Keep being told it has to be brought back into the shop for repairs and the price is now set at $500. We have agreed to this, yet no one will come and pick it up. These people are more interested in the Grand Lake crowd; not their hometown customers.
Description of Work: We purchased the spa as a refurbished 2 man spa. It was to be used for medical conditions, not recreactional. Because of the unusually cold winter that we had in this area, they are not honoring any leaking fixtures; instead it is ALL ice damage.( according to them ). It had a small leak upon delivery in Oct. 2010 and the temp was 90 degrees .

I purchased the hot tub over a year ago after seeing it at the fair display. I had wanted one for years and gave in when I saw the perfect size for me. Installation went OK, but had a leak within a few days. I was told when I purchased it (used item I discovered after I had signed papers) that I had two years warranty, but it was not in the paperwork disclosure. My fault, since I am old school and somehow still expect people to live up to their word. I knew better, but hoped anyway since the owner seemed so nice. When they came out they said they could find nothing wrong, and since the leak was so slow, held up during the winter, but got worse in February as soon as it warmed a little. I did not push the issue until April when it got really bad, and they discovered a leaking seal on one of the motors. Fixed it (took over a month that time to get response) and everything was OK. I have now developed another leak and called about it Nov. 10, and subsequently twice since then. I went in today in person (DEC. 8) and was looked at as if this was the first they heard of it. The owner wrote down a work order for the first time I assume, even though it was four weeks ago when I reported it. I might add that I even said I would pay them if they would just come and get it working. I have rather bad arthritis in my neck and shoulders and the hot water seems to be the only thing that helps, and I waited so long for this little luxury of mine ( I am by no means a woman of wealth) and I am quite anxious to have it fixed. I know from last experience with them that it is almost impossible to find someone to work on these, because I made numerous calls trying to find someone else to do the work, so I feel as if I am at their mercy. It just seems that nothing I say, either being patient, nice or firm seems to work. I even asked them last spring during the last leak fiasco, which took over a month to resolve, to just tell me they had no intentions of making the repair, and he seemed offended that I should even make such a statement. Am just so tired of the runaround and just want a functioning hot tub. It just never seems that the weather or temperature is right for repair work. Also, if anyone reading this has any suggestions for another reliable repair person, I would love to hear about it. Sounds like a good job opportunity for someone out there. 951-8181 so anyone even remotely thinking you are getting a good deal from this company, be afraid. Be very afraid. I am so disgusted with the total lack of any kind of ethic, work or otherwise. Hope this is not industry standard.
