front door is probably the most level and plumb door in all of Tulsa! Along with the siding project, I had Steven build me the patio cover I've always wanted (modest and small, but well worth it) and pour me a new patio. I have never seen a group of guys work so diligently to make sure that concrete was so perfectly set! When a contractor takes the time to watch the concrete cure and make sure not a single leaf or blade of grass gets on it, you know it will be perfect! When it came to finishing touches on the project, Steven listened to my ideas about trim on the front and back patio posts and honored my wishes to do something a bit unique, or non-standard, to the exterior ceiling of the porch and patio ? and it turned out beautiful! We also spent a lot of time discussing paint, and with no concern for how much time it might take, he came over three times to paint samples on so I could really get a sense of the color before we painted. And the painters ? wow, probably the best painters I?ve ever seen! Not a drop of paint where it shouldn?t have been, and applied with a precision that most painters couldn?t achieve in days. These guys even went around my house with heaters (we painted on a cold, wet day) to make sure that the paint was sufficiently cured before they left. I?ve grown up around residential construction trades (worked with my Dad for many summers as a drywall/texture professional) and believe me, I?ve seen it all. I?ve seen how careless and lazy some contractors can be, how rude and crude they can be, and how impatient with homeowners they can be. But, Steven and his team were the kindest, most professional, most patient guys I?ve ever met. All my friends will tell you that I am one of the pickiest people you?ll ever meet. Steven?s tagline (even painted on his truck) is ?I?m pickier than you are.? I thought, well, we?ll see about that! But, quite honestly, I believe he is! In fact, once my guttering was installed (by a different company) they got together and decided there was some area around the new patio cover they just didn?t quite like. So, they got together and re-worked all of it. I quite honestly hadn?t even noticed, but Steven wanted it to be perfect ? and now it is! I highly recommend Steven and Tulsa Renew for any siding, window or door project you may have. You?ll be impressed with the professionalism, attention to detail, and level of communication with the homeowner. His photo and video updates of daily progress on the work are invaluable, and definitely lets you know that there is no need to worry about going on to work while the work is being done. I trusted Steven completely and it was fantastic. In these tough economic times, spending a significant amount of money on any project involves careful consideration. I am very happy about my decision to make the investment in the work, and would do it all over again with Tulsa Renew.
Description of Work: Tulsa Renew performed the following services on my home: removal of vinyl siding from approximately half of my home removal of existing guttering installation of Hardie plank siding (with moisture barrier wrap) installation of 4 windows and 3 doors custom exterior paint addition of concrete patio and construction of patio cover (tied into existing roofline)

While in traffic i seen a Tulsa Renew logo on a truck. I happened to be doing some home upgrades at this time so i googled the company to see what they did. I called to get a estimate to replace my front door. The owner, Steven, came the next morning & gave me the simple basic options to begin with (which is what i wanted) nothing fancy or over the top & quoted me the price. I wasnt expecting it to cost so much but after having already read several good reviews about his work i decided to go with him on the spot. Great choice & it was worth every penny! Tulsa Renews crew did a fantastic job! I had no clue how much skill & work went into replacing a door. The door is exactly the color red i wanted. Poor guy! Anyone that has painted knows that red is a difficult color but he did a flawless job & it turned out beautiful! Taking out the door jams left some barely noticeable chips on my already old paint. Steven somehow matched my paint exactly & had the whole wall repainted, even the molding : ) He completely deserves the "picky" title! My house is 19 years old but my entry way looks brand new! This whole experience was perfect. Steven kept me updated every step of the way from when my door would be in to who would be coming to my home to install & paint & how long it all would take. The project took 2 days. 1 to install. 1 to paint. Steven came both days to help his crew set up & make sure they were on the same page & he came back when it was completed to double check everything. Cant say i've ever seen a owner so hands on. It was nice & reassuring not to mention he smells amazing! HaHa!

Overall great experience. Steven was very responsive during the bidding process, and that quality carried over during the process of ordering parts and performing the installation. They set and met our expectations with regard to timing of our order and the amount of time required to perform the installation. Tulsa Renew was not our low bidder, but working with a professional made any additional cost well worth it. I would certainly use this company again.

We recently searched for a company to replace the siding on our home. We came across the Tulsa Renew website and watched the videos and read the testimonials. We contacted Steven Jones and he timely returned our call and scheduled a time to meet us for a quote for our project. I say “quote” rather than an “estimate” because there were no hidden add-ins. Steven kept us updated with the progress of the project and addressed any issue immediately and always to our satisfaction. He does not settle for imperfection. The experience, from the initial call to completion of the job, was excellent! The project was completed timely and the jobsite was cleaned at the end of every work day. We would recommend Steven Jones and his company, Tulsa Renew, for any siding replacement job you may have. We are very pleased with the Hardie Plank Siding and the installation and have received many compliments from our neighbors.

The work went very well. Gave us an estimate of three weeks to account for weather. Finished job in 10 days. Site was cleaned up every evening. Company owner was on site every morning and evening to make sure things were being down right. Even pointed out things I didn't see. Very nice person to work with.
Description of Work: Our home needed new siding as it was old masonite that the birds loved putting holes into. Looked up Hardiplank on the internet and found Tulsa Renew. Gave them a call. The owner called, came out and gave us an estimate on the spot. New his business so we went with the company. We weren't disappointed. Should have called him years ago. Siding was replaced and house repainted. Did an excellent job.

It went excellent. I just told the story in the section about services performed. 5-star job. I would highly recommend Steven Jones and Tulsa Renew, unequivocally. It was such a pleasure to my wife and I to deal with someone who cares about their work, and the quality shows.
Description of Work: Our house was built in 1974. We still had the original walk-through door to the garage on the west side of the house, and it was falling apart. We also had 2 places on the south, on the patio, and on the east, where wood siding had been corroded by the elements - weather, hail and rain over time. We got 2 bids for the work and chose Tulsa Renew, owned by Steven Jones. We negotiated what I believed to be a fair contract amount for the work, but that just set the stage for biggest surprise was yet to come. My business is real estate. I own a commercial brokerage company and have developed and owned with partners commercial properties over the years. I cannot recall a contractor as conscientious, timely and professional as Steven Jones was in the peformance of this very small job for us. From the first contact with him, he was courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. He told my wife and I what he was going to do before he did it, told us when the materials would be delivered, told us what he was doing as he did it, and then told us what he had done after he did it. I recommend Steven Jones as a 5-star complement to any work anybody may be considering. I knew going in ours was a small job, but Steven treated us like this was a job he was very appreciate of and was very thankful for the opportunity to work with us. When in today's times does someone treat a customer this way? Steven Jones set himself apart, and he stands apart in his field - a true professional who cares about his work and does what he says he's going to do. One P.S. The Saturday after the job was completed on Wednesday, our front doorbell rang. It was his sub who had i nstalled the new fiberglass walk-in door to the garage. He said he needed to fix the dead bolt lock. Steven had not mentioned this, but sure enough, it was a tiny piece that the sub did not have the part for on Wednesday. He was finished in 10 minutes. I wouldn't have known, but Steven and his sub did.

Steve came out to look at the situation. He was perfectly on time. He quoted a price and I asked for some time to think about it which he was totally okay with. I talked it over with my man and I tried to get in touch with another company just to get another perspective on it, but after waiting a few hours to hear back from another company, I decided I like Steve and called him to schedule the door installation. Steve let us know it would take about 2 weeks to get the door and supplies ordered so we scheduled the install for about 2 weeks from that initial meeting day. The door installation took less than four hours. He told me all the stuff that was done to make the new door awesome, but it was a little technical for me so I just nodded my head and said things like, "great!" and "nice!" The new door and doorframe did all the talking and I understood everything it was saying. The door is solid, it swings open all the way (unlike my old door that was so crappy it only opened maybe half-way with some serious shoving), the door stays closed even when it is unlocked, it is sealed extremely well, we have been assured the rainwater that pools outside the door will not get in (will watch for that during the next big rain), and the deadbolt works like butter. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. Thanks, Steve and Angel!
Description of Work: The back exterior door needed to be replaced. It was a very unusual size, it didn't open all the way because it was probably hanging crookedly and had next to zero clearance off the floor, and the deadbolt connection was practically worthless. Also, I think the doorframe needed to be rebuilt.

The experience was semi-pleasant. The project showed good workmanship until it was time to do the french doors, the front door, and windows. The painting and stone work were done beautifully. The front door and the french doors have to be reinstalled and are still not right. The windows were never caulked properly. One of the outside fixtures still doesn't work correctly. I would like to note that Mr Steven Jones was late for every appointment except for the initial one where we signed the contracts. Mr Jones, company's owner, did not seem to understand that the doors and the windows were leaking air and that it was costing me money. He said that it would be approximately 2 weeks before he could return, as I refused to allow the subcontractors who did the unacceptable work back into my home. Mr. Jones did most of his communication via text which I did not like because I might not get his message until the next day. He now is not communicating with me, at all, and I have started a complaint via the Better Business Bureau. If we cannot resolve the matter through them, I will be filing in district court. *Update* 01/26/2012 Still have not resolved all the issues with Tulsa Renew. As of last week, the BBB was allowing Mr. Jones and Tulsa Renew 7 business days to correct the outstanding issues and reimburse me for damages caused by his company. Since the service was performed in October of 2011, I find it very sad that a contractor has to be forced to do what is right by wither the BBB or a court of law when they claim to be an honest company. Why should a customer have to wait 3 months to have issues addressed and problems fixed? They shouldn't. PERIOD. I hope you will think long and hard before using this company or individual to do any work on your home.
Description of Work: Tulsa Renew installed Hardie Board siding and painted it, stone, 3 doors (outside garage door, front door, and french doors in the back of my home, 3 replacement windows, replacement a garage door, and replaced 2 outside lighting fixtures.

Response from Tulsa Renew
We are thankful that the member chose Tulsa Renew to renovate her home, and that she is pleased with most of the work. Our goal is complete customer satisfaction, and that is why we attempted to contact the member on several occasions to schedule a time to address her concerns, which included a faulty light fixture, weather stripping, and a garage door. Once the member found a time for us to come, we went above and beyond by not only addressing her concerns, but replacing and painting an entire garage door at our expense (the member did not prefer the handles that were on the garage door, and the handles couldn't be removed without leaving unsightly holes, so we replaced it entirely). We disagree with the member's claim that we were late to every appointment. We were, in fact, on time or early to each appointment. We continue to respond to the member in a professional manner, and we have an open dialogue with the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter. Sincerely, Steven Jones Owner/Operator Tulsa Renew

My wife and I are very pleased with the siding work performed by Steven Jones and his Tulsa Renew crew. We had been trying to get the work completed for 6 months, and had begun to think that there were not any reliable contractors in the area who could and would do the work. I had scheduled appointments with 3 contractors who agreed to provide quotes, and only 1 showed up. I agreed to accept the quote of the one guy who did show up, and I never saw him again. After 6 months of delays and excuses from the contractor, I decided to try to find someone else. I had already decided to replace the original wood siding with Hardi-Panel fiber cement siding, so I searched online to find a local contractor who was a certified installer of the product. I found the Tulsa Renew website, and scheduled an appointment with Steven Jones. Mr. Jones met with meet at the scheduled time, inspected the existing conditions, took measurments, gave me a detailed explanation about what he planned to do, and gave me a quote for the work on the spot. I called Mr. Jones the next day to accept his quote and schedule the work. He said his crew could start work the next morning, and would have the materials and a dumpster delivered to the site that afternoon, and both were there when I got home from work. When I got home from work the next day, Steve and his crew had already removed all the old siding and trim, and had most of the new Hardi-Panel and trim installed. I was not surprised, because Steve called me several times during the day to give updates on progress. He even emailed videos recorded during the demolition and construction to show what they found and how the new siding was being installed. They finished the job within 3 days, including caulking, painting and cleanup. We are very pleased with the professionalism, communication and craftsmanship displayed by Steve and his Tulsa Renew crew, and would not hesitate to hire him again, or refer others to him.
Description of Work: Replaced siding and trim on southern exposure of house.

Tulsa Renew were remodeling our neighbor's home and we eventually met Tulsa Renew owner, Steven Jones. We had planned to remove our old vinyl siding on the front of our home sometime in the future but after watching the workmanship at our neighbor's home, we decided to request an estimate from Steven. He promptly gave us a quote, start date and brought paint color options to us within 24 hours of the estimate! They started when they said that would and kept to the agreed upon price. Steven and his crew were meticulous and detail oriented. Steven called me several times throughout the job to see if we were happy with the progress and to keep us apprised of any changes. We would highly recommend this quality company to anyone, whether it be a small job like ours or a big job like our neighbor's; we couldn't have been happier!
Description of Work: HardiPlank siding was installed and painted on our front porch and on the chimney or our home.

The project went great. The services performed on our two story house are as follows: 1. replaced rotted wood on our house 2. removed all rain guttering 3. added flashing to areas that had potential for water retention 4. sanded/primed/caulked prior to painting 5. placed paint samples on house to aid in color choices 6. applied house paint 7. Site Cleanup Steven is extremely professional and personalble with a great attitude. He is very communicative with phone calls and emails showing pictures and videos throughout the process and wants to please the customer. He made suggestions that were helpful and followed up with good explanations to back his comments. Things were done timely and on schedule with no surprises, which has not been our usual experience with contractors. His crew were hard working and very polite and pleasant. The hardest part of the whole process for us was having to deal with our two large dogs during the project. There is no doubt that we would use him again.
Description of Work: We had our house painted. It was in pretty bad shape because it hadn't been painted in about 10 to 15 years. We originally wanted to replace all the wood with composite siding but that was too expensive for us at this time so we opted to simply paint the existing wood knowing that some of it would certainly have to be replaced.

This was an exceptionally good experience for me after a long life of mis-trusting contractors, and doing it myself. I have a 2700 square foot home with about 20% coverage of stucco, and the rest hardie-Board siding now. The whole process took about two and a half weeks to completely remove old siding, install new siding, make a plethora of small stucco repairs, rebuild my chimney, install a couple of exterior doors, Paint the stucco, paint the siding, and paint the trim [three colors] with both high quality primer and paint. When the additional doors came in from special order, they were installed promptly. Some of the things one doesn't expect, but that were cheerfully taken care of: I got new vent covers where needed or recommended. I got several stucco repairs done that were not specifically mentioned in the contract. I got all my electrical fixtures changed out [I did purchase them myself, but the crew installed them without charge]. I got some cracks in the joint between my concrete slab and my concrete patio repaired/leveled before the patio doors were installed. I had some outdoor electrical outlet box covers replaced where needed. I had several wiring issues resolved by routing them behind the siding to improve estetics, and had a refrigeration line moved to improve esthetics. The mess of wiring and old cable boxes around my electrical meter were cleaned up or discarded if not needed. The house is now literally transformed. The crew was professional, prompt, always ahead of schedule instead of behind; and kept me informed constantly by phone-call, e-mail, video updates, and pictures. Though it is not required of any contractor, the owner and his crew are all friends now. HIRE THEM! YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!
Description of Work: Tulsa Renew replaced all my exterior doors, removed Masonite Clap-Board siding, installed new Hardie-Board siding and trim, and Painted the entire exterior of my house including stucco areas. I had just had new windows installed and Tulsa Renew worked with that contractor to provide for correct installation depth to coordinate with new hardie trim around the windows. The old siding was removed and a clean, safe jobsite was maintained. I noticed the Tulsa Renew crew worked fast, but paid attention to detail, and did very high quality work. The owner even made several re-dos on a list he kept updating to ensure excellent fits of the siding between the trim boards, and even replaced some flashing that was not up to perfection. Tulsa Renew also mortared-in the Hardie-to-stucco joints after cleaning up the joints by sawing clean straight lines. The paint job I got was first class and preceeded by a first class caulking job. They used three different colors and were willing to provide large sample areas on the house so that we could be sure the colors were right prior to painting. They even made good on some wave issues my home had due to foam-board underlayment and sheathed areas that needed it with OSB prior to siding. Tulsa Renew also recommended a very good guttering contractor who did an excellent job. The doors were installed very carefully and there was constant quick follow-up when one of the doors had mis-matched hardware,,,until new hardware was obtained/installed, I had the worst-looking exterior on the block, probably on several blocks; but now I have the best-looking house in the neighborhood. One of the references I checked prior to hiring Tulsa Renew, was a job they did re-siding a home owned by a professional paint contractor here in Tulsa. What does it say when a professional painter who paints people's siding for years and years, hires Tulsa Renew to do his own siding on his own home? Mine was a much tougher job with smooth lap-siding installed between corner, end, and window/door trim and it couldn't be done any better!

This was the best experience I have ever had. Steve was in constant contact with me and made multiple visits during the installation. His staff always cleaned up the site every evening before leaving. I was extremely impressed with the care and attention to detail every one paid to this project. The installation crew duplicated the teardrop to the T and the lines run true. His painting crew was meticulous. And by the way , it looks sweet! It turned exactly as I had envisioned. They were on time and on budget. What can I say....It is all extremely positive...that's amazing for me.
Description of Work: I wanted to match the exterior of 1929 garage exactly but in Hardiplank. It was a challenge since the design was 4" teardrop. Also wanted paint to match house trim color. They installed Hardiplank on the whole exterior, caulked, primed, and painted.
